Land of cultivation?

The warm beam of sunlight, penetrating through the closed glass window, fell on the girl's sleeping face, along, there were faint chirrupings of the birds outside, indicating that it was morning.

Andrea slightly opened her eyes. First thing she did was to look at the clock. Oh Heavens! It was 10:20 am!! The girl jolted up from her bed and checked her alarm wondering why it didn't rang. Usually for school days, she wakes up at 5:45 am, even when it's holidays, she doesn't sleeps more than 7:30 am. It was her natural habit. But today, she didn't knew why this happened. Then, all the moments of the last night flashed in her mind. It was still hard to take in whatever the heck happened!!

She still couldn't differentiate wether it was a lucid dream or was it real. The strange light power.... what did it do to her? Her left palm went up to reach her forehead to touch it. Nothing. Nothing had changed. She even looked herself on the mirror. The only thing that surprised her a little was that her height has increased few inches, so as her hair! Did that light power thingy was the cause of this? Then her thoughts went to the hooded intruder. Who in the world was he?! Why was he talking to her as if he knows her? Andrea was trying her best to understand the last night's event.

At last, in order to stop her mind to reach unrealistic and stupid conclusions, she just simply assumed that it was a lucid dream. And the dream was due to her imagination. Afterall she always reads Novels whenever she is free.

It was the Sunday morning. Andrea had already eaten her breakfast. By the time it was noon, she was pretty free. But then she remembered that the history teacher told them to do some research on ancient China. She decided to do it with her friends, afterall it is such a drag to do a whole research by yourself and make a perfect presentation. As if on a cue, she heard her phone rang, she looked the caller ID, it was Henry. She picks up "Hello Henry, what's up?" "Nothing much, just wanted to tell you that everyone is coming at my place at 3 pm to make the presentation, we decided to make it as a group project, so you also have to come " He said "Oh, I was also thinking about this. Anyways how's your relationship with Rozana ~" Andrea smirked playfully from the other side "S-shut up! Didn't I tell you, that we are still normal friends " Henry immediately replied with a little blush on his face. "Aw man! Why you are gonna confess? Anyways I will wait for that day. So see ya at 3:00 pm!" With that she hung up.

The Chinese history was nothing new according to her. Afterall, reading many Chinese Novels and manhwas, she was only interested in one topic: Cultivation. The lands of cultivation where you can use your spiritual energies, summon mythical creatures, perform martial arts and many more. Though she doubted wether this 'lands of cultivation ' were actually present in prehistoric times.

Soon, it was 3:00 in the noon. A knock was heard on Henry's door. He opened it revealing his friends.

They chatted for a while before starting their work. After sometime they heard Andrea's voice "Unbelievable! I thought this existed only in fictions and mythology!" They all now directed their attention to her. "What happened?" asked Alice "Did you find something interesting?" "Yes! More than intresting! Look." exclaimed Andrea while showing her laptop to others.

After reading the contents, Yuta was the first one to exclaim after Andrea "Woah!" he said "I only heard about land of cultivation in movies and comics, wasn't expecting it to be real" "Same" answered Rozana.

"Guys...I think we've found our topic! We should definitely do more research about this." said Henry.

"Yes! This can also attract some attention. Afterall this is much more fun than the studying about the wars and the projects between the 'Tang dynasty ', 'Zhong dynasty ' and others " said Andrea. After that they did their research.

While doing research, they also came to know about a certain 'God' named Leng Shao. Because of him, this world is still safe even after his death. He created an invisible barrier which repels other evil celestial beings which can be threat to humanity. They also came to know about Wu Xixi, the woman who cursed this world that there will be no cultivation after her death.

...It is believed that she also cursed Feng Zhu, the woman who was known to be the great guardian of the land and also known to be the lover of Leng Shao. While reading this, Andrea felt like she has seen these names before, but then she shrugs it off thinking that she might have read it in movies or books. ...

After completing the research, they all went to their home. It was the time to evening. The sky was covered with warm light orange rays of the setting sun. The road was a bit less busy in comparison to other days as it was Sunday and people preferred to spend the weekend in their house, resting and chilling.

Andrea was walking on the side of the road. The cool evening breeze caressed her skin and swayed her hair a little bit. It was quite a pleasant atmosphere. A group of children were playing on the side of a footpath without causing trouble to pedestrians and the vehicles passing by. Then all of a sudden "Watch out!" shouted a young boy from the group. They accidentally hit the ball towards the direction of a young lady, who seemed to be unaware of it.

As the ball was about to hit her face, Andrea smoothly doged it without even looking. The children were stunned. The girl then realised what she did. She also got shocked by herself. How did she knew that the ball was coming towards her in a full speed without even looking? How did she managed to doge to so smoothly without looking, when she was herself now a much athletic person?
