Huh.. Who is that Child...?

Lan Zhan was in Yumeng as he had accidently gotten lost from Lan Xichen, his older brother. Suddenly, he came across a small child shivering in fright as multiple dogs had surrounded him. Lan Zhan quickly shoos the dogs away as he immediately runs to the child who is none other than Wei Ying.

"Hey.. are you okay?" Lan Zhan asks the child worriedly as the child looks up at him as Lan Zhan immediately sees lovely silver eyes that he felt like he would get lost in.

"Y-yes.. t-thank you for helping me..." the child says as he was still scared.

"What is your name? I am Lan Zhan, courtesy: Wangji." Lan Zhan introduces himself to the small and frighten child.

"W-Wei Ying.. my courtesy is Wuxian.." The child introduces himself as Wei Ying, which made Lan Zhan smile internally.

"What are you doing out here, Wei Ying?" Lan Zhan asks Wei Ying worriedly.

"I-i.. don't have a home..." Wei Ying mumbles as he teared up.

This broke Lan Zhan’s heart as he wrapped his arms around the crying child, holding onto him, comforting him.

Wei Ying held on Lan Zhan as he cried his eyes out.

Lan Zhan kept holding Wei Ying until he had calmed down as he wiped his tears away. "Hey.. it's okay... you can stay with me in Gusu..." Lan Zhan said, trying to comfort Wei Ying, who had stopped crying.

"R-really?" Wei Ying ask as he wipes his tears away.

"Mn. Come on!" Lan Zhan says as he helps Wei Ying stand up as he sees how ragged Wei Ying's clothes are if they were even called clothes as they were only rags. Lan Zhan takes his Gusu cloak off, wrapping it around Wei Ying. Lan Zhan took a mental picture of how cute Wei Ying looked in his robe with his cute Fox ears sticking up while his tails wagged side to side slightly.

"Lan Zhan.. are you here alone?" Wei Ying asks as he looks up at Lan Zhan with stars in his eyes.

"No. I came with my brother but.. I seemed to have lost him.." Lan Zhan replies as Wei Ying looks at him.

"Do you have anything that belongs to your brother, Lan Zhan?" Wei Ying asks as Lan Zha. nods before handing him a small piece of cloth(a handkerchief) that belonged to Lan Xichen. Wei Ying took the piece of cloth before sniffing it as he caught a lead. "Come on, Lan Zhan! I can smell him!" Wei Ying says as he grabs Lan Zhan’s hand, dragging him with him as he leads Lan Zhan to a man who looked exactly like Lan Zhan.

"Gege!" Lan Zhan quickly runs over to Lan Xichen as he hugs him tightly.

"Wangji! Where were you?! Do you know how worried I was?!" Lan Xichen says worriedly as he hugs Lan Zhan back. "Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" Lan Xichen asks worriedly as he looks at Lan Zhan.

"No, Gege.. I am fine, " Lan Zhan replies as Wei Ying felt like he was going to cry as he never received any love like this from anyone. "Gege.. I made a friend.." Lan Zhan says as he points at Wei Ying, who was fidgeting with his hair as he looked nervous.

"Hello there, little one.." Lan Xichen crouches down in front of Wei Ying, who backed away slightly. "Hey, I won't hurt you.. trust me, I won't.." Lan Xichen says as he slowly wraps his arms around Wei Ying, hugging him. "Wangji, why is he wearing your cloak?" Lan Xichen asks Lan Zhan, who was watching him with envy.

"His clothes are..." Lan Zhan looks at Lan Xichen, who looks at Wei Ying, who had ended up falling asleep in his arms from how tired he was after not having slept for 4 days straight.

"Come on.. let's bring him back to Gusu." Lan Xichen says as he gently picks Wei Ying up in his arms, going back to Gusu with Lan Zhan right beside him.
