Chapter 4

Evie was all smiles as she walked into her house and as Susie saw her face, her own face immediately became dark. When Evie saw that her family, except her mum and Susie, were in the living room, she smiled at them.

"Good afternoon dad, James, Joy. How are you all?" She greeted.

" Well I know that I'm good. Thanks for asking." Susie said sarcastically with squinted eyes as she walked out if the kitchen and towards a couch in the living room.

"Fine thank you." The twins said simultaneously.

"I'm good honey. How was school?" Gorge asked.

"Oh! Please don't ask her that! From the look on her face you can already tell that she had a hell-of-a great day, as always. I'm sure as hell not ready to listen to jer oh-so-wonderful day." Susie half shouted rolling her eyes and standing in her signature position, leaning against the wall right next to the couch she was walking to earlier with her arms crossed on her chest and legs crossed as well.

Evie only giggled. she was in too much of a good mood to bother getting annoyed by that rude remark. "School was fantastic!" She then said.

"See?!" Susie said rolling her eyes again.

" If you keep rolling your eyes like that, they may fall out of their socket." Evie giggle and so did the rest of her family when they heard that comment. "If you don't want to hear the then go to your room. It's that simple. But don't worry, I'm not saying anythimg more." Evie then remarked.

"Thank you!" Susie half shouted.

Gorge just chuckled at the cat and mouse display his daughters were putting on. He really did like it this way. He knew Evie was going to have to leave soon but he hopes that it won't be too soon.

"Well, I'm going to my room to change and chillax a little. I'll be down in a bit to prepare dinner." Evie said turning to face Gorge

"Ok honey." He replied.

***At Chris's House***

Chris and Caleb walked to their own house because they felt like it even if Caleb could just have teleported them. They had just settled down when a man suddenly appeared in the room. They looked like they were already expecting the visit if this man.

"My Lord." The man, bowing on one knee, said to Chris. "Lord Dominic," he said acknowledging the other man in the room and Caleb nodded at him. After that he stood up.

"Yes, Hollis. What do you want?" Chris said with an authoritative voice.

"That girl you met my Lord......." Hollis started.

"Yes I felt it. I think, actually, I believe she's the one." Chris said his face expressionless.

"I felt it too. It has to be her. We'll watch her to see if she gives any form of reaction." Caleb stated his aura, that of a majestic being.

"Yes, we'll do that. For now Hollis, get the special force to be ready for her arrival. Even if it takes several decades, I am certain Lady Iris would return this century."

"Yes my Lord." Hollis bowed from his waist.

"One more thing," Caleb said to Hollis before he could teleport back. "Keep calling us by our fake human names until we tell you otherwise."

"Yes Lord Caleb." Hollis said and finally disappeared. Caleb smiled at the fact that he didn't make the mistake of calling him his real name again like some people would.

Chris could be seen thinking seriously at the corner of the living room he liked sitting the most, on the small couch that was reserved for only him.

"Evie probably doesn't have an interest in our races judging by her character." Caleb said walking towards Chris.

"She's very intelligent, I'm pretty sure she knows a little about us. You know humans have a lot of different novels and stories about our races." He said.

Chris sighed then said what he had in mind. "We'll have to let her know in time, slowly. I'm sure she can figure it out herself pretty quickly.

***Evie's House***

"Hahhhhhhhh! It feels so good to be clean and in comfy clothes." Evie said crashing on her bed. She picked up her phone and saw the time and thought, *I have to go prepare dinner now before they starve.* She sighed. She didn't feel like standing up anymore but hey, she did anyway.

***30 minutes later***

"Dinner's ready!" Evie shouted from the kitchen.

Joy and James who had been in the living room watching cartoons immediately ran over to the dinning table.

"That was fast." Gorge said walking out of his study which was the door on the left beside the staircase leading yo the first floor.

"All I had to do was warm up the left overs from this morning." Evie said as she was taking the food to the dinning table. Then she started wondering where her mum was because it wasn't normal for her to be home so late. It was already 6pm.

"I wonder what mum is." She then said.

George's expression turned to a shocked one when he realized what she was talking about but it went back to normal before anyone could notice it. " She called not to long ago that she may take a while. I guess she should be on her way now." He managed to say.

As he said that, Myra's car pulled up in front of the house.

"Speaking of the devil..." Susie said before she put a spoon full of food in her mouth.

Evie walked towards the door to help her mum carry her stuff inside when she frowned at a small bandage on Myra's left cheek but decided not to say anything about it.

"Welcome mum." She said instead. "What took you so long?"

"Evening honey. I had an emergency I needed to deal with at the hospital." she answered. " Evening guys she then said to everyone else.

"Welcome hun. Let me guess, you are hungry." Gorge said to Myra.

"Starved! And I see you've prepared dinner. Give me a moment to freshen up and I'll be with you guys." Myra said then dashed to her room she really was hungry. The mission she went on today took almost all the energy she had. She had been fighting almost all day. *Well, damn those rogues.* She thought as she stepped into the shower.

It didn't take up to fifteen minutes before Myra was walking towards the dinning table.

"Look mummy's coming already." James said.

"Looks like she really is hungry." Gorge chuckled.

Without further ado, they all dug in when Myra sat at the table.

They were taking turns telling each other how their day went while eating happily when suddenly, Evie started shivering violently. The whole family was immediately alarmed and shocked but acted quickly. Gorge and Myra were by her side in no time.
