CHAPTER - 5 THE KISS

Hari – "its been a really long time since we went together!!"

"shall we ?mmh? mmh?"

Ja - "janet if you say okay this idiot will follow us"

"come on ya" he kept pestering

Jae – " I have a little work to be done " "may be summer vacation would do "

Hari – "then its fixed, it's a promise, you cant change it" with total excitement hari started screaming, with joyful expression on his face .

Katheeja – "yeah yeah he wont change" ja told in a instructive voice for which hari screamed again.

hari - "moooooom , jae is coming with us "

I was a little surprise hearing it , was it already planned to go on summer vacation. was i the one who is included in it now ?

Ja – "hey come on ya" "its been a long time since we hanged out together! I knew if I asked you, you wont come that why I had to take this route (Means begging my brother to trick you, into our plan of going together on this trip ) " She said and following which I sat and played with the rubes cube that i had in my hand.

After half an hour aunty brought fruits as dessert and I was very happy to have it.

Everything was my favorite, starting from the dinner that we had earlier till the dessert that we are having now, I wondered and started having them.

Suddenly light went off. Since I am a little scared without making noise I just used my hands to search for ja who was sitting and chatting with me all this while. (there must be a power cut)

She was no were found on the bed. ( i was scared)

I didn't want to trip and fall, so I tried calling out her name "ja?" in a low voice

That's when I saw a lighting coming from somewhere. (since there it was a light in the dark, i was unable to open my eyes fully)

It was ja *coming with a cake on her hand*singing happy birthday song.

I was surprised and speechless.

Hari started bursting sprinkles on my head. (everyone came inside the room)

The lights got switched on and aunty came running into katheeja's room

With full excitement she gave me the knife, to cut the cake

Nandhini -"hear jae, hold on to it" "make a wish and cut the cake "

I closed my eyes to make a wish *. Only a tear drop left my eye*

Without further delay I cut the cake and gave it to aunty and hari

Ja panicked and said "sorry nabi I know your scared of dark but hari only dragged me down, sorry I left you alone" looking at me teary

I felt like kissing her, Without any delay I just kissed her on her cheek and said

"thanks"

I know for sure my parents wont be remembering my birthday, after all they regret giving birth to me

But this family who is giving me so much of love and affection I don't know what I am gonna give them in return.

*I prayed for the family to be more happy in the following years*

I once again was wished for my birthday by all the three

Hari – "janet my mom has put on so much effort to make all these today according to your likings "

"she wanted you to have all your special things"

"this idiot here (his sister katheeja) flopped the plan"

"cant keep her hands and legs in a place"

Katheeja – "nabi, this summer trip is also made for you exclusively, so you better try not to escape"

For which I just nodded as a reply.

Days went by and we went to the trip as planned

It was a resort that aunty had booked.

I was a little exited for the trip since it was just me with the family I love.

I made sure I take extra cloths and swimsuit with me( since aunty told me it is a resort by the sea )

Early in the morning on the day of vacation.

"nabi" "naaaaabbbbiiii waaake upppppp"

I heard her whisper "hey hari I think he is still asleep what to do ?"

Hearing this I came to my balcony and stood. Looking at my messed up appearance she started laughing

"nabi you look soooo funnnnnnnnnnnny"

Ja –" get ready, mom prepared breakfast, dad went to take car"

"come fast , otherwise we'll be late because of youuuu" when she was about to complete her sentence I saw her mom pulling her ear

Nandhini- "not because of jae but because of you we'll be late kathee."

Ja – "okok mom I am going " she told with puppy eyes and her palm rubbing one another

I took bath and went to aunties home and rang the bell

"yeahhh coming" I heard her screaming her lungs out (as usual)

As soon as she opened the door she knocked on my head saying "how many times do I have to repeat myself?" "PLEASE DO OPEN THE DOOR ON YOUR OWN AND ENTER THE HOUSE"

I reacted with A "AHHH" By her sudden movement

Ja – "look mom, still he is making me open door for him" she started complaining on me to aunty

Hari – "yeah obviously maids are supposed to open door for prince" saying this he gave a sarcastic smile. And there they started fighting again.

Nandhini- "jae come on , sit in the dining table, lets have breakfast before we leave" I gave a simple nod and sat on my chair.

(yes I had a separate chair at their house for me, the dining table was a 5 sharing table)

It was a English breakfast with bread, toast, butter, jam, milk, orange juice, and fruit pieces (a piece of apple, orange and gova)

Everyone had to our stomach content and we got in the car that uncle had prepared for us.

After traveling for 8 hrs we reached the desired resort.

Uncle went to checked in the hotel to get a room

Uncle- "room for 2adult and 3 kids please !" "preferably a suite room with balcony facing the beach"

Front desk person – "give me a moment sir, i will check and let you know !! "

"sir are they your own kids ?" (uncle hesitated for a second)
