Chapter 5

Everything was same just like it was that evening. The sun was setting again, the birds were there in the sky returning to their homes before it was dark. Mia took a deep breath to calm down herself . Her heart was already beating fast because of the hasty way she reached there.

"So we meet again.. " The voice behind Mia said.

She turned around and  saw that it was Aarav.

"I.. I know I will found you here.. " Mia said.

"Well before saying anything fill some air in yourself.. Or the next thing I will see in these beautiful rays is you falling down panting.. " He chuckled.

"I need you to answer a lot of things.. " She said.

"We have a lot of time till tomorrow.. Have some rest first.. " He said.

"He doesn't seem the same person he was at the meeting yesterday, just like he switched souls with an old CEO of some famous company then switched back again with that decent guy who is wanting to enjoy everything else in the environment. " Mia thought.

"You.. You are Aarav Jha right..? " Mia asked .

"Is there any doubt in that..? "Aarav said and looked at her.

" Well you seem really different.. " Mia said as trying to avoid eye contact.

"I know.. When I work I don't think of anything else and that's why I can sound cold at that time, but I too need a time out from these things. I need my space and my space is none other than this calm environment.. "

"Why are you telling me this..? "

"Didn't you wanted to hear it.. ? "

"I wanted to, but I am a total stranger to you.. " Mia said.

"Sometimes people can rely on strangers for letting their heart out, because they don't know each other.  And for people like me.. " He hesitated for a moment..

"People like you... Don't you want to continue..? " She asked and looked at him.

"For people like me who have no one to talk, can rely only on strangers.. "

"What if those strangers harm you? "

"Not every stranger is good, and not everyone stranger is bad, someone had to have keen eyes for them.. " Aarav said.

"I think you are more confusing than you seem.. "

"Not that much if you want to understand me.. " He leaned towards Mia.

"Better in your dreams.. " Mia pushed him away.

"Then why are you here to see me..? "

"I ... Yes.. I remember now.. I came to ask you about the case and your point of you, as for your position it would be difficult to meet you with legal letter " Aarav said in a serious tone.

"Then.. Go ahead.. "

"Tell me, what were you doing at night in the office after the working hours.? " Mia asked.

"I work overnight every night... "

"Then did you had any meeting with any of your clients at your office in this time..? "

"I don't have any meetings with my clients in my office or at night.. My meeting time is always scheduled between 2 :00 PM to 4:00 PM. I have meetings daily only at this time. "

"So.. What was that story he told me..? " Mia whispered to herself..

"What are you saying..? "

"I meant how can I believe you..? "

"You can recheck it with anyone in the office or any of my clients .. I know what I speak.. " Aarav said confidently.

"Then I will... Thank you for your time.. Mr. Jha.." Mia said and stood up.

"Are you leaving so soon.. "

"I don't have anything to do with you and my time is more precious for my cases.. "

"Oh.. Okay.. I won't ask you to stay.." He said and turned towards the sun again..

"He really is something.. " Mia thought and left .

Later that night, Nihar received a message to meet at the office as soon as possible..

"What you got..? " Nihar asked.

"A lot of things.. I think I have got my way out of this case.. " Mia answered rolling her head over the files.

"I also got a lot of things.. " He said..

"Then let's get a meeting with Our client and the opposite side tomorrow at 3:00 "

"As you say Ma'am.. " Nihar said and went away..

The next day, it was the time of meeting..

"This meeting is set up again to close the case today.. " Mia said..

"Now you people will know the power of justice.. " Mr. Parma said.

"Very well said.. Then what do you all want to say? " Aarav asked..

"Then, Mr. Parma do you know a middle classed family man won't be able to have 80  lakhs in his account and 70 lakhs hidden in his house.." Nihar said

"What... What are you talking about..? " Mr. Parma said.

"Let's be more clear here... You were the real betrayer of the company, you lured the opponents for money and even the whole story was yours.. You tried to change our direction by telling everything from Mr. Jha's side and then our whole attention was towards him and it bought you time to easily send that money to your children in Abroad..." Mia said.

" You... Are you really my lawyer.. How can you say these things.. I have always been loyal to myself.." Mr. Parma stammered.

"Now the truth is already uncovered Mr. Parma.. Hold your self up and take your remaining belonging from the company and walk out of it.. Rest you know about the rules.. " Aarav said.

"I will see you... I won't leave you lawyers and have this fun life.. " He said and left the cafe as fast as his feet can run..

"Thank you Miss Mia.. " Aarav said.

"But you are not welcome here.. I did my job.. Have a great evening Mr. Jha.. " Mia said and went away.. Nihar followed her.

"We were awesome back there . " Nihar said as they were walking to there car.

"I know.. Let's go to our Dad and Have some rest there.. "Mia said.

" Okay then.. I will inform Uncle.. "

"And is she there..? " Mia asked.

"Who.. ? " Nihar asked.

"Kiara... " She said and hit his forehead.

"How would I know..? "

"You should know.. Oh my .. How much work have I need to do with you guys.." Mia sighed.

"What are you saying..? " Nihar asked.

"See, don't hide it from me.. I already know that you like her My Friend.. Just tell her.. It's alright.. " She said and patted his head.

" You even know what are you saying..? " Nihar said and removed her hand from his head.

"I know what I know... And if you are not going to make a move today, I will introduce her to my friends.. I already have 5 people who are waiting for being introduced to her... And she also have her friends.. " Mia said in a threatening way.

"Her friends..????? " Nihar exclaimed.

"Yes Mister.. What do you think? Her parents efforts would go in wain..? "

" Oh.. Okay... "

"Now what are you thinking..  I am saying you to accept your feelings... "

"Yes yes.. " Nihar was lost in his own world..

It was night and everyone at home finished their dinner. They all were planning to head to the terrace for observing night sky with its bright moon..

Everyone was shocked after what they saw..

The terrace was set like it was arranged for a great proposal... Well it was.. The walls were lighted with flowery floor and balloons everywhere..



"Is it really done by our Nihar..? " Mia whispered to her dad..

"Of course.. I trained him.. You just rest assured.. And come down with me.. Let them have some privacy.. " Her dad said and pulled her.

"Yes Dad, let's go down and play with your cards.. "

"We will eat icecreams.." Her dad said.

"No..only I will. You can't..you have diabetes..remember..?."

"Only Today.. Please.. "

"No...no no. "

Both of them chatted as they were going down the stairs.

Kiara was shocked and standing there with her feets frozen. Nihar was standing in front of her and both of them were not able to say anything.

"I don't know how to start.." Nihar stammered "actually I don't know from where to start.. "

"Be.. Be casual" Kiara said and clenched her dress.

"I don't know from when I liked you, the moment you first held my hand when we were on the picnic after Mia's First case win, or from the moment you gave me the food you prepared for me after my hospitalization for overworking, or from the recent moment.. The thing is I keep falling for you every time I see you.. And it doesn't change even after I try to change it.. It's almost the same everytime.. Well it will be lie if I say it is same.. It's grows everytime.. I don't know if you are going to except it or not, but I will like you just the way I like the moon... "Nihar kneeled down, " Can you please be the woman of my life who will let me stick to her even when I will annoy her, love her, care for her a lot.. "

Kiara also kneeled in front of him..

"I don't know what to say But I think Yes would be enough... " She said..

Nihar hugged her like he will never leave her.. "You can hit me if I will ever hurt you.. "

"You don't have to take tension on that part.. I know you wouldn't.. " She said..
