It was yesterday that I was talking to the Alpha and today I am sitting on my parents' couch.

This reminded me of my supposed boyfriend: the Alpha.

"Yes, come in Alpha Jonathan, welcome," my mother received him, all kind and clueless.
He entered looking for me and soon found me.
"There you are, my mate! Finally, you answered my call. I couldn't bear the longing anymore."
"Don't be fake, Jon. You sent me away to be with Debora and now you come back for free?"
"I ended things with Debora right after you left and I was alone, waiting for you."
"Well, then I'll do what I should have done a long time ago. I, Margarida Leonel, reject Alpha Jonathan of the Silver Moon Pack as my mate."
He placed his hand on his heart and bowed, falling to his knees, feeling the pain of the broken bond.
He groaned and struggled to breathe, my father helped him up and sat him down on the couch. David looked at me with a furrowed brow, questioning.
"Mag? Why is he in so much pain and you feel nothing?"
"Once again, you show that you're an idiot, David. He rejected her months ago, on the day he became Alpha," Daniel clarified.
Daniel was quiet, but apparently, he could see more than everyone else.

"He only sent me away because he didn't see me as a woman, David. Wake up, brother, he rejected me and it hurt a lot, I just pretended so no one would notice. Now I've broken the bond completely and I am free."
Jonathan quickly stood up and looked at me with hatred.
"I prepared a party to welcome you as my Luna, tonight, but since you don't want to, I'll put someone else in your place. That's why I came here. I invite everyone to be present at nine o'clock tonight and I will introduce my new Luna."
"Okay, end of discussion" I agreed.
"Then I'm leaving now" he bid farewell and left.
"Are you sure this is what you wanted, daughter?" my mother asked.
"Absolutely, mother. My place is not here. I will lead the Pack in place of grandma."
"You're going to hide away in that backwater place?" she asked, horrified.
"Just because you don't like it there doesn't mean others don't, mother."
"I was right, I knew you would abandon me, my only little daughter..."
My father embraced her, at the same time someone knocked on the door again.
"Uh oh, the rejected idiot is back, I'll open it" Daniel went to open the door and froze, standing in front of it.
"Who is it, Daniel?" I asked.
"It' it' it's the Supremooooo!"
"Oh, my stars! Open the door and invite him in, boy." My mother took charge.
"Come in, Supremooo." He was finally invited.
"Thank you" Gil entered and calmly walked toward me, he came close and said with a smile.
"My mate."
"My mate" I replied, happy, because now I could clearly sense his earthy pine scent, the alpha male.
We looked at each other, inhaling each other's scent and then we embraced and kissed, forgetting that we were in front of everyone. The feeling is wonderful. Everything as it should be between mates and if I could, I would never let go of him, but I started to hear the growls from my father and I believe he heard them too, so we moved apart.
