chapter 3

I slowly opened my eyes as the sun filtered through my curtainless window , shining almost directly into my eyes .Groaning , I stretched my stiff muscles , relieved to feel a less achy today . I know it'll be short lived , but it's blessing to just have a few hours without a bruise making itself known .

Per usual , I made the pack breakfast and cleaned the house ,preparing for the day ahead me .I was shoved aside a few times as pack member walked past , their sneers snapping at my eardrums as they attempted to get under my skin . I acted as if I didn't see them , throwing out some fake apology as i scooted past them to continue my chores .

I wiped my face with a cool cloth as I grew lightheaded again , My body struggling to continued without much food , If any . taking a deep breath , I got up to go and rest for a bit , hoping my father would have at least an ounce of understanding in his body . When I reached my room , Andrew scent immediately harassed me , almost making me sick at the this point . I yelped when my door was slammed shut , revealing a dark - eyed Andrew .

"I need to feel you , just once ..... to experience what a bond does , " he whispered , grabbing me roughly by the jaw .

I tried shoving him off as he slammed his lips onto main , causing sparks to explode between us . I let out slight whimper , desperate to escape his grasp . He growled softly , growing irritated to pull my pants down . Despair getting the best of me , I plunged my teeth into his bottom lip , drawing blood as he screamed . He touched his lips and stared at the dripping blood glaring at me .

" You'll pay for that , ***** , " He spat

My eyes widened as he lunged toward me , his hand wrapping around my throat . I clawed at him , but nothing would loosen his grip as he ripped my shirt .

" What the hell ! ?"

We both froze and snapped our gazes to door . There stood his fiance with black eyes . Andrew quickly ran over to her to him . He glared at me , " This psycho was trying to kiss me ." He snarled .

I gape at him ," You -- "

She stared at him in disbelief ,"From my standpoint , you were the one on the top ..... "

I stood there as Andrew swallowed nervously , trying to form words as his fiance continued questioning him . He quickly silenced her , " I know what it looked like , sweetheart , but I'm going to make sure her father knows of this , okey ? "

She seemed unsure , but nodded , not knowing what to say . Fear enveloped me through as his words reached my ears . I could feel my heart drop at the thought of my father beating me . As soon as they were gone , I panicked and started throwing random into bags , attempting to have a little something to change into on my journey . I could hear their footstep storming down the hall , My father's angry voice mixing with Andrew's and my sister's whiney voice .With my heart in my throat , I grabbed my bag and sprinted toward my window .

" Raya ! " My father snarled shoving my door wide open

I didn't stop to open the window , not wanting to give him more time to catch me . As his fingertips brushed against my ankles , I crashed through the glass and fell towards the ground below . I landed on the ground with a sickening crack as my body took full impact , the pain immediately making itself known . Taking a deep , struggling breath , I pulled myself up and took off towards the forest . I wanted to scream as each step sent a jolt of agony through me , but I managed to push through it .Glancing behind me , I shrieked a little when I saw the patrols gaining on me , their wolves looking anything but nice . I pushed myself harder as I felt the bond between me and pack break . I gasped and stumbled to the ground from the sudden force of it .

" Raya !"

Looking up , I saw my father stop just before the border ended , his eyes burning with rage . swallowing my fear , I forced myself up again and took off , running deep into woods . I had no idea what territory I was in , but even if I was capture , anything would be better than this suffering at my own father's hands .

A few miles in my body collapsed as I fell down a small hill rolling into a clearing .Groaning I scanned the area around me , trying to figure out who's territory I was in sniffing the air , I slowly began to recognizing the scent , but I couldn't put a name to it . Laying my head on the ground , I closed my eyes as a wave of nausea washed over me , willing myself not to through up before realizing I had nothing in my stomach to puke anyway . Releasing a breath , I attempted to move to a sitting position , but my spine wouldn't allow it .

"What do we have here "

I couldn't even look up since my spine was broken and currently healing as well . I sighed , " An idiotic girl who decided to jump out of a window . "

" Funny . "

" Why isn't she running ? " someone asked .

" Get up , " The same voice from before ordered.

I sighed once again , What part of 'I jumped out of a window ' Don't you understand ? "

" I understand you jumped out a window , but that doesn't explain ----

" My bones are broken, you idiot ." I snapped , cutting him off . "Including some part of my spine . It's a miracle I'm not paralyzed . "

I could hear someone laugh, " You totally had that coming . "

" Whatever . Someone pick the ***** up and and bring her to the dungeons , " The man hissed before his footsteps got quieter as he walked away.

I kept in cry of pain as someone picked me up , jostling me around a bit . As they carried me , I figured I could study the territory . I pursed my lips and scanned the area that I could see from my position .

" lovely territory , " I stated .

I'm officially an idiot .
