Episode 8

The girl naively tapped Edwin on the shoulder, at the moment his lungs ceased to draw the needed breath, only then would he understand that she needed to break away to breathe.

For an instant, Edwin did not heed the taps that Diana was giving. He could not stop kissing her lips, they were so unlike any other woman's...

"So truly exquisite..." Thought Edwin.

The boy exerted a bit more pressure on Diana's waist, bit the girl's inner lip with even more sensuality than at first.

What was amusing was that in kissing Diana, he noticed she was very nervous, and how could she not be, if she had never before kissed a man with such passion?

Diana didn't know how to kiss; her lips were tense, they contracted, then her tongue entered Edwin's mouth, exploring each part clumsily and with exaggeration.

Edwin wiped Diana's lips clean after they smudged with lipstick. He caressed her chin in a tender manner.

"You need to learn to kiss me; that kiss is one of the worst I've received..." Edwin scolded Diana, as a smile formed at the corners of his mouth.

Diana bowed her head, embarrassed by what she had just done. Her cheeks turned red, as did her lips, which showed the passionate kiss Edwin had given her.

A strong feeling took hold in Edwin's heart; the girl before him, he found her too innocent, her slight actions evoking in Edwin a feeling different from what he had felt for any other woman.

"You're too innocent..." Mentioned Edwin, lifting Diana's head.

Diana moved her hands, questioning Edwin why he had kissed her in such a manner.

"Why, have you done this?"

Edwin failed to comprehend each of the signs that Diana made with her hands. He placed his hands atop hers, to still her movements.

"I understand none of what you're trying to say..."

Edwin was honest, then reached into the small bag inside his coat, pulled out a piece of paper, and handed it to Diana to write down what she was trying to say.

Diana took the piece of paper from Edwin's hands, grabbed the pen too, and quickly wrote a few words.

"Thank you so much, you are beautiful"...

Diana handed the piece of paper to Edwin, and he could not help but smile upon reading Diana's written words.

"You're unlike any other woman I've met..." Responded Edwin, tucking a lock of hair behind Diana's ear.

Diana was thrilled at the prospect of being Edwin's wife; he was behaving like a true prince towards her.

Never in her life had she been treated with such kindness, except by Teresa.

"Let's go inside; it's time for us to become husband and wife..." Said Edwin, not before kissing Diana's lips once more.

Edwin gently took Diana's hand and placed it on his arm as they entered the Civil Registry.

Swiftly, the news of Edwin Shop's marriage to an unknown woman spread throughout the city. Soon enough, everyone was aware that Fernando Shop's firstborn was marrying a woman no one recognized...

Upon entry; Edwin encountered a man who quickly stopped in front of the couple. He glanced sideways at Diana, then bowed his head to Edwin.

The man was named Teo. He was Edwin's personal secretary, the young man was charged with carrying out any order from his boss, and any mistake was grounds for dismissal...

"Mr. Shop, the judge is waiting for you..." The secretary informed.

"Let's go..." Edwin, accompanied by Diana, walked into the office where the marriage would take place.

"Good afternoon, it's a pleasure for me to conduct this ceremony..." The judge greeted warmly.

"Let us begin, I have less than half an hour for this ceremony; I must make a trip abroad, and I need this to be as brief as possible..." Edwin replied sternly.

Diana turned to look at Edwin, feeling enormously disappointed on hearing that Edwin would be leaving abroad right after the ceremony.

"If that is so, let us begin this ceremony..." The judge was as brief as possible; Edwin's secretary had already explained how things were to proceed, and the judge could not object.

After a few words from the Judge, he placed the papers before Diana, for her to sign.

"Please, put your signature on these lines..." The judge indicated where Diana had to sign.

Diana took the pen from the Judge's hands, leaned forward slightly, and completed her signature. She inscribed her name on each document presented to her, after which it was Edwin's turn, who signed with detachment.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife; you may kiss the bride!" The judge finished his declaration.

Edwin once again placed his hands on Diana's waist, slowly brought his lips close to hers, and as Edwin was about to kiss Diana again, the door to the office burst open.

A beautiful woman with black hair, an exquisite face, a goddess-like body, and a sensual gaze.

"Edwin!" A young woman's voice resonated, and swiftly, Edwin turned to look towards the door upon recognizing the voice.

Her name was Sara, the only woman Edwin had ever loved deeply. They had been together for years in secret, hiding from their parents because Sara did not share the same economic status as him...

Sara left the country in search of an opportunity that might elevate her to the economic level Edwin belonged to. However, upon her return, she was confronted with the news that he was about to marry another woman; impulsively, Sara rushed to the location where the wedding was taking place.
