Taehyung
You look gorgeous.
A scoff leaves the mouth of the man as he examined himself in the mirror and he looked nothing close to gorgeous.
Taehyung rolls his eyes before he walks up behind the older and he snakes his hands around his waist, gently caressing the lump of his stomach and a fond smile finds Yoongi's lips as he stares at them in the mirror.
Taehyung
You're not fat...You're just thick.
Taehyung spoke softly as he peppered little feathery kisses behind Yoongi's sensitive ear, and it earns him a tiny **** from the pregnant male.
Yoongi
Stop before you make me horny.
Yoongi warns, and he pushes Taehyung away and his eyes travel to the bathroom door, and it stays there for a while before he sighs heavily.
Taehyung
Do you think he's okay in there?
Taehyung raises and Yoongi shakes his head before he walks over to the broad bed and he takes a seat, instinctly, his hand clutches his stomach.
Yoongi
It's the funeral of his dad today so, surely he can't be fine.
Taehyung sighs before nods.
Taehyung
I just wish he'd talk more about this, He's been so closed off and distant for the past few weeks.
Yoongi shrugs, he thinks that Hoseok did speak less, no doubt in the past few weeks but he thinks it's valid. He lost his father whom he loved despite all the crazy shit he put him through so of course he'd start acting a little weird before the funeral.
Yoongi
I mean, it's hard to get used to not having a parent around.
Taehyung
Mr. Jung was literally making him depressed and sad, he said himself that he doesn't care.
That takes Yoongi off guard a bit, Why would Taehyung think like that? Especially since he's previously been so vocal about how Hoseok had to miss his dad, even if he treated him like garbage.
Yoongi
But he was still his dad, Taehyung.
Yoongi
And you know more than anyone how much Hoseok loved that man so how can you expect him to be fine?
Yoongi raises an eyebrow at the younger, who rolls his eyes.
The door of the bathroom opens and Hoseok steps out, his suit neatly fit, and his hands finds his pockets before he speaks.
Hoseok
Are you guys ready to go?
Yoongi
Yeah... Just let me grab my coat.
Yoongi says, and he stands, slowly and Taehyung has to help him get all the way up, before he made his way into Hoseok closet, picking up a pitch black coat, and he throws it on before he steps back out of the room, closing the door behind him, and he pauses at the question Taehyung asks, and it puzzles Yoongi's mind why he even thought that that was something even remotely appropriate to ask Hoseok right now?
Taehyung
Do we have to go?
Hoseok looks at the younger confused.
Hoseok
I don't want to, but what do you think's going to happen if I don't show up to the funeral of my own father? Huh?
Hoseok
Fück's sake, they'd probably think I had something to do with his death.
Yoongi links his arm in Hoseok's before he rubs at the younger's shoulder. Yoongi could see he was getting upset and then that would lead to him and Taehyung arguing just before a funeral which couldn't be a good thing.
Yoongi
Come on, let's just go now. Okay?
Hoseok sighs before he turns, with Yoongi still on his arm. Taehyung sighs and shakes his head before he stands from the bed, and he follows behind them just as Hoseok pulls his arm away from Yoongi. Right, they were still in hiding.
The ride to the church was rather quiet, the only noise being made was Yoongi's heavy breathing, it make Taehyung smile a little. Yoongi being pregnant was one of the few things giving him joy in a while. Knowing that in only 3 months he'd finally be able to meet the baby made him all giddy.
That's kinda weird, given the fact that it's not his child.
Sure, he could say it doesn't bother him much that his boyfriend's having a child with someone else, who happens to also be his boyfriend but...it's all just so complicated.
The car pulls to a stop, jerking Taehyung out of his thoughts, and he looks over at Hoseok, who closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, then another and then another. He was clearly not doing well.
Hoseok nods before he stands in the limousine, and he opens the door, the flashing lights surround him outside the car, and it makes Taehyung uneasy. He really wasn't looking forward to being mobbed today.
He sighs before he makes his way out behind Hoseok, turning to help Yoongi out as well.
Paparrazi 1
Hoseok, Is it true that you've completely abandoned Jung. Co?
Paparazzi 2
Where is Mirae? Did you two have a fight?
Paparazzi 3
I heard you and Mirae broke up, is that true?
Paparazzi 4
Why bring Taehyung to the funeral and not your fiancé?
The questions just keep coming but Hoseok ignores each one. What could he even say? Better yet why did people even care to ask these questions? Especially in a time like this, at his father's funeral.
