"Miss Audery!". The principal snapped behind me and I turned towards her.

"Good morning Miss Samantha". I greeted, quickly whipping the tears from my face and putting on a fake smile.

"The first bell has gone yet here you are, catwalking in the hallway!". She chided.

"No ma'am, I-".

"You nothing. Get to class this instant!".

"Yes ma'am". I quickly run down the hallway took a left turn and burst into the math class without even bothering to knock.

If this had happened a dew weeks earlier, I would have given the principal a sassy reply and walked off, not caring that she would give me detention. But the new me was just frightened of everything and everyone now.

What if she knew I was adopted?. What if my friends knew?, or they found out?. They might reject me seeing that I am no longer of their class.

I will probably be forced to sit with the nerds in school, or even hang out alone in the cafeteria. I gulped.  I hope no one ever finds out.

Everyone in class stopped what they were doing and turned towards me, except the math teacher who kept on writing on the board.

"Sorry". I apologized to the teacher who ignored me as he continued to write on the board.

"Hey, Audery, over here". Zayn one of my friends who was the only child of one of the wealthiest musicians in New York waved at me before pointing to a seat near him.

I quickly went over and occupied it. "Thanks". I offered him a small smile.

"Don't mention". He winked making me chuckle. Zayn was cute, he had the looks of an eceryday playboy but he waa also gay. No one knew about this except our circle of friends. Not even his parents.

"Girl, are you okay now?". Matilda, daughter and last child to renowned lawyer to the wealthiest business tycoon in America and also the head cheerleader of our Junior class, who was seated next to Zayn asked. "I tried calling you several times but you never answered". She sounded disappointed .

"I..-". I tried to explain but Zayn cut me off.

"Damn Matilda. She was ill. How is she to answer your calls". Zayn hissed at her.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to ignore you guys". I told them sincerely.

"It's fine". Matilda responded.

"Assignment". The teacher announced making every one including the class, including me, groan.

As school drew to a close, I was dreading Vincent coming to pick me up as he had promised. He had said we would skip dinner at home for an early dinner with me, a decision that had my nerves in a bunch.

It was 3:46pm now. The late afternoon sky matched my mood. Dark and gloomy despite my friends excitedly going on and on about senior year. I did not want to go anywhere with Vincent. The very sight of him nearly gives me a heart attack from sheer fright.

I decided to hitch a ride with my elder sister Annie. I would be safer that way. So as soon as school ended, I said good bye to my friends and rushed towards the senior class section instead of staying to chat for a while.

One of Annie's friends told me she had gone to the field to meet her boyfriend Miller. Miller was the school's senior class quarter back. He and Annie have been dating for almost two years now. Hopefully they will get married one day because they both love each other very much.

I meet both of them just as they were about to make their way towards the car park.

"Annie!". I called out to her and she stopped. 

"Hey you little rascal". She smiled at me, pulling me into her embrace. "I see the tyrant made you change. She joked.

"Who?". Miller asked, while looking confused.

"Vincent". Annie tittered.

"Ohh". He chuckled.

My step sister, Ann-Marie, despite her weird choice of hair colour and makeup was the sweetest person ever. Knowing that we are not related by blood hurts me alot.

"Are you going home?. Can you take me?". I prayed silently for a yes.

"No love. Where is your car?". She replied, making my heart sink.

"Audery!".

The world came to a stand still. Or was it just me. I froze. Every organ in my body stopped functioning the moment Vincent said my name.

"Oh Vince, thank God you came. I'm going over to Millers to have dinner with his parents. Could you give Audery a ride home?". Annie asked sweetly.

I was sweating and shivering at the same time. She just signed my death warrant.

"Of course. You two have fun". Vincent faked a smile as he waved at them while they walked away.

"I.. I....I". I began to stutter.

"In the car. Now". He said in a low whispher.

"Yes". I quickly rushed to the car park and got into his car.

He drove for close to forty minutes before coming to a stop. I had no idea where we were and it was getting dark. I was very scared of what he might do to me. Maybe he would rape me again and then kill me. The location was good enough to dump my body. Oh God no. I gulped.

"How was school". He asked casually like he had not just scared the shit out of me.

"Fine". I muttered.

"I see. You were trying to get a ride from my sister?". He pulled the key from the ignition and threw it into the cup holder.

"No. Yes. I mean..I was". I gulped. "Sorry". I apologized and scooted closer to the door.

"Why do you test me Audery?".

"I... I don't understand what you mean". I told him.

"Yes you do".

"No I don't".

"Do you want me to hurt u?". He growled.

"No". I shrunk futher into my seat.

"Then why do you choose to go against me?".

"I just wanted to get home early. I had an assignment". I lied. Partially.

"Stop lying!". He screamed. Making me whimper. His hand moved onto my lap and I cringed dreading his touch yet I was unable to push him away. I dared not.

"I'm sorry". I said trying to calm him.

"You belong to me now. Your future, your life. Do you understand?". He gripped my arm, tightening his hold as the minutes ticked.

"You are hurting me". I mastered the courage to tell him.

"I love you Audery". Was his response before his grp on my arm loosened a bit.

"You love me?". I mocked, looking at him with utter disgust and disdain. If you loved me you wouldn't have done what you did to me. I thought I was your little sister!". Hot tears fell from my eyes.

"About what happened, I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself even if I wanted to Audery.  I am a man".

"I want to go home". I told him

"I'm not done talking. I'm willing to give you everything you want, just ask. But on one condition.  No man ever is allowed to touch you except me. You will learn to love me Audery, just as I love you".

"I want nothing from you!". I screamed.  "I want nothing. Just give me back what you took. My innocence. I don't love you and I never will. You are sick. And I hate you!".

Slap.

The side of my face hit the window but it didn't break.

"Control yourself. What's done is done".

"Control myself?". I scoffed. I want to go home. I wiped the tears from my face.

"What home?. You have no home. No where to go. My family owns you. You are like a slave with no identity.  No name. You should be grateful I'm giving you this opportunity-".

"Opportunity?". I laughed dryly. I must have a death wish.

"Yes. A choice to get a better future. Keep this secret between us and I garantee a better future for you. I would even buy you a penthouse for your sixteenth birthday do you know how many girls your age will kill for that?". He furrowed his brows at me.

"Girls my age are not getting raped by their brothers". I spat.

"Enough of this". He clamped my wrists before slapping me again then he climbed over to my side. He twisted my hands behind my back instantly rendering me helpless. "Whether you like it or not I will take what I want from you and there is no stopping me. The only way you can get away from me is if you die. Because darling even if you run away, I will find you".

"Please".  I whimpered.

"You will do as I say Audery". He growled under his breath sending chills up my spin and making me shrink back in fear.

"Please".  I yelped struggling to break free as his hand began to unbuckle my jeans. His hazel eyes dark with lust.

"I'm going to have my way with you when ever I want how ever I want. And you are not going to scream or tell anyone". He tightened his grip on me. "Because if you do, I will kill you".
