Episode 5

"Master, your coffee," a maid's voice echoed in Alec's room, a maid who was rather looked like someone who should lead not follow but her fate had led her to different stages of life which were so less for her.

"Thanks, Reyes,"Alec said lifting his head partially out of a document, he hadn't talked to Sophie ever since she left to live her normal life, this somehow made him restless because she was the one he talked with every day.

Even though Alec was older than Sophie, she was chosen as the next heiress because his grandfather had instructed his father to make the next heiress a woman, the reason for this order was still a mystery but it was his grandfather's last wish so it had to be done.

But since Sophie left the house, his father declared Sophie as dead and decided to make Alec the next heir, even though it was a lot to take in for Alec but he didn't refuse his father.

"Please go to your room, master,"Reyes said to him, the woman who was audacious to love her own master even though she knew that some day he would be married off to a woman for political power but her love for him didn't got any less.

Alec was sitting in Sophie's room since he knew that if he would leave the room, his father's men would clear all the stuff which Sophie had left. Even though there weren't many things left by her, a bed, a dressing table with a long mirror along with the table on which Alec was currently sitting with some drawings and literature works kept on it.

These were the last things he had of her beautiful sister, he knew that he wouldn't be able to see her again he would be lost in the dark path of gangsters, he had to save those things, the last memories at least.

His father didn't even allow Alec to keep Sophie's one photo, he burnt them, he burnt his daughter's photos. His father had only ordered the guards to throw the left stuff but Alec sat there and didn't have them a chance to get inside.

"No, Reyes,"Alec glanced at Reyes, who, at that moment, had tearful eyes. She knew that how much Alec adored his sister, loved his sister and how had he hated his father to burn all her photos but.......

It was painful sight to the one she love in such horrible condition, just for some stuff. No. It wasn't just stuff, they were memories, profound and sweet memories. Auric Capone had told Reyes to convince Alec to come out of that bloody room but she knew that it was of no use, at all.

"Madame won't return,"she said, sitting over the table and sucking in her tears, ".....Master,"she continued, had nearly forgotten to add it.

"These things belong to Sophie. It is HER room, only she could throw her things not these dogs who live on my father's money and his name,"anger reflected in his eyes, usually he liked talking with Reyes but today after his father's instruction, all she talked about was moving him out of the room.

"I am sorry, Master but please.....,"she didn't complete it, just lowered her eyes, she knew that it annoyed him.

"I....am tired, please leave. I will rest in this room,"he got up from the chair, his legs feeling heavy, he had stayed in that room for a month now, he used to call for his things by Reyes.

"Yes, master,"Reyes left the room, she decided to not look back at her master because she knew that if she looked back she wouldn't be able to help herself for being his supporting shoulder.

Alec layed on the bed, old bedsheet was still covering the bed. No thoughts came into his mind, he just missed his sister, her smile, her voice, her every little thing but he wasn't able to speak to her, see her, talk to her.

His body wasn't tired, his mind was.

"Have ya eaten?,"Kenny asked Sophie.

"No, not yet,"Sophie replied without any hesitation, she suddenly had felt some kind of burden on her head, she didn't know what was that about.

"So, let me introduce you to the royal dinning area,"Kenny smiled, she noticed Sophie's face going dull, "Hey, what happened all of a sudden?,"she asked.

"I don't know....I just felt very...sad. It's just.....very...sad,"Sophie said, her eyes rather focused on the surrounding, not on Kenny.

"Hmm, I think it's because of.....Hunger! Lets go fast,"Kenny quickly rushed with Sophie, her hand held tight enough to not let Sophie go.

"Princess!,"a deep male voice came from behind, it was Captain Nourik, who was now dressed in full sleeved shirt, his tattoo now covered, making him less attractive than he was earlier with the tattoo, "please don't run in your precious gown, your highness,"he said.

Sophie loosened Kenny's grip, "Yes, yes. Captain Nourik, what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to see the General? Are you that audacious to not obey your princess and also object on me from running. It is my empire, it is up to me whether I run in gowns or something not so beautiful,"she said, looking like a princess, no, like a queen.

Derry took a long bow in front of her and said, "It was not what I meant, your majesty. Your protection is my main priority, I said that out of concern. Please forgive me and I was heading towards the General only but since her highness had objection with my clothes, I changed them. Please forgive me."

"Rise. I admire that you are very well in your job and obey my orders wisely but don't forget your place,"she acted to be arrogant.

"Please forgive me, your majesty,"he sat on the floor instead of rising in front of her. He was begging for forgiveness.

"Rise means rise. I don't like to repeat my commands,"Sophie said, she knew that it was really rude to talk like that but it was the image she had made of princesses. She hadn't read any sweet princess stories in which prince saves the princess. In her family and other gangster families, leader, whether man or woman is treated like an Empress or Emperor and they have to be rude and arrogant, even with their family.

