Sakura's thoughts...

Darn that New Year decoration took some time..... I am so tired! I have been working all day and now when it's finally time for getting ready am being a sloth.... I checked the decorations for the final time keeping the Kadomatsus (gate pin) properly in it's positions outside my apartment door... When I saw my friends climbing up the stairs as they walked towards me.... Everyone were looking so pretty in their traditional clothes! Ino's face turns into annoyance as she sees me in my home clothes....

Ino : Hope your planning to come with us?

Me : Yea of course!

Ino : Then get ready already!

Me : Yea just a sec... I wanna check the decorations one more time...

Ino : No!

She catches hold of me dragging me inside towards my bedroom.... Others follow us behind waiting in the living room.... Naruto looks around before grinning. He was looking really good in traditional clothes...



Or he looks good in everything?

Naruto : Nice decorations Sakura Chan!

Me : Arigatou. Guys make yourself comfortable until I get rea.....

My words trail off as Ino closes the door of the bedroom. Somehow getting ready I came out along with her after few minutes... Lee blushed like a kid looking at me... As for Naruto there was a small shade of pink on his cheek as well.

Lee : Your looking like an angel Sakura Chan!

Naruto : Have to agree on that... Your looking gorgeous...

There was something different about him today... He wasn't acting like he used to few days back towards me... Did he finally realized? Hinata tip toed standing beside me and whispered...

Hinata : You sure that he loves me?

Me : Of course.

Naruto : What you two whispering about?

Me : N-Nothing.

Naruto : Oh.. Okay then. Let's go Hinata Chan.

Hinata : *blushing* Yea...

Sometimes later....

After visiting the shrine we entered a restaurant.... As it's new year eve and it's just few hours before we say goodbye to this year... We ordered Osechi-ryori which contains simmered shrimp, Tazukuri, Nishime cooked vegetables, kamaboka, datemaki, appetizer, konbumaki, kurikinton, tobiko, grilled sea bream, Kazunoko, pickled vegetables, sweets, black beans and grilled lobster in a single jubako box. Except for that we even ordered mochi (rice cake) and zoni (soup).

Picking up the chopsticks we said our prayers before we start eating... I took some lobster meat chewing it thoroughly.... While watching my friends.... Ino and Sai were busy feeding each other.... Choji and Naruto started a food competition to see who will be the winner.... Unfortunately Hinata was the winner who burped after completing almost half of the food.... Shikamaru was lost in his own dream world.... We paid the bill.. And was about to exit when we bumped into Neji and Tenten....

"Wait are they holding hands?! "

Me : Looking nice together... What say Ino?

Ino : Yea... *smirks*

Tenten : It's actually.. Not what you people are thinking *blushes*

Me : Why you didn't tell us?

Tenten : Um... Was going to....

Lee : Hey! Let's play some games and enjoy the night!

We all agreed with him as we walked around the fair. Different types of stalls has been set up here and there. Hinata and I were admiring the lightings while Naruto went up to a stall and brought colourful masks for us.



The sky was clear and starry today ideal for fireworks... The scenario was really beautiful.... Naruto holds our hands taking us towards a game stall....

Shopkeeper : You will get 3 chances to hit any of the gift items kept on the shelf and it would be yours.

Picking up the balls Naruto first aims at a pair of gorgeous white earrings and hits it.

Shopkeeper : *taking the earrings* Congrats you have won this!

Taking the box he puts it somewhere safe in his kimono. Then turns to look at us.

Me : For whom did you won that earrings?

Naruto : *shyly* No one in particular.... Anyways what you two want from those gifts? I will get them for you.

Me : Um... I want that teddy.. How about you Hinata?

Hinata : I would love to have that Japanese hand fan. *pointing*

Naruto : Alright then!

Putting his concentration on the fan he hits it with the ball... Then he tries to win the teddy as well but fails.

Naruto : Am sorry Sakura Chan.(searching his pocket for money) But I don't have any money left with me.

