Chapter 4 : She's loved

"Li." I called out the "demon-like creature" for help.

"Yes, master?" Li asked with his cute voice.

"Get rid of those assassins behind us" I said as I looked behind the carriage. Those assassins let down their guard and thought I would be an easy target.

Well, I'm not.

"On it, master" Li said as it disappeared. All I knew was their were screams behind us and blood splattering all over.

I just let out a small smile as the carriage stopped in front of my mansion.

A magnificent one.

I got out of the carriage and received the man's hand helping me get off safely. The maids all came greeting me and bowed.

What good dogs.

"Hm." I let out my satisfaction and smiled as I entered the mansion.

The butler immediately appeared in front of me. Her name was Claire Stevens. She posses purple hair and brown eyes. Not bad for a butler.

"What happened this time?" I asked with a cutesy voice.

"The head maid was caught, your grace" The butler said following me.

"I knew she's going to get caught. If she was going to embezzle, she should have kept it secret" I said and smiled and laughed softly. I didn't use the cute voice I often use inside the mansion. Perhaps because all the people got accustomed to it.

I can't believe those piece of gems took me this far. Perhaps that family had done embezzlement too.

"Could you look into Baron Orgas' family too?" I asked and looked at the butler as she nodded.

"Yes, your grace. But may i ask why?"

I turned to her and frowned. It was my answer. She only kept silent and bowed.

Thinking of it, Viscount Garnas has been letting the Baron's family be in charge of his territory when he was away.

Recalling the times when that lady b*tch said that the viscount touched her.....

I smiled as I got it.

"It seems she had sold her body..." I smiled. "I think this could be the reason why she had such precious gems" I continued to laugh and tapped the doorknob and looked behind.

No one was there. I sent all the knights away so I just sighed and opened the window.

"I'm getting irritated too. Well, you guys just came in time."

Looking outside the window, the men dressed in black looked surprised and I raised my hands as if welcoming the assassins attempting to take my life.

"We're very sorry." They said and charged at me. But they just welcomed their deaths.

"Oh, these bloods are very gorgeous"

I snapped.

The men became paralyzed and I took out a knife and stabbed all of them which made them all scream in agony.

My eyes widened as I laughed thinking about my anger to the baron's family.

"I will not let every single one of you alive!"

I was hailed as the lovely saintess.

"Saintess, have you heard of this story?" The lady asked as she smiled at me.

I'm currently attending the Countess' tea party.

"Lady Victoria, you have to address her grace as duchess." Another countess said trying to get a good impression from me.

"No need for that. I love how you call me, My lady." I smiled.

The people attending the party smiled softly at me and shouted.

"Saintess Lamine is so kind!! As expected of our benevolent saintess!" A lady praised me.

I just softly nodded and smiled at them.

"But, what about the story you wanted to tell me, my lady Victoria?" I asked seemingly curious.

"Well, there are rumors going around about the saintess! Saintess Lamine Servania, also the duchess Servania has been secretly supporting the orphanage. Is it true, saintess?" She asked smiling at me.

"Oh my, I never thought people would find out about it..."

I sounded embarrassed which sure made the people think I was too kind and humble.

Oh my, I can't believe I'm loved this much. I wonder how the lady b*tch would react as I reveal my identity to her. I would be glad if she kneels down on me with blood all over her body.

"Saintess?"

I came back to reality as they called me.

all these chatterings were useful. As expected of my dogs.

"I heard about Baron Orgas' sudden wealth. It appears strange to me..." I said looking worried. Of course, the other ladies took my lead and reacted greatly.

"Saintess, you're not the only one! The viscount and baroness' relationship are too obvious!" Lady Victoria actively said.

"Relationship? I never heard of that." I answered.

They were all silent.

I slightly smiled and looked pitiful in front of them.

"Actually, Baroness Alia and Baron Rico were my close friends before... They abandoned me one time before I unlocked my divine powers..." It was on purpose. My tone were pitiful.

"As a friend, no, I think they don't consider me one. I'm actually worried about the lady... if she ever get caught having an affair to the Viscount..." I blurted it out.

The ladies were surprised and tried to calm me down. My fake tears were working.

"Oh my! That baroness sure do get on my nerves! Saintess, she must not know your kindness! How ungrateful!" The ladies shouted and expressed their opinions.

"But there's another story..." Lady Victoria said and smiled at me.

It seems she's the fish I caught today.

"I heard the viscount left all the responsibility in his territory to the baroness. The decline of the viscount's wealth are also strange. Could it be that... the baroness has been embezzling?" Lady Victoria said inciting the others to react furiously.

"What?! If selling her body is not enough, she also steals from the viscount?!" The ladies shouted in anger.

"Calm down everyone, I'm sure she must have her own reasons..."

"Oh, you're too kind, Saintess Lamine.." The other ladies looked at me with admiration.

I just softly smiled at them with a nervous look.

"I'm not too sure, your grace. Honestly, I heard more and more slaves are coming inside the Baron's house. Could it be that's where she all uses her money?" Another lady butted in which left me a surprised reaction.

"What?" My voice trembled in disbelief.

She still hasn't learned, if so.

I sighed and smiled. It seems this topic must end.

"Let's stop here." I said and smiled kindly. They all agreed and one lady looked at me with a blushed look.

"My lady... I... do you have a crush on someone?" The lady asked and giggled softly.

I smiled. Of course it was a fake one.

"Yes... It's nice to have a crush on someone. It feels like you're alive, you know?" I said and smiled.

Actually, the thought of it angers me. Having a crush on someone... is impossible for me. If I ever fall in love, I might kill him.

"What? Really? Who is it, your grace?!" The ladies shouted and zoomed in front of me.
