Part 16

We reached there in my car as I opened the car's door and almost ran towards Naruto's  apartment ringing the doorbell numerous times before realising that it was already open and rushed inside even without waiting for Gaara. My forehead was covered in sweat drops and I panted. I have already prepared an image of Sasuke's lifeless body inside my brain. The interior of his apartment was dark and messy. I bumped into someone or something before falling down with a thud. A strong hand holds me by my arm pulling me up. In the dim light coming from the open door I could faintly make out Gaara's face... I thanked him before freeing my arm from his grip.

Gaara :  You alright?

Me :  Hmm... Yeah... Let's search him... It's too dark and messy here so take care.

Gaara :  Yeah right. *chuckles*

Me :  Naruto?!  Are you here??

Someone hugs me in the darkness. I was startled at first until I heard his voice.

Naruto :  Sakura Chan... Thank you for coming....

"Is he crying?"

Me :  What happened Naruto??

Naruto :  We... We will lose her!

Me :  Her? (Almost sighing in relief)  Whom??

Naruto :   H-Hinata....

Me :  Hinata?! But why?? What happened to her?!

Naruto :  She.. Left....

Me :  What the **** do you mean by she left?!

Naruto :  This... Morning she went out of the town to meet with her family.... Few minutes ago she send me a message saying.... Let's break up... And now she is not answering my calls....

He holds me more tightly crying... As Gaara switch on the lights of the room.

Gaara's thoughts....

I finally found the switch board and switched on the lights of the room. Only to find them busy hugging each other.



"Is this jealousy?"

Me :  (cleaning my throat)  Um... So... You don't even know what exactly happened?

Naruto :  (leaving her)   Which language do you understand??

Sakura :  Calm down Naruto... We should... Visit her.

Naruto :  I don't think she has returned....

Sakura :  Why you think so?

Naruto :  Instinct...

Sakura :  We should still check before reaching a conclusion.

Me :  She is right.

Sakura's thoughts...

Well Naruto was right. She haven't returned home... So we decided to visit her hometown. But something felt odd there... To begin with they didn't wanted to open the main gates for us until we crossed path with Neji who happened to be on a vacation. He greeted us but it felt that he was hiding something... And not only him rather everyone... Even Hinata....

They finally let us enter early next morning thanks to Neji. Naruto insisted that he wanted to have a talk with Hinata in private and that we should wait for him in the Hall. Agreeing to him,  we walked down the long corridor entering the hall room sliding open the door we sat down on the cushions with our knees folded as Hinata's father enters. It is a traditional house suggesting that it was made many years back. Hinata's father seems to be a very strict person.

Uncle  Hiashi :  Just leave when your done.

Me :  Um....

Tea is served as Naruto enters the room... His eyes were moist...

Naruto :  Let's go... Sakura chan... Gaara.

Me :  Where is Hinata?

He shakes his head in despair. I sighed sadly as Naruto starts walking out... Hinata's father notices this, standing up he holds Naruto by his hand gesturing him to sit down. Naruto sits down hiding his face with his hands as he starts crying....

Me :  Naruto... Don't lose hope.

Naruto :  Nothing is left...

Uncle  Hiashi :  Do you really love her?

Naruto :  Yea.....

Uncle Hiashi :  Well... I don't know.... If I am doing the right thing telling the truth to you... But...

Me : Please tell us...

Uncle Hiashi :  Hinata is getting married...

Me :  She what?!

Our faces turns pale as Naruto punches the floor angrily.

Gaara  :  Who is that?

Uncle Hiashi :  His name is Toneri Otsutsuki.

Gaara :  Otsutsuki.....

Me :  Don't you know Hinata and Naruto love each other?!

Uncle Hiashi :  I know... But my hands are tied.... He kidnapped Hanabi and is threatening us.

Naruto :  (finally looks up)  He did what?!

Me :  But... Why?....

Uncle Hiashi :  I-I can't explain everything... Except for... I borrowed some amount of money from him...last month... But he wants it back right now.... And I can't afford it.

Gaara :  How much?

Uncle  Hiashi :  1 Million Yen... He said he will sell her eyes or kidney if Hinata doesn't marry him... He tricked me.... Am such a baka.... Neji and his team are doing their best to search her.... But... I don't know....

Naruto :  Am sure that there is still some hope left ya know! *grins*

"How can he still smile in such a situation? "

Me :  Naruto....

The door is opened as Hinata comes in with a hard emotionless face.

Hinata :  Day after tomorrow is my wedding hope you people will be there to attend it...

Naruto's smile turns into sadness as he stands up and walks past her walking out of the room....
