Episode 15

Today is a new day, Marco's assistant and friend is waiting for him as usual, standing near the car door, ready to go to the company.

While waiting, he is taken aback when he sees Marco coming out with his mother, but what surprises him most is the suit that Marco is wearing today, since he doesn’t usually dress this impressively. Even if he dresses as usually, all the female employees in the office still drool over him. Now, he looks like he is straight out of a fashion catalogue. While Marcelo is thinking about this, he mentally slaps himself, questioning if he is gay. Without hesitation, he clears his throat and asks very subtly,

"Marco, are you going to the company dressed like this? Honestly, if I didn't know you, I'd think you're getting married," Marcelo says with a humorous tone. Knowing him as he does, he doubts that this would ever happen again. But he would be surprised to find out that his assumption is not far from reality.

Before Marco can respond to Marcelo's question, it's Romina, Marco's mother, who speaks up, "You go on to the office, we still have something very important to do."

Marcelo looks at her puzzled. Normally, she's very cordial with him, although you couldn't say the same for the others. Being Marco's right-hand man, he is well aware of Marco's work ethic, and except for the time Marco went to Mexico, he has worked every day. Even in Mexico, he worked daily up to the last day and even a few hours before heading back.

So, this time he looks back at Marco and he just shakes his head and says,

"It would be best if you come along, as you will be my witness."

Marcelo turns his head and when he sees Alexa, everything starts to make sense, even though there is still one question lingering in his mind. But the answer would come later itself, leaving him almost faint from the stunning revelation.

Marco turns to where Alexa and her family are. When he sees her, he swallows hard three times. She is indeed a beautiful princess, and now she would be his princess. So, he steps forth with his mother and as he passes Alexa, he winks at her, blushing immediately while Mariana just smiles at her little one, thinking to herself how deep her daughter is in love.

Lucio steps forward when the twins stop him and ask with innocent little faces,

"Daddy, why is Ale marrying Uncle?” one of them, Xander, asks.

"Yeah, Daddy, besides, Uncle is your age right?" The other, Alex, questions.

Lucio sighs and looks at his little ones, "He is your uncle because of the love we share, but in reality, we're not brothers. As for why he is marrying Alexa, it’s because they love each other. When both of you grow up, you'll understand what love means."

"Don't worry, Daddy, we already know. When we get sick, Mommy takes care of us and doesn't sleep and even though we ask her if she is tired, she always says no. She does it because she loves us." Xander answers.

"That's right, Daddy, just like when you taught us to ride a bike and I fell, you kissed my knee and I stopped crying because I knew you loved me." Alex adds.

"We love you too and if Uncle loves Ale, we will be happy because she is the princess of our family."

"Great kids, I'm glad you understand. Now let's go, it's time to accompany your sister on the happiest day of her life. Hurry along."

Both children adjust their suits and walk towards the city hall, where they see that what Lucio told them is true. Alexa had a beautiful smile on her face all the time. They also noticed that she looked more beautiful than usual, so they smiled and were happy for their beloved sister.

Alexa is happy. Just a few minutes ago, she signed the paper that indicated she had become Mrs. Marco Lombardo. From that moment on, she would be "Mrs. Lombardo". She feels so much happiness that she doesn't know where to put it all. After the moment was sealed, everyone headed to a restaurant that Mariana had reserved the same day.

She just moves her head agreeing, then steps forward, puts her arm on his shoulder and says "good boy". Before turning around and moving away from him.

When Marco sees the older woman walk away, he feels a chill that he knows only too well and understands who he inherited that intimidating personality from. So, he just sighs and fixes his gaze on the newlyweds. They indeed look like two in love people. He just hopes it is true since he also notices Lucio’s gaze on Marco and is sure that he is not fully on board with the marriage. But seeing Mariana, he understands that she supports this union.
