Try To Convince

As Diana had no one, she directly went to Feng's house to meet Lea. The Feng family attained her warmly. Everybody in the Feng family liked her very much. They thought of her as a rational and sensible person. So they believed that she could convince Lea to forget Andrew.

After seeing Diana, Lea busted into tears. Lea was looking disastrous. She went on a hunger strike. She was confined like a prisoner in her own house. Lea felt relief after Diana’s arrival. She knew that her best friend would certainly do something to save her from this nightmare. In the meantime, Harry got some information about Andrew. He was an orphan and there was no trace of who his parents were. He was highly ambitious. He wanted to change his fate. So from childhood, he had always worked hard. Now he was working in a foreign corporation as a scientist. His discipline was genetic engineering and he was a genetic engineer. In a short time, he did well in his career and he was also known as a gentleman. After seeing his information Harry didn’t feel he was bad for Lea. Though it was suspicious that he did so well in his career in that short period without anyone’s help. He informed Diana about everything. He also told her about Andrew’s rapid growth. But Diana didn’t think that inappropriate. She thought he was a hard worker so he could achieve quick prosperity. She had decided to support Lea.

Diana first approached Lea's mother.

“Aunty, I know you love Lea the most. If anything happens to her you cannot live. You also know about Lea’s stubbornness. Don’t you think Lea will really harm herself if you tried to get her to marry someone else except Andrew? Aunty, I also organized information about Andrew. He is a good man. He can keep Lea happy. Believe me, aunty. I also love Lea very much.”

Lea’s mother was already nervous about her. After listening to Diana she can’t do anything except accept Andrew.

Then she convinced the second young master of the Feng family, Liam Feng. Liam was very close to Lea and he is much more easygoing. He also believed that ability is more important than family fame. So when Diana tried to persuade him, he agreed quickly.

Diana was not so comfortable with the first young master of the Feng family, Levon Feng. He was an arrogant and introverted person. Diana felt strange around him. So she didn’t even try to speak to him.

At last, Diana thought to talk with Lea’s father. But before that, she discussed with Lea, Liam and Mrs Feng her plan of eloping. If Mr Feng didn’t agree with them then Diana would take Lea with her and let her marry Andrew. Then Lea would stay at M city with Diana.

Taking a deep breath Diana knocked the study room of Mr Feng. Mr Feng welcomed her and asked her to sit down. Diana pulled a chair and sat in front of Mr Feng. Though she was very nervous she tried her best to stay calm. First, she talked about the physical condition of Mr Feng. Then Mr Feng asked Diana about her in-laws. He praised her highly that she got married to such a well-known family. He also expressed his sorrow about his daughter who was nothing but a big fool. Diana understood that it was almost impossible to convince him. But as eloping was not a decent deed she tried for the last time.

“Uncle, I know you love this family very much. The reputation of this family is everything to you. Lea was a fool that she didn’t understand your feelings for the family.”

At this, Mr Feng became pleased. With a smile on his face, he said, “You are always a smart girl. I like you from the very beginning. Please try to convince your foolish friend. I am arranging her marriage with the son of my best friend.”

Hearing this Diana’s face turned pale. With a trembling heart she started, “Uncle, I understand your situation. But Lea is your only daughter. Don’t you think she will be very hurt if you take this decision?”

Mr Feng’s eyes became stiffened. “What do you want to say, Diana? Do you try to convince me to accept that bast@rd? Does he have any ability to stand beside my daughter? I love my daughter. I know what is best for her. I don’t want her to suffer for the rest of her life. And this marriage will also disgrace our whole generation.” Mr Feng said harshly.

“But Uncle, Andrew is a good man. He is also extremely successful in his career and a rich man now. He has no family but that is not his fault. He can take good care of Lea. He also loves her. And don’t you think Lea is too stubborn? Can you guarantee that she won’t do anything foolish like suicide if you forced her into a marriage to which she will never agree?” Diana almost cried to say the last part.

“Being a rich man is not a great thing. Even a corrupted man can be rich. A person who doesn't have any family background cannot be well-raised. I don’t think we need to talk about this anymore”

“But uncle…”

Mr Feng interrupted Diana and said, “It’s been a long time since you came to S city. Your husband must be missing you. As an obedient wife you should not let your husband suffer. I think you should return now.”
