SHORTLIST- AUGUST

Before we show the shortlist, we would like to clarify that there are no definite winners as at now but our team of five judges have been reading and analysing all submissions for the past weeks and have finally drafted a shortlist which we will continue to peruse.

With an estimated fifty-four submissions from 17 Star Novels and 37 Star Chat Stories, 17 have made the first shortlist in total this August.

Our team of judges had actually made a more-or-less unanimous statement during the appraisal process: "We're generally and genuinely impressed by the overall standard of creativity amongst MangaToon contributors. It's made selecting a shortlist so tough for us!"

Our team of judges read your stories with the following in my mind: provisional story plot, grammar, structure, characterisation, creativity and capability of audience captivity. We did not take MT popularity or number of followers into consideration. We operate blindly.

We are sad to say that we will not be accepting any more submissions this time round. We would like to thank the participants of the first run-through of The New Star Awards.

As a user on MangaToon, take some time to read and support the contributors who have made it thus far. After all, schemes like this work best when the people involved support each other. But without much further ado, we will attach the provisional shortlist below. Well done to the following:
