Chapter 5 : The secret room

The tiring tea party ended when the sun was about to set.

"Thank you for the joyful moment, Countess Victoria. It was a great time." I said smiling sweetly at the lady.

"Oh my, I would like to invite your grace once again if I ever have a chance" The lady said with a pleased look written all over her face.

She bowed gently at me as I waved at her.

That lady... she could be the most deserving person to be my friend.

'Not that I needed one...' I thought. Peronia, or Lamine's eyes looked lonely. Like it screams that it wants a friend.

She looked pale from behind which the countess also noticed.

"That person... was lonely" Victoria concluded.

She turned back with a sweet smile. Wishing all happiness for her.

It was a nice time.

The sky were dark as the carriage moved. I leaned on the window and looked at my reflection.

Lamine's eyes were full of loneliness and somehow... sadness.

"I chose this path anyway.." I mumbled and looked down. My sight became blurry and fell into slumber.

Ah... what a lonely person I am. Yet again, why is my life like this? And why did I choose such a life?

It was evening.

I arrived late and no one was outside to greet me which brought me to confusion.

I glared at the servant nearby which made him flinch.

I entered the mansion to see someone... happily laughing with the maids? Who... who could it be?

The man turned back and I saw his golden hair and green eyes.

Ah... this j*rk of a guy.

"To what do I owe the visit? Knight?" I said and the atmosphere around me sure was suffocating.

All the servants quickly bowed at me and even the butler looked surprised.

What is happening?

"You're finally back, your grace." He greeted me and held my hand attempting to kiss the back of it.

"Don't" I only said and snatched my hand away from him.

"That hurts, your grace. Why do you look disgusted?" The knight said with a daring look.

"Do you even have to ask? I'm sure you know the answer to your question." I said and turned.

"Grace, Olivia, arrange the bedroom." I said as I noticed I feel sleepy.

"Hmm..." The knight seemed to have misunderstood Lamine's words.

"How irritating." I said and sat on my bed. If that knight never leaves, I'll have to behead him myself.

The door slowly opened and I noticed strange sounds.

"Olivia? You're too qui-" I was a bit taken aback when I saw the knight's uniform but it turned into a smile.

He entered the room with unbuttoned clothes which means he must have misunderstood me.

"What are you doing in my room, Knight Servilantre?" I said with a slight seduction.

He was surprised but he smiled at me with lustful eyes.

"Saintess, don't you think you should call me by my first name now? I didn't know a beautiful woman like you is... a saintess."

That triggered me.

"You know..." I smiled.

But then, I gave him a fierce look as I grabbed his chin and held it up high to match the level ofy face.

"I hate It most when people feel regretful about my current status. Especially when you say that I'm not fit for being a saintess" Every word I let out of my mouth seemed to deeply scare him.

"Y-you misunderstood me!" He said, trying to be defensive.

"Entering a lady's room..." I looked at him and stood up. He was still on the bed looking at my back.

I bent down onto the bed and looked at him as I slowly touched his hand.

"Is the biggest mistake made from a man." I said.

I put pressure from my nails to stab his hand which made him scream.

"Shush... quiet down. Or someone might hear." I said with a low voice.

He was shaking, trembling in pain.

Such a man is a knight? He was stupid to not even hold his sword.

"This room... no one comes inside. Only Olivia, grace, Li... and I enters this room." I said with a creepy smile.

I slowly ran my fingers through his face and choked him.

He unsheathed his sword and was about to attack me with gritted teeth but it only scraped me.

"I wanted to kill you, unscathed. But you've ruined my face." I said as I healed it with divine powers. He fell down from the bed but once charged at me.

"You never learn, fool." I said.

I bent down in order to avoid his sword and held the handle of the sword, stealing it from him. He doesn't have such a strong grip.

He looked surprised so I immediately kicked his face with my shoes which have a pointy stand.

"Ahhh! Help me!!!" The knight screamed holding his face trying to stop the bleeding.

"No one's gonna hear you, dear.." I said and smiled. I slowly walked towards him and made him tremble to the point he pissed his pants.

"Ugh... I hate it when someone makes my room smell.." I looked at the wet pants and kicked his stomach.

"Should I end you already?" I said trying to think about it. But he was swift.

He ran and held the lamp to throw it to me but I dodged it.

I suddenly got surprised as I fell towards the floor as he pulled the carpet I was standing on.

Shoot. I lost the sword.

He held the sword and was about the stab me when I dodged it with my head.

I gritted my teeth and was about to stand when he stomped on my feet.

That hurts.

I glared at him as I used my divine powers, strengthening myself.

"You b*stard... How dare you..."

My fierce gaze shaked him up and took it as a chance as I kicked his foot which made him fall to the floor.

I hurriedly picked up the sword and stabbed it to his stomach which made him scream.

I laughed continuously while stabbing it to him. He gave me a hard time... he deserved it. I thought a lot of times.

I stabbed it again and again until I could see a big hole from his stomach. his eyes wide opened and his blood stained on the carpet.

I gasped for air and sat on my bedroom as I rang the bell.

Olivia and Grace stood outside looking at me.

These kids, or maids are twins. They both have brown hair and purple eyes that stand out. But they are... people who support me with my secret.

They just sighed as I drank a cup of wine and they proceeded into cleaning the carpet and taking care of the corpse.

They nodded as if they received my order.

"Take care of it"

I just washed my hand and head to the bed to get my rest.

It still... carved on my mind.

His screams... I feel like it should have been the lady's screams...

I just sighed and closed my eyes.

I think I really have gone crazy.
