CHAPTER 10 – WANT TO KNOW

Koutarou walked with his son to the parking lot, and inside the car his son asks him about that again, so he explained to his son.

Koutarou : “It’s about how you respect other people. When you meet someone he or she whom it much older then you, you must respect them”

“For example, when you meet your friend parents you cannot just call them with their name but you must call them with Mr or Mrs”

Rintarou : (Still confused) “I know that but what happened with Mr. Shinji up there?”

Koutarou : (Smile) “Oh, there’s I want him to call me by my name and he don’t want to, so therefore I insist he must call me by my name without mentioning master and finally he called me by my name”

Rintarou : (More confused) “But Daddy you said before, we must respect who was much older then me, but you want Mr. Shinji call you by your name? isn't Daddy much older than Mr. Shinji?”

Koutarou : (Smile) “That’s because I love him”

Rintarou : (Still confused) “Then if I love someone much older than me so I can call them just by name. So I call you Kou and not Daddy”

Koutarou : (Laughing) “Ha..ha..ha..not like that Rin, I love my parents and I call them Dad and Mom also your Uncle Katsuoki, I call him Aniki. Why I call them like that? because I respect the oldest"

“But if you have a partner, then it will be more familiar when calling each other by name”

Rintarou : (Nodded) “I understand now, okey I call you Daddy, Daddy”

Koutarou : (Laugh) “That’s my boy”

When they’re at home and after finished dinner, Koutarou talk to his son.

Koutarou : “Rin, what do you think about Shinji?”

Rintarou : “I think Mr. Shinji is nice, he so gentle and he’s beautiful, it's my first time meeting someone like him”

Koutarou : “Yeah, I think like that too”

When his son not talking, he saw his son's mind as if he were floating. “Rin what are you thinking?”

Rintarou : (Gasped) “Ahh...you scared me Daddy”

Koutarou : “What are you thinking about?”

Rintarou : “You know Daddy, I like Mr. Shinji and I really want him to be my mommy”

Koutarou : (Happy) “Rin, you really think so? you want Shinji become your mommy and lived in here with us?"

Rintarou : (Nodded) “Ehn...”

Koutarou : "First of all Shinji and I must get married then he becomes your mother and lives here together, but you must help me, okey Rin”

Rintarou : (Enthusiastic) “Okey Daddy, I will help and tomorrow I’ll ask Mr. Shinji”

Koutarou : (Laugh) “Not so fast Rin, but keep it as secret, okey...this is a secret just only between us”

Hearing his father talk like that made him feel he was on a mission and suddenly he acted like a policeman in a cartoon that he often watched, he spoke to his father with his hands covering part of his mouth.

Rintarou : (Whispered) “I understand Daddy, don’t worry I’ll help you and make him live with us”

Koutarou : (Smile & also whispered)

“I’m counting on you, Mr. Detective”