Hoseok hurries up the stairs moving through the crowd of people shouting at him with cameras in his face and it makes him uncomfortable. At that thought, his mind runs on Taehyung and Yoongi. Were they okay? He stops for a minute before he turns and he spots Taehyung, arms wrapped around Yoongi as they make their way through the crowd.
Hoseok could see just how anxious Taehyung had been, shaking a bit as he moved through the crowd. He still struggled with his anxiety but some days it was worse than others, and thankfully, today wasn't one of those days.
Hoseok sighs before he turns and he opens the door of the church and he steps inside. Practically everyone was there, he sees his aunt, his granddad and his grandmother and he guesses it sinks in a little more.
He was at his dad's funeral...
He feels tears threaten at his eyes just as the doors open again, and he quickly turns wiping his tear away before he turns back to Taehyung and Yoongi, who both look at him with worried eyes.
Hoseok
Let's go find our seats.
Hoseok speaks up and he goes to walk off but Yoongi grabs his wrist, shaking his head.
Taehyung points and Hoseok sighs before he rolls his eyes.
Hoseok
Well, if you guys know then why do you keep asking me? huh?
Hoseok whisper yells and his eyes get teary again, He looked so fragile, like he didn't really know what to do with himself.
Yoongi
Hoseok, we're just trying to help you?
Yoongi tells, and he takes a step closer to the other, but he only backs up, pulling himself out of Yoongi's grasp, and it hurt Yoongi, more than he'd let on, especially since he was a hormonal pregnant omega at the moment.
Hoseok
I... I'm gonna go talk to my grandparents.
Hoseok announces before he turns and walks away, up the isle leaving Taehyung and Yoongi equally concerned.
Taehyung
I know he's hurting and all but he's such an åsshöle
Yoongi sighs but nods regardless.
Yoongi
I just hope he goes back to normal after all this.
They walk off and find their assigned seats, each of them keeping keen eyes on Hoseok, who had been holding a conversation with his grandparents.
When Hoseok had approached his grandparents, he'd be lying if he said he hadn't expected at least a hug from both of them but then again, they didn't care about him. Much like his dad, much like his mom.
Mrs. Jung
Wipe your eyes dear, people might see you crying.
Hoseok does as he's told but that comment makes him more emotional because his entire life his dad told him what and what not to be and even after he passed, that hasn't changed.
Hoseok blinks a few times before his eyes his grandfather, who hadn't looked at him once since he came to stand before them. He seemed almost pïssed or upset.
But he hasn't done anything.
Hoseok
I uhm...I'm gonna go find my seat.
Hoseok announces, only receiving a nod from his grandmother. He gulps as he struggles to put his foot before the other. He finds his way to Taehyung and Yoongi, feeling a little pathetic.
They fit him between them on the bench, and he feels Yoongi's hand slip into his own, gripping it soothingly and he breathes for the first time in minutes.
Taehyung
Did something happen?
Taehyung questions as his hand plays with the small hairs on the back of Hoseok's head, something Taehyung has been doing to sooth him for the past couple of years.
Hoseok nods, closing his eyes as he takes another breath.
He sighs before he opens his eyes and he leans back on the bench, seemingly pulling himself together, but he doesn't pull himself away from Taehyung nor Yoongi, he'd gotten a little too comfortable.
He just hopes his grandparents don't look back and see him.
As time goes by, the remaining guests file into the church, taking their seats, some even coming up to Hoseok asking him how he'd been doing and Hoseok being Hoseok would lie with the fakest smile, telling them how he's been doing get when that's the furthest from the truth.
He'd been doing fine when they decided that they'd get back together but as time wind down, the older would just get so distant and he'd shut down and isolate himself the closer it got to the funeral.
He wouldn't even see his therapist anymore, which concerned the shït out of Yoongi, so much so that he and Hoseok even had an argument over it.
The program ran over quite fast, it was only minutes away from ending, everyone who had some significance in Mr. Jung's (hoseok's dad) life had already given their eulogies. Taehyung had already known that Hoseok said he wouldn't do it since he didn't have anything he wanted to say. Taehyung doesn't think that's true. He knows there are things on Hoseok's mind that he doesn't feel like sharing.
Every thing was going smoothly and Hoseok was doing well, only sharing an occassional tear ever now and again but what his Granddad said had him breaking all the way down.
Mr. Jung
I think that there shouldn't be a world where sons die before their fathers. Especially not my son. Jaewon was an exceptional son, who...who made me unbelievably proud. For the past 30 years he's run my company, making it greater than ever before and he did all that despite the family he'd gotten...presented with.
