Chapter 2

It was finally Rain's birthday and the whole family was busy in getting ready to go to Egypt.

Her father hummed a tune, while fixing his trip cap and summer pants, along with his DSLR camera, while her mother was busy putting her earrings and making her hairs.

The family was extra happy because Rain's elder brother and her sister's twin was joining them too. He is a business tycoon and most of the time busy outside.

Rain's sister Julian wore her high-heeled boots and got ready first.

" Come on everyone, time to go"

Her parents came out with their own suitcases and Rain joined them shortly.

" Juvian will meet us at the airport" she announced and everyone nodded.

" Then let's gooo" her mother said excitedly.

The three got on their limo, which drove them to the airport. They will go to Egypt by private jet which Juvian owned.

After reaching the airport, Rain saw her elder brother talking to someone and screamed in joy.

" Brother!"

He turned towards them and widened his arms to hug her. She ran and hugged him like a Koala.

" Happy 16th birthday Rain" he said kissing her forehead.

She giggled and hugged his neck.

"So, did you like the gift that I and miss Arrogant prepared?" he said putting her down.

" You and sis?"

She asked being confused.

" Yes... Me and her"

Rain turned towards her sister who fake coughed to hide her embarrassment.

" But sis told me it was only her idea"

" Oh yeah..she did that"

Rain nodded.

Juvian gave a glare to his twin who ignored it while whistling playfully. He sighed and took out something from his coat pocket. He leaned down and made her wear a silver necklace with golden pendant.

" Happy birthday" he whispered near her ear, making her blush and mumble a soft thank-you. He chuckled and patted her head lovingly.

" Alright ...let's get in the Jet then" he said and his parents entered first, followed Julian. Juvian too turned to follow them , but Rain stopped him.

" Brother?"

" Hm..yes?"

" This locket... Isn't this Go-"

" Goddess Isis's pendant! I don't know much about history, so I bought this...didn't you like it?"

" No... I loved it. Thank you so much. I love you" She said with a grin and he returned her gestured with a pat on her head.

" Then...shall we go birthday girl" he said taking her hand and she nodded.

They entered the jet and started their journey to Egypt. On the entire way, Rain's heart beat like a fast moving bullet train. But why?

After a long flight of 4 hours, they reached their destination and Juvian already booked a 5- star hotel.

Rain was staying with Julian, and her parents had one room and Juvian one.

Julian unpacked her suitcase and pulled a dress. She put the dress over her and looked in front of the mirror.

" Raina? How am I looking?" She asked her younger sibling, but when she got no reply, she turned around to see her gazing outside with wide mouth and eyes.

Julian giggled and pulled out Rain's dress.

" Let's dress up soon to find more about your dream destiny" She added and Rain nodded with a bright smile.

~Later that day~

The guide explained to them everything, but Julian and their mother were bored as hell. Their father was busy taking pictures, Rain was joting down the points and Juvian clicked her focused pictures while chuckling.

" So ..this was the Great Ramesses- II's private chamber, where he you, know had-" before he could complete his sentence, Juvian and Mr. Florence gave him a sharp look, making him gulp in fright.

" He had what?"

Asked Rain ready to jot it down.

" Where he had lived with his concubine" The guide sighed in relief.

Rain nodded and followed the guide.

" Mom?"

" Yes honey?"

" I am bored"

" me too"

Both the ladies signed in sync before following the others.

" Um… Mr. Guide?"

" Yes Miss Rain?"

" Can you please tell me the past of Nefertari?" she asked nervously.

" Nefertari was the Pharaoh's beloved concubine, but not for long. Later he met a woman-whom we say as Isis and fell for her harder than Nefertari. The Pharaoh made Isis his concubine too and she became not only the Pharaoh's favorite but also of the other concubines and kingdom. People say that she was the reincarnation of the goddess herself" he ended and Rain was surprised.

" Here...this is Isis and The pharaoh. Only this mural is left of them, the others were destroyed during the past invasions"

Rain glided her fingers on the two figurines, until she felt a shock and moved back hissing.

" Ow ...." she hissed and Juvian along with his father reached her immediately.

" Raina?" Juvian held her shoulders.

" Bro... This gave me a shock" she said and Juvian looked at the guide with a deep glare.

" Huh?" the guide panicked and touched it himself, but felt nothing…

" Don't worry miss… It might be because of air current and heat" he said and Rain nodded.

They followed the guide and he showed them many wall paintings, old manuscripts, murals, and different statues.

" This is the way inside the pyramid, which The American researchers opened 15 years ago.

" Can we go inside?" Asked Mr. Florence.

" No sir...if we get in...we might get lost. This is Ramesses- II's pyramid and very complex inside" he added and Rain's father hummed and clicked a picture of the entrance.

" Let's now visit the Nile" he said with glee and Rain's mother's and sister's eyes shone.

" Yes Finally!" both of them said in sync and Rain chuckled at their funny faces.

They began walking out of the Pyramid site, until Rain felt a cold breeze hitting her from behind.

" You are mine~"

She quickly turned around and frowned to see no one.

" Rain?" Her father called out to her and she shrugged and ran towards them.

" Only mine~"