Me : It's fine Naruto.

He gives Hinata her gift as Lee stands behind us curious.

Lee : What's going on here?

Naruto : Hey bushy brow. Sakura Chan wanted that teddy but I lost.

Lee : Let me try.

He walks up to the stall and paid the money picking up one of the balls and hitting the teddy bear with it. The shopkeeper hands him over his gift as he stood in front of me giving it with a blush.

Me : Thank you so much Lee.

He starts blushing as I blow a flying kiss at him. We started giggling looking at his childish behavior...

Sasuke's thoughts....

Is that Sakura?... She is looking gorgeous.... But who are those guys with her?.... I stood there shocked as I saw her blowing a flying kiss at a weird looking guy....

"And I was feeling guilty? "

I found Sakura looking at me somewhat shocked... I walked towards them along with my friends...

Me : Look who is here... The loser of our school. And the most annoying girl in the town.

Naruto : What did you say?!

He holds me by my collar.

Karin : Leave Sasuke alone!

Naruto : Who is that girl?

Me : My girlfriend.

Sakura : What... Did.. You say?

Me : Why? Can't I? You can flirt with 2 or more guys at the same time so why can't I?

Sakura : What did you say?....

Naruto : Don't judge her without knowing the truth!

Me : What more do I need to know?...I was feeling guilty for dumping someone like her..

Naruto punches me hard on my face making my nose bleed..... Suigetsu and Jugo caught hold of Naruto as I kick him on his stomach.... That weird looking guy disappears coming back with more people..... Even Ino and his boyfriend Sai came to help.... After that we got busy in fist fights... I could hear Karin cheering us.

Sakura's thoughts.....

I can't believe he blamed me for something I never did... My eyes we're becoming moist as I bit my lip....

"And I loved him? "

I caught hold of Naruto....

Me : Stop it.

Naruto : But....

Me : Please... Let them go...

Sasuke : (spits some blood) Trying to save your lover huh?

Naruto : What the **** did you say?!

Me : Sasuke leave me alone.

Sasuke : I don't want to stay here anyways.

He leaves the spot along with his companions....

Me : You people enjoy.... Am going home...

Naruto : You sure?

Me : Hmm....

Without further words I left for my apartment....

Hinata's thoughts...

Ino : Am going after her.

Me : Am coming with you.

Ino : No... If I need any help then I will call you...

Me : Oh... Okay...

After she left.. Naruto holds my hand making me blush as he takes me somewhere more quieter..... Then sitting down on a bench he tells me to sit down.

Naruto : (looking at the sky) Best place for watching fireworks.

Me : Yeah.

Naruto : So... Um... Sakura Chan was saying you.. Love.. Me.. Is it true?....

Me : (my face turns red) Oh... That.. Um... Ah... It's...

He lays a kiss on my lip... Before I could say anything...

Naruto : I love you too.

Me : Really?

He nods before kissing me again... I closed my eyes feeling his warmth as our kiss went deeper... Until we heard the fireworks.... My face glowed as I looked at them.... Naruto takes out the box of earring and puts it in front of me...

Naruto : *blushing* Um... These are for you... Will you be my girlfriend?

Me : (smiling) Happy new year Naruto kun.

Naruto : Happy new year..

Sakura's thoughts....

Opening the apartment door.. I kept the teddy on the floor as I walked aimlessly in the dark.... My head felt heavy.... Everything was blurry... How could he say that about me?.... Why am I even alive after so many insults?.... Do I even deserve to live?... I let out a small cry... Before entering the kitchen.... Your life is worthless Sakura you useless bitch. Just end it and set everyone free from your miserable self.... Thinking about all these I took a knife in my hand putting it on my wrist.... I heard the sound of firecrackers as tears rolled down from my eyes.... Blood came out from my hand as I cut my veins.... Finally everyone would be happy.... Or would they?

Me : Happy.... New.. Year....

After that I crashed on the floor... Loosing my consciousness.
