Love Is Blind

The time which Lea passed with Diana was very precious. Diana made Lea’s school life unforgettable. She tried to stay beside her in times of sorrow and happiness. Lea always got Diana beside her whenever she had a poor mental situation. Diana understood Lea very well. So Lea always felt at ease having Diana by her side.

But after High School, everything changed. Diana took admission to M University, one of the best Universities in the country which is situated in M city. On the other hand, Lea’s family didn’t allow her to go far away from them. So she was admitted to S university which is situated in S city.

After Diana left for M city Lea began to feel very vacant. Though Diana and Lea talked every day, this couldn’t help much. Lea was slowly going into depression. After that incident in high school, Lea stopped believing anyone new. Since then she hadn't made any new friends. So after Diana left there was no one beside her. Sometimes to remove her boredom she went to the park or shopping. Sometimes she also went to nightclubs.

One winter night, she was feeling very frustrated. So she decided to go to the nightclub which was the nearest club to her dwelling. She told the driver to take out her car and drive her there. But her second big brother, Liam, forbade her to go out.

“My dear little sister, look outside. It is snowing. It is not appropriate to go out today. Let's stay home and do something.” Liam told caressing Lea's head.

“Bro, I know you are worried about me. But don’t worry I will come home quickly. I am feeling very low. So I only want to go out for some refreshments. Please don't refuse it.”

Seeing his sister's eagerness Liam Feng took a deep sigh and told her that she had to come back early and she would have to keep her phone on. Lea checked her phone and saw it had enough charge. She agreed to her brother and hugged him as she went out.

After the car drove for some time the snowfall began to intensify. At one point the driver had to stop the car because he could not see the road through the snow. At this Lea got angry. She started to scold the driver though he had nothing to do. She got out of the car and started to walk. The driver tried to stop her. But poor fellow. He couldn’t do anything except handle some more anger.

Lea was walking through the pathway. The snow was getting thicker and the cold was increasing. As she was going to the club she didn’t wear many warm clothes. So she started to shiver. She felt like turning into ice. At one point it became inconceivable for her to walk anymore. Then suddenly she saw a shop. Without thinking much she entered there.

Reaching the shop she saw a young man who was buying a matchbox. He was tall, had curly black hair and a pair of brown eyes. After seeing Lea, who was shivering due to coldness, the young man became tense and hurried to her. He took off his jacket and put it around Lea’s shoulder. He asked the shopkeeper to give her a chair. He helped Lea to sit on the chair. After Lea became normal she thanked him.

“It’s completely ok. Anyone in such a situation would come to help you. Anyway, I am Andrew." Andrew extended his hand towards Lea for a handshake.

Lea held his hand."I am Lea.”

In this way, Lea met Andrew and a feeling of attraction was created in Lea’s heart.

Lea and Andrew exchanged their social ID. At that time Andrew was a student in his final year at S university. Though they never met with each other before that night. Andrew stayed with Lea till her car arrived to pick her up.

Lea and Andrew began to contact each other. Her loneliness started to remove. Every day they met with each other in the cafeteria of their university and chatted with one another for hours. Andrew was an orphan and he had no one in this world. He used to live in an orphanage in his childhood. He was a good student and was able to get admission to S University. Lea always felt pleased whenever she was with Andrew. Soon their friendship swivelled into love.

After graduation, Andrew joined a multinational company as a genetic engineer. He started his career with nothing and soon became rich and a successful man. After starting his job he could only meet with Lea on the weekend. He had promised Lea that he would marry her after her graduation. Lea was very happy with everything. But only one thing always made her nervous. She always thought about what she would do if her family didn’t accept Andrew. The Feng family was always very possessive about the family background but Andrew had no background. It was hard for them to persuade the Feng family, especially Lea’s father. But as everyone loved her in her family she had hoped that everyone would accept Andrew for her happiness.

But as soon as the Feng family knew about Andrew they became stunned. They couldn’t believe their precious child would fall for such a person. Mr Feng, who had always fulfilled Lea’s all desires, became very angry. He couldn’t accept that Lea would want to marry someone with no background though she knew about the significance of blood for them. He instantly ordered her big brother to lock her up in her room. Lea requested them pathetically to accept Andrew as he was a decent man. But nobody paid any heed to her. Everybody was very sad and angry. Mr Feng used all his powers to stop Andrew from entering S city.

Lea was very sad. She was crying all day and night. All her ways to contract with Andrew had been cut off. After much begging, she could only get a chance to send a letter to Diana. Then Diana was already married to Harry. In the letter, she told Diana that she couldn’t live without Andrew. Diana had to help her otherwise she might have killed herself. Diana knew Lea’s stubbornness. She could do anything to gain what she wanted. Seeing no other option Diana shared everything with Harry. Harry was very affectionate and supportive. He always tried to understand Diana and her feelings.

Seeing Diana's concern he told her, “I think you should help Lea. But before that let me seek some information about Andrew. You first go to S city. If Andrew is a good man then we will try to persuade Lea’s father. If he doesn’t get convinced then we will help Lea to escape. Anyone’s happiness is more important than family pride. And with our status in M city, the Feng family can’t do anything to us except stop us from entering S city.”

Harry’s family was also rich and had a good reputation for their business and behaviour. They always helped the needy and did many charity works in M city.

According to the plan, Diana went to S city. After four years she came here. Her parents went on a world tour after she got admission to the University. She also had no relatives here. So she didn’t get a chance to visit S city. After coming here she was extremely yearning for her childhood and her parents.
