Chapter 4

They threw me into a dirty cell , my body skidding a little across the cement flooring . T hen one man walked in and put my hand in silver cuffs before saying something to his partner . I didn't bother trying to ask which territory I was in , I was too tired to care at this point .

After a few hours of wallowing in self - pity , a door slammed somewhere as a man's voice sounded asking who the new rogue was . I sighed and closed my eyes , knowing I was most likely going to be interrogated until I gave them what they wanted . When I heard someone unlock the door to my cell , I opened my eyes .

I looked up to see a rather tall and handsome man standing before me , his form screaming power as he stared down at me . Without a word , he brutally grabbed me by my shoulders , forcing me to stand . I cried out as a searing pain shot through me , causing my battered body to fall to the ground . He rolled his eyes and went to grab me again , but I managed to hold up my hand .

"Don't ! " I cried out . " please , it'll only hurt more ."

" And ? " he demanded , dragging me to my feet again .

I placed my good hand on the wall as I held myself up this time , trying my hardest to ignore the misery I was in . I took a deep breath looking at him , my eyes widening as that familiar feeling rushed through me . I could feel my bond with Andrew break , ripping apart as a new one was formed .

No ... no ... I can't have a second mate . He'll only reject me .

He narrowed his eyes , '' Why would fate give a rouge as a mate ? What's your name ? "

I licked my lips as I regained my voice , '' Raya Blood . "

He was silent for a moment as he studied me , seemingly in a trace . A small flame of heart , but quickly extinguished it . I already knew what he was planning on doing , the amount of disgust he had in his toon when he mentioned me being a rogue was proof enough .

" I ,Hades Viseyrs , reject you Raya Blood , as my mate and luna , " he said softly sounding as if he were almost in pain .

I tore my ayes away from him , suddenly feeling a burst of anger course through my veins . I'm not just an object to be shoved out of the way , useless ; I'm living being too . tilting my head up , I stared him straight in the eyes . " I don't accept your rejection , " I spat

He stared at me in stunned silence for a moment before nodding slowly , " That your choice . I was trying to spare you some pain . You see , little one , I'm already engaged to someone so broken as my luna , you wouldn't be strong enough to guide my pack . But if you want to suffer , so be it .

With those lovely parting words , he turned and left me in my cell to rot . I laughed to myself , going insane as I enjoyed the irony . If only he knew the pain I had suffered in the past , then he wouldn't be so confident that his words words would scare me .
