CHAPTER FOUR

...''ARIA POV"...

I lay on the road, my body trembling from the cold. With nothing but a single piece of clothing, I had nowhere to seek refuge. I resigned myself to my fate, knowing that I wouldn't last much longer in this harsh weather.

As if the heavens themselves were against me, snow began to fall from the sky. Already drenched, my body became covered in a blanket of snow. Desperate for some semblance of shelter, I sought refuge beneath a nearby tree. However, my relief was short-lived when I noticed a car hurtling towards me at an alarming speed.

Fear consumed me, and tears streamed down my face as I tightly shut my eyes, bracing for the impact. The sound of the car crashing filled the air, and although I was still alive, I couldn't help but wonder how much longer my luck would hold.

Whispering to myself, I questioned the fleeting nature of my existence. Yet, my attention was quickly drawn to the man emerging from the car, his face etched with shock as he stared at me.

...''ARIA POV"...

His appearance spoke volumes about his personality. He couldn't be an ordinary person; there was something about him that seemed intriguing and enigmatic. As my eyes wandered to his luxurious car, it hinted at a life of opulence and wealth. Fear gripped me as I contemplated her intentions. What if He had ulterior motives? However, the bitter cold and my desperation for shelter overrode my apprehension. I looked at him, silently pleading for mercy.

Without hesitation, He scooped me up into his arms, and his embrace provided immediate relief, warming my trembling body. He carried me to her car, where he draped a jacket around my shivering form. he gazed at me for a few moments before posing a question.

"What's your name, little girl?"

His deep, intimidating voice sent shivers down my spine. Trembling from the cold, as well as his demeanor, I hesitated to answer. After all, he was just a stranger. Who knew what his true intentions were?

Unperturbed by my silence, he continued in his dominant tone, "Looks like you're a stubborn kitten, SnowFlakes."

I met his gaze, bewildered by his choice of words. I wasn't SnowFlakes. But she insisted, teasing me with a smirk, "My snowflakes."

His audacity stunned me. How dare He claim ownership over me? I suppressed my thoughts, realizing that for the time being, I needed someone to shield me from the freezing weather.

he drove us to what I assumed was his home—a grand and beautiful mansion. Inside, He instructed his staff to provide me with a hot drink, a much-needed respite. With my hands still shaking uncontrollably, he assisted me in drinking the soup.

Afterward, he carried me to a room, cradling me in his arms. Relief washed over me, but fear crept back into my mind. I sensed that he was aware of my trepidation.

he attempted to engage in conversation, and his next question caught me off guard. "Can you speak?" I nodded in response, but it seemed to anger him further. I couldn't afford to aggravate him. My life hung in the balance.

Once again, he inquired about my name. Conflicted, I deliberated whether I should divulge this information. Ultimately, I relented and told him. he repeated my name, but her eerie aura intensified.

"Who are you and why did you step in front of my car? What were you doing in such terrible weather? Do you realize it could have cost you your life?"

His outburst left me trembling, terrified. I dared not cry, opting instead to inquire about his identity. "Who are you, sir?"

"I'm Daniel, your life savior," he responded coldly. Though his words were true, as I would have likely perished on that desolate road, an unsettling feeling settled within me. I expressed my gratitude, thanking him for saving my life. Then, I mustered the courage to ask for his help in leaving the country, hoping He would consider assisting me.

His reaction was unexpected—a devilish smirk played upon his lips, and she remained silent. What could be going through his mind? I followed him to the washroom, where he instructed me to take a warm bath. For a brief moment, I wondered if he would stay with me, but he hastily left the room, leaving me alone.

As I luxuriated in the soothing water, He provided me with warm clothes. Returning to the room, I contemplated requesting his assistance once more. I gathered my courage once more. He sat on the couch, a cold expression on his face as he smoked his cigarette, his gaze fixed deeply into my eyes.

He expressed his desire for something in return, a price to pay for his help. At this moment, I had nothing to offer. He wanted to know my history, but the thought of revealing my past to a stranger filled me with unease. I couldn't risk being hurt again, especially by someone I barely knew.

He approached me closely, lightly grasping my hair. We were now intimately close, and I could feel his breath on my face, igniting an unexpected heat within me. I could feel my cheeks flush, betraying the effect he had on me.

I stepped back, my heart pounding with fear and distrust. I couldn't allow myself to be swayed by his words or the flicker of remorse in his eyes. I had learned the hard way to be cautious and protect myself at all costs.

Wiping away the tear that had escaped, I took a deep breath to steady myself. I mustered all the strength I had left within me and mustered the courage to speak up.

"No," I said firmly, my voice laced with defiance. "I won't allow myself to be drawn into another cycle of pain and manipulation. I've been through enough already." It's my inner thoughts which didn't dare to come out from my lips.

Daniel's expression hardened, his eyes narrowing as he absorbed my refusal. The atmosphere grew tense, as if the air itself held its breath in anticipation of his response.
