"Blake! you're leaving again?" Blake paused on his steps and turned back slowly,"why aren't you sleeping?"

"you're leaving again aren't you?!" Maddie said disheartened.

"Madison, go back to bed. I'll tell you when I come back. I'll explain everything." "No! can you just...tell me the truth. And let me know what's going on!!". Blake pressed on his temple and clutched his work bag tightly,"forget it,.. forget all these, okay? I can't tell you anything...not right now." Maddie grabbed his sleeves with her hands and forced him to look at her in the eyes. "Blake please, we're married, a...and you can tell me anything you know. Just please talk to me", her eyes looked hopeful and her hands tightly gripped him. but Blake quickly turned his eyes away desolately and muttered."I can't ".

"liar...!"

"look at me... Blake!!! look at me!" Maddie forced him to face her once again, " the kids, what about our kids? what about me? You're leaving them, and me, and our love?" I'll be ba..." Blake tried to free his clothes.

"no!"she yelled weakly, the drug was acting slowly so she bit her lip to keep herself awake,"you can't leave me ...can't leave us!", Maddie looked so flustered.

She let go of his cloth and hugged her frail self while falling to the ground. "I..I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Blake if I've done anything wrong. Then I apologize but... but you...please don't go." She sobbed bitterly. Blake tried to pull her up to comfort her, but she pushed him away weakly. " it's all because of Avery, isn't it? you're abandoning the kids and I because... because you've fallen out of love for me, right? how could you do this to me?"

Maddie held her head wanting to scream but Blake grabbed her shoulders and kissed her hard. 'i will always love you and I will be back to you...and the kids, I promise, you hear me? don't you ever forget me! I love you Maddie!' kissed her for the last time that moment and quickly walked away.

' Blake don't! I need you, honey please come back'. she tried to run after him but the lethargic drug had started taking effect on her. she lay weakly watching as Blake walked out of her life and the children's.

Madison's eyes ran over the picture book in a trance. 'mother!', she snapped out of her trance and turned back to see Kelandra walking over with a worried face. 'mother, are you okay? what happened?' Kelandra asked.

It was then that Maddie noticed the shattered glass on the floor beside her and the already spilled wine mixed with some drops of blood on the floor.

Tears welled up in her eyes. Kelandra rushed over and gave her a bear hug,'mother, please don't cry, I'll get the kits, okay?' she went to the kitchen and took out a first-aid kit,' you'll be fine'.she comforted Maddie as she carefully cleaned up her mother's bleeding hand and bandaged it. Maddie stared at her. "I'm sorry Kelly, I may not have been a good mother to you as I should", her body shook uncontrollably. "it's alright mother,"Kelandra smiled"I may not have had the best childhood as you always say and I can't recall anything from the past,but I know that you are....the best mother."

Maddie forced out a smile, "and I do not regret having you Kelly as my daughter". "mm..that's right". Kelandra held Maddie and supported her upstairs to her bedroom. "I will turn on the heater so that you don't catch a cold", Kelly said while tucking her mother in, "try to sleep", she said and left the room. Maddie let out a deep sigh after Kelandra had left the room, she clenched her injured hand on the bed tightly,"Blake, where d'heck are you and how long do you want me to wait?"

Kyle walked in the middle of the hallway towards her besties Mira and Clara. The bodyguard behind her handed her school bag over to Clara and left.

"oh Kyle....you look really beautiful today! " she chimed in as well. Kyle's lips curled up in an arc smugly, "of course, I always look beautiful". Mira smiled at Kyle with a quick 'hi' before turning her attention back to her nail which she was filing. Kyle, didn't mind it. The three girls grabbed their books from their lockers and went to class together. Some other students were already seated in groups conversing in low tones, some others were murmuring amongst themselves. Kyle strode to her seat at the last row and sat down. Clara and Mira too, were about to settle down when a conspicuous, and bright red boot landed on top of Kyle's desk. It was followed by a black trouser, black tank top and a fair figure with long yellow hairdo mixed with red strands and a black face cap on top. She was Kyle's fiend, Nina Spartan and beside her was a girl wearing a blue baggy sweater, a black trouser and a cute blue headband on her black shoulder length hair, Storm. Storm was Nina's best friend and her closest friend.

"Wow Kyle!! you look so ...colourful today" Nina commented sincerely. "tsh....peacock!!!" Clara mocked back.

"hi Nina, can't really say the same for you ", Kyle said smiling and soon electric sparks went back and forth between the two rivals. They both engaged in a staring contest. Not long after, Nina backed off with an eye roll and laughed softly, " by the way, where's your hot ex boyfriend. I only got back from Spain yesterday and I haven't seen that hotshot for weeks. Mind telling me?"

" non of your business." Kyle said defensively"why should I tell you?" Nina laughed for a while," because.....", drawing close to Kyle's ear she whispered to irk her,

".....I.....wanna....hook up with him. what do you think?"

"you..." Kyle burst out angrily.

"what? you already have Darrell to yourself so I can go for Tyler, can't I?" she said directly making herself comfy on Kyle's desk,"besides Tyler doesn't even like you". Her word caught Kyle off guard.

Suddenly, Mira chuckled,"you mean...he likes you?" Nina frowned at the mocking word refusing to back down," well, he might, someday." she sighed dramatically and hopped down from the desk. "by the way, the real business...... sweet Kyle,"she smirked up to no good," we ...have a newbie*laugh". " I heard she's really really pretty. you girls can check the school blog, you'll be dumbfounded" she smirked at Kyle mocking her before walking out of class with storm.

"hmph..what a looser, how dare she show up today," Clara snickered unhappily.

"Oh goodness, check this out girls!!!" Mira called out suddenly. "check what?, where??" "the school blog dummy!"

soon words like"O.M.G!","so cute!"

"woah! is she the new transfer student?"

"is she the new goddess?", we're whispered at several corners of the school. Kyle, who wasn't so interested soon got distracted especially when Clara shoved the phone to her face complaining bitterly with a scared look." look Kyle, she's not even here yet and she's already competing with you. she must be a ****!"

Kyle looked at the stunning pair of eyes and good-looking face on the phone screen and her lips curved into a pretty smile.

"the new girl........ interesting".