Mr. Jung
A wife who ran away after stealing his money and left him with a disgrace of son. A son who cannot carry on his legacy but I know Jaewon tried. I saw him, heard him cry every night at what he'd brought into the world and it...as his father it made me sick seeing him like that.
Mr. Jung
But as he did for all those years, he hoped and he succombed to the life he'd been dealt so I shall use today to implore you all to be a little like my son....An amazing son, an amazing husband and business man and an even more outstanding father.
Mr. Jung
Let us now put my darling son to rest.
Hoseok had still been stuck on some specific words. He could almost laugh. Why was he being targeted? " A disgrace of a son" He feels his tears falling from his eyes, and he's on the verge of breaking into sobs, but luckily Taehyung just pulls him up out of the bench, and he starts escorting him outside the church, a hand around his waist to keep him from falling.
He pants heavily as he gets in his head and his sobs are loud. Why did he come?
Taehyung
Come on, Hoseok. We have to get to the car.
Taehyung speaks, seeing the paparazzi make their way towards them and seeing as Hoseok wasn't going to listen to him, he quickly picks the older up before he hurriedly brings him to the car, placing him on his back on the seat before he turns and finds Yoongi behind him, who wastes no time before he hops inside the limousine as well.
Taehyung follows in sync as he hears the flashes of the paparazzi, and he'd much rather hear those shutters of the cameras than Hoseok breath hitching every two second from how hard he'd been crying.
Taehyung looks to his left, and he sees how Yoongi had already let himself be a pillow for Hoseok.
Yoongi looks up from Hoseok, hands still playing in his hair as he shares a knowing look with Taehyung. For a while know, they had been talking about what they'd do when Hoseok eventually couldn't fight his pain anymore and ultimately, they never came to an agreement, so now they'd just have to wing it.
Taehyung moves to the window separating them from the driver, and he announces that they were ready to depart before he makes his way back to Hoseok's side caressing him as good as they could.
It took a while for Hoseok to stop sobbing and eventually he fell asleep, at least they had just assumed that he was sleeping since his breath had evened out so much.
Yoongi
I can't believe that man said that.
Yoongi hissed, very pïssed that Hoseok's grandfather would ever say something so disgusting especially while Hoseok was there.
Taehyung
I'm just sad that his family really has no respect for him, but it's more frustrating when he just lets it happen. He doesn't retaliate and it pïsses me off so much.
Taehyung voices as he plays in Hoseok hair, and he sees Yoongi opening his mouth to say something but he closes it when Hoseok speaks before he can.
Hoseok
If I say anything, they'll think worse of me than they already do.
He clarifies and he lifts himself off Yoongi's, settling against the seat with a serious, puffy face.
It shocks Taehyung a little, he hadn't known the older was awake, otherwise he would've kept his mouth shut. He doesn't want to argue with Hoseok right now. Not when he's hurting like this.
Taehyung
How are you feeling?
Taehyunh asks, changing the subject and his hand finds Hoseok's knee, offering support as he sees tears pool in the older's eyes again.
Hoseok
I don't know...I...
Yoongi
It's fine...just...say exactly what you're feeling.
Yoongi urges, and he moves closer to Hoseok who sighs, and his tears fall making him shake his head.
Hoseok
I just...after dad died I... I thought that I wouldn't be as much of a disappointment as I am but...
Taehyung opens his mouth to object about the whole "disappointment" statement but Yoongi shouts him a look telling him to let Hoseok finish, so he bites his lips and waits for Hoseok to finish.
Hoseok
...my family treats me worse now that he's gone. *sobs*
He sniffs a little, shaking his head almost as if he's trying to tell himself not to cry.
Hoseok
it's almost like they hate me.
He barely manages to let out and Yoongi shakes his head.
Yoongi
They don't hate you, Seok.
Hoseok
Then... why would he say all of that infront of so many people?
Hoseok
Why does the room go silent whenever I visit. Why is their a specific part of the mansion that I have to stay.
Hoseok
In their eyes I'm a mistake and as much as dad was an asshole, he never made me...made me feel like such an abomination.
Hoseok's fit of sobbing starts again and Taehyung just pulls him into his chest, rubbing his back soothingly and Hoseok feels small kisses on the back of his neck from Yoongi, and it calms him down a little.
He doesn't remember the last time they've had any kind of affection like this, mainoy because of him and the more he thinks about it, pushing them away was probably the worse thing he's done in the past 3 months and he's done a lot of shit.
Some times he wonders how they don't hate him, because he makes it so easy but somehow they always stick by him and are always the first two to help him stand when his own two feet betray him.
He's been failing to do so for a while now.