"Forgive me, your highness. I am going to take a leave now",he passed away from Sophie.

"God! You were too rude,"Kenny said as they saw Derry leaving.

"Was I?",she smiled at Kenny because for her what she did just now indicated a perfect princess, "my parents expected me to transform into this only",she said, she didn't know why she said that, maybe she had started trusting Kenny.

"Well, mine too but you were really rude. Such a cute guy!,"Kenny smiled at Sophie, showing her adoration towards Derry's body.

"Fine, fine. I am hungry, let's go now?",she instead held Kenny's hand now.

"Of course",they both started walking towards the dinning area.

"Derry?.....Derry!!! Wake up! Derry!!!,"a male voice came into Derry's ears, he had been wasted, he drank too much alcohol.

"Did I got wasted? Woah, Max. It has been so long since I got wasted last time,"he said, tapping his hand on his head to get into the real world. His head was shaking everything around him.

"Now, I gotta go. Get in ya ride, go to ya home!,"Max said pushing Derry towards his car which was not parked very far away, it was 2 pm already. Derry was not completely over his drinks but it was not the first time he was going to drive in this situation.

"Where ya going?",Derry said stopping Max's push.

"Somewhere. You just head to home. Bye,"Max again put effort in his muscles because unlike Derry, he wasn't very tall and muscular.

"Okay....okay. I am leaving but just-", *Tring*, a notification made noise in between of his sentence, he took out his phone from the back pocket of his trouser and looked at the cause of sound.

*FAMOUS CEO OF THE MARTIAL COMPANY, MR. KAI TERREL ENCOUNTERED AN ACCIDENT AT THE YAWEN HIGHWAY. HE HAS BEEN ADMITTED AT APOLLO HOSPITAL 3 hours ago.

Suddenly a black screen appeared in front of Derry's eyes. What had happened all of a sudden? Why didn't anyone inform him? Why didn't Mr. Levard inform him? Was he not even worthy to know about his brother?

Derry was infamous for his impulsive and irresponsible behaviour and also for making gangster friends but he never expected that his own people would think of him that lowly.

"I need to leave, Max. Kai came across an accident, I need to go to hospital. I will inform you later all about it,"Derry quickly rushed inside his car, suddenly the air around them had changed.

Max said no words to him, he neither understood what Derry told nor what changed his mood so suddenly? So unusual, but he decided to keep that confusion unanswered since Derry seemed like something big has came up.

He had heard Derry saying that Kai met with an "accident" but to him there were many meanings of accident, what he wished for was that Kai didn't go through some of injury causing accident.

"Doctor, What's your report on Mr. Terrel?",Mr. Levard asked the doctor who was treating Kai. He observed doctor's body language, a face with disappointment, lips twitched, sweat coming near his ear from his partially bald head.

"Mr. Levard, patient is in a coma. Mr. Terrel had hit his head really hard, at first we weren't expecting it would lead to coma but unfortunately.......our presumption was wrong. He may wake up in days or months or perhaps years, I am sorry, Mr. Levard",doctor left the corridor.

Mr. Levard was someone who had seen Kai grow up, he served his father before Kai and cared for him from bottom of his heart but somehow hearing about Kai's condition didn't make him that sad.

Mr. Levard decided not to tell that to his second master even though he knew that he would know about it anyhow but he doesn't want to answer Derry, he doesn't know how he would answer him?

Kai's driver, who was with him in the car, was not found yet and there was no trace left behind. What if driver has made a deal with Capones? He had thought for a second but they wouldn't gain anything if Kai dies since their daughter wouldn't leave her internship then as well.

"Mr. Levard!,"Derry rushed inside the hospital and sensed the cold environment which was around, it gave him cold sweat but his spine felt like it was burning hot and furious,"Don't I even deserve to know about his accident?"

"Second Master, I apologize but I am afraid I don't have enough answers for you,"Mr. Levard said, seeming a bit distracted from what Derry had originally asked.

"What do you mean?",an instant response got out from Derry's lips.

"Master is declared to be in a coma and it can't be stated that till when his condition would be like that and also the driver who was with him is nowhere to be found, I assume it was a planned attempt to murder and also-,"he paused, his lips twitched,"You have to manage the company in place of him till Master is back."

"I think you have forgotten whom you are talking with, Mr. Levard. I and being a CEO? I maybe a part of the company but I am not him, Sorry to disappoint you but find some other replacement. Now, let me meet my brother."

Hearing that directly from Mr. Levard had gave him another harsh truth of the world that what people care about is the money. Was it real when Mr. Levard talked about Derry being a temporary CEO over how was Kai doing?

Derry knew that Mr. Levard cared for both of them but now, as he heard from him, seemed to him that all he cared was for the company because his voice didn't show any kind of sorrow.
