Chapter 1: Late Night Murder

'' Are you, are you coming to the tree? They strung up a man they say who murdered three. Strange things did happen here no stranger would it be. If we met at midnight in the hanging tree.

'' who’s there?!

I look around the gränd but I stand alone

'' Are you, are you coming to the tree? Where dead man called out for his love to flee.

Out through the darkness comes Lucifer. His hair and eyes shine a bright blue. His black, long, sharp fingers shine in the dark.

'' Strange things did happen here no stranger would it be. If we met at midnight In the hanging tree.

He stars to float over the ground. He flew right at me and struck his fingers in my stomach.

I woke up to my phone calling. I open my eyes and shut off the alarm. Hayden open his eyes to my movments, he stretches and sits up.

''Good morning.

I whave my hand and climb up from the bed. On my way I stub my toe on the dorrway and stumble on a cable outside the door and fall right on a flower pot. Hayden stood leaning against the doorway looking at me on the floor.

''What are you doing ?

''What do you think it looks like ? Ballet?

He goes to me and gives me a hand, helping me up from the floor.

''Good thing you have me as a brother otherwise you wouldnt make it a day here.

''You're the one to talk.

I grab the cable with my foot and drag it infront of Hayden so he falls down on all dirt on the floor.

''Okey I’m not gonna say anything next time.

He says crawling up from the floor and goes to get a broom and the trashcan from the kitchen.

''I’m cleaning, bring out the breakfast and I will fix it when I’m done.

Hayden gives me the broom and puts the trashcan on the floor and goes to the kitchen. I pick up the last dirt and notice the newspaper on the floor at the front door. I pick it up and go to Hayden in the kitchen.

''You need to lern how to make food. I can’t make the food all the time. How would you survive if I disappeared

''I cant learn, I’ll just burn it even if I tried not to. And there are sometimes called instant noodles

I take out the frying pan and begin frying the eggs. I put the eggs on the table and Hayden stuffs his mouth, moaning to the feeling.

''Why can you make such good food?

''Because I can.

I go to the window and light a cigarette

''Come on!? You’re smoking again!

''You dont have to worry about that.

I sit in the windowsill. Hayden takes the newspaper and starts reading.

''A murder last night. The police cant identify the body, the body is ******* torn apart! Lucifer, the nightclub owner suspected of the muder.

The police only suspect him murder after murder but doesnt do any thing

''Maybe they are afraid ?

''Haru, if they are to afraid they can call me.

''Why are you so mad at him?

''Hes's a serial killer, probably, and as the guardian of this damn world I dont want to just sit and do nothing like our beloved 'queen'

''Why did they even give a group teenagers the task to protect the rest of us.

''Because they propably cant take it themselves, you havent met Nora. You just need to know how much she doesn’t care about people.

''Shouldn’t she care a little bit at least.

''I think so too but it cant be helped that adults are the way they are.

Hayden puts down the newspaper on the table and looks at me.

''Go get ready, you coming with me.

''Me to school, that you can dream of.

He reaches for a piece of paper on the kitchen counter and tosses it to me.

''There you have the rules.

''Your kidding. Right?

''Sadly no. And remember you can’t call me Hyde at school.

''Well, it cant be that complicated.

Hayden stands up and goes to his closet. I take out the cigarette on my arm and toss it out in the trash can outside. Hayden comes around the corner to the hall

''You coming?

''Yeah, yeah, I’m coming.

I jump down from the windowsill and go to Hayden. He puts on his school uniform and I took a hoodie and a pair jeans.

''Right, you don’t have a uniform.

''And you’re thinking of that now?

''Forget it, just remember how strict this school is, don’t do something you’re gonna regret.

We put on our shoes and go towards the school

''Why did you put me in school for?

‘’Wasn’t me.

''Then who the ****?

''Our neighbour…

''Oh and she has so much to do with it?

''No, but you know how it is.

Hayden stops and does a little fake cough before saying…

''Yes my students it’s important that you get to learn how to behave in this society, and remember god is always watching over us all blah, blah, blah and blah. Our principal has said that every year to every student.

''And now she thinks she got a new student to rule over or?

''Yeah probably, she’s ******* worse than Nora.

- 5minutes later -

We stop in front of the school’s gates and look at each other

''Haru, welcome to hell.
