My Life Is Not That Tough

Jasmine replied with a sad and down face," Mom......."

"Hmmm?" mother was still angry.

"Right now I am very tired. Plz, let me shower and sleep."

Mom suddenly realized that she was nagging too much and Jasmine was no longer a school girl.

"Ok, My Jan! You must be very tired I forgot. Just go to your room and rest. I will bring your lunch there."

"Hmmm..." Jasmine entered her room and fell on the bed.

"Thank God! Mom let me off this time."

"But your pocket money for this week will be deducted." Mom's voice came to her head like a siren of emergency. It felt like a volcano exploded near.

It was the second time in college that her mother was gonna deduct her pocket money.

"First time it was also because of Jaffar." She remembered.

But I have no strength to fight with Mom now. Let's deal with it when Dad wakes up.

In the evening........

The beautiful voice of Azan can be heard clearly. Jasmine was tossing on the bed because it was time to say prayers. Her mind after hearing the Azan was trying to wake her up and she knew her mother will be coming soon. Jasmine didn't come down so her mother came to wake her up. Afterwards, the mother went to say prayers. Jasmine went to the bathroom and after that, she went to pray to Allah Almighty. She was happy that she can say prayers today because during menstruation every month she can't say prayers or touch the Holy Quran.

After saying prayers, Jasmine went to the living room. Now she remembered that her mother is gonna deduct her pocket money. So she has to appeal to her father about this matter. She couldn't bear to lose this money because her friend's birthday was coming. And next month was Jaffar's birthday, so she has to prepare something. Although they were not on good terms still they were neighbours.

As adults, although their birthday parties were not grand there must be cake or some sweet dish and a spicy dish like mostly Biryani or Spaghetti with cold drinks or juices. Only a few neighbours and close friends were invited depending on the status of the family.

Many people may think that Muslims don't celebrate anything but they don't know that Muslims celebrate their religious occasions very excitedly. Like Eid; Eid-ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Fitr are especially celebrated very passionately.

People whether rich or poor enjoy these Holy occasion. During the celebrations, poor and needy people are given Zakat which is money given by common people according to their financial conditions. Like rich people will give more Zakat than middle-class people. And during the three days of Eid-ul-Azha, there are portions of meat from animals that are going to be sacrificed as thanks to Allah Almighty. Among these portions, there is a portion of needy people, neighbours and relatives. All those young people who are financially independent should buy their animals on Eid.
