Episode 19

“Hey, what if after school you both come over to my place, and we'll crack that dream open together,” said Mia.

“Oh yeah, definitely, I agree,” replied Dara, with Mia nodding in agreement.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Via was plotting something.

While gathered in the school cafeteria with her friends, Erin, Siska, Indra, and Roy.

“I'm convinced Kevin's death is linked to Julia's,” Via stated.

“Don't start accusing people without basis, dear,” Roy chided.

“How about this—if you don't believe me, after school let's play Ouija, ask Julia’s spirit if she was the one who killed our friends?” Via suggested, inviting her friends.

“I don't want to participate in that kind of game; besides, I don't believe in such things,” Roy said, dismissing Via's plan.

“If you don't believe, Roy, why not try it?” Via challenged.

“I don't want to partake in such foolish games,” Roy retorted, leaving them all behind.

“Dara, isn't that game dangerous?” inquired Erin, who was feeling scared.

“Don't you want to know why Kevin took his own life?” Via asked.

“Y-yes, I want to know; Kevin wouldn't do something like that in my view,” Erin responded.

“Then follow along, after school we'll go to the changing room where Julia ended her life—I have prepared everything last night,” Via assured.

The trio was speechless at Via's radical idea.

Yet Erin, Siska, and Indra were immensely curious about their three friends' deaths.

“So? Are you three in?” Via pressed.

“Y-yes, we are,” Erin and Siska replied.

“And you, Indra? Are you in?” Via asked.

“Fine, I'm in if Siska's going,” declared Indra, his face betraying his fear.

“Okay, great, don't head home right after school; we'll meet in the changing room,” Via instructed.

They had all agreed to play the game after school in the changing room where Julia had taken her life.

Hours later, the school bell rang again, indicating that lessons were done and students could head home.

Except for Via, Siska, Erin, and Indra, who waited for the school to empty out.

They were occasionally noticed by their peers.

“Aren’t you four going home?” a classmate inquired.

“We're waiting for something,” Via replied.

“All right, I’ll head out first,” said the student.

Minutes later, the school seemed deserted, and Via and her friends made their way to the changing room.

Upon arrival, Dara had prepared all the equipment: a piece of cardboard cut into a spirit board with the alphabet letters written on it and the words YES and NO in the top-right and top-left corners, respectively, and then Via produced a homemade Ouija planchette.

The four of them sat on the floor in a circle, directly in front of the forever locked changing room, each of them holding the Ouija planchette together.

“Let's chant the incantation together,” Via initiated.

“But is this really okay, Via?” asked Erin, her fear apparent.

“Just trust me,” Via reassured her friends confidently.

Via began reciting the sacred Ouija incantation that supposedly summons spirits.

“Ouija, spirit come to this place, we hold a small gathering, come and be fetched, return from...” Via led the chant, with the others joining in sync.

They recited the Ouija chant, but nothing happened.

“Via, why isn’t the planchette moving?” Siska questioned.

“Maybe we need to repeat it a few times?” Via guessed.

They recited the incantation three more times before the planchette they all held together started to vibrate, followed by a breeze in the changing room.

Erin, who was scared, tried to release her grip.

“Don't anyone let go of the Ouija planchette,” Via warned, noticing Erin loosening her hold.

Via began to question the spirit that had entered the makeshift Ouija planchette.

“Are you the spirit of Julia?” Via inquired of it.

“YES,” the planchette moved towards the word YES.

“Did you kill Dina, Julia?” Via pressed seriously.

“YES,” the planchette replied again.

“Were you also responsible for Edo and Kevin’s deaths?” Via asked, her enthusiasm growing.

“YES,” the planchette moved once more, confirming her question.

Their faces were etched with fear.

“Why did you kill them, Julia? What have they done to you?” Indra tried to ask.

The planchette began moving across the alphabet letters.

“R-E-V-E-N-G-E.”

“Revenge!” exclaimed Via.

“Via, I don’t want to play anymore?” Erin protested in panic.

“We have to finish the game,” Via insisted.

But then, the planchette started moving through the alphabet as if it had something to convey.

“Y-O-U W-I-L-L D-I-E.”

Via and the others spelled out each letter and read aloud.

“YOU WILL DIE,” Via blurted out, abruptly releasing the planchette.

They all let go and ran out of the changing room.

“Let's go home, Via?” urged Erin.

“Yeah, Via, it's all your fault; what if the spirit of Julia haunts us now?” Indra complained, fuming at Via's idea.

“Enough, let's not blame anyone; we should just leave this school and go home,” Via suggested.

They all departed, leaving the school behind to return to their respective homes.
