2. Undercover Beginnings

After a good 10 minutes the lady named Lara went inside his cabin within a second she came out of his room and said "Miss. Jones, Mr.Lark wants to see you". I nodded and went inside his room

I took a deep breath and for the third time I said "Good morning Mr.Lark I'm Samantha Jones you-" he cut me off

wtf I thought to myself but still replied while moving towards the door "Yes, sir" Then someone opened the door and bumped against each other I looked to see who was it resulted in me witnessing another heavenly handsome dude DANIELLE DERY.

I whispered to myself and quickly apologized to him "I'm sorry I didn't see you coming " the man immediately said with a smile " It's ok beautiful have a good day " Just then Keven from behind coldly said "You can leave now "

I came out of Mr.larks office and Ahh Danielle is so good unlike someone with some issues lol

KEVEN LARK

Danielle came into my cabin saying " Yo the luckiest man in the world, son of a gun " I didn't pay any attention to what he said and continued my work then he again said, "I'm really happy that you are okay Ven ".

he was worried to death I could feel that in his voice though he always plays around he is my best friend, cousin, and mostly the only person I can rely on "Did you look into the incident?" I questioned to which he nodded "Have you found who is behind it.? "I again questioned

" Not yet Ven but don't worry Danel got you covered rest assured " he gave me a creepy smile and continued saying "Bro Are you really okay on your own? I can have someone by hand to treat you and take care of you "

"What am I Daney a kid.?, I can definitely take care of myself," I said pissed off

"Woahh chill dude I just want you to get better quickly," he said

"I know but you know I do not like many people around me and I already got an assistant," I said which made his eyes wide open then he said, "You got yourself an assistant, Keven.? And who is that ..?"

"Not me My mom did you know her don't you ?" I expressed "Did Aunty hire you a caretaker lol..? who is she btw.?" he asked again "The one you bumped into earlier" I answered

"Ahh that beautiful lady from earlier umm what is her name," he asked showing his teeth "Ummm I don't quite remembe- oh yeah Samantha Jones," I said

"Did you talk to your mom about not having her right? "

"yup " I replied, "what did she say ?" he again questioned I sighed and

I called my mom and yelled "MOM is that true"

"Mrs Lark: Son what is true .?"

"Keven: come on mom "

"Mrs Lark: son you see I can't come right now" I made seriously ?? face She again spoke, "Son you there .?" this time I said in a serious tone "Mom I can take care of myself I don't need someone around me "

"No you do honey," she said calmly

"ok Daney is here with me right," I said. Then she let out a laugh and said "Let that idiot take care of himself first" She again continued "Honey you are my only hope I can't let anything happen to you " I sighed and continued saying "Okay but she'll be here only on one condition"

"Ahh Keven I know you, sweetie, she will never interfere in your stuff " I hmmed in response and she said "Okay now bye honey don't overwork remember you just got discharged"

END OF FLASHBACK

"That's what happened," I told Daney with my hand slightly rubbing my head

after I got out of the office the middle-aged woman from the start came to me and explained to me the rules and regulations of the company\, at last\, she said "Okay Miss. Jones welcome to Lark Industries you may start tomorrow " With that she saw me off there. I came out of the building and started going home ___

"Ohh you're back already,.?" she said I nodded like a kid to which she gave me a warm hug and said "The food is almost ready"
