Locked

He tore off her thin dress and pushed her below the shower turning it full. She gasped under the sudden rush of water. His eyes were cold.

"Wash yourself and come out." He walked out slamming the door behind.

Gracy was shocked at the sudden harshness. She stood under the shower sobbing.

After she was done she wrapped herself in a towel n walked out.

Her heart pounded to see Adrian still in the room. Standing next to the window n smoking, he turned around to see her.

"I don't have any clothes for changing." she said softly not daring to look him in the eyes.

Adrian took out one of his casual t-shirts from the wardrobe n threw it at her.

"Wear this for now and come down."

Saying this he went down stairs.

His mansion was quite different than the Li's Palace. This was in a secluded area surrounded by woods and a river nearby. There were no servants as he preferred being alone and undisturbed at times.

~Phone ring~

"Hello dad"

"Adrian I need you to stay there and not return to the palace for the time being till I solve last night's matter with the police. It's not a big deal to handle it but still I don't want your image to be spoiled in anyway."

"But dad, I can't be here and do nothing. I need to find that bastard."

"Son, don't be rash. I know you want to avenge Hyu and I too want that. But you need to be clever too. I don't want the police and public to be involved. Last night's massacre is all over the media. So wait till it is resolved. I will solve it soon."

"Yes dad." Adrian replied hesitantly and kept the phone.

Gracy slowly walked down the stairs wearing his t-shirt which hung lose over her body like a tunic. She held her hair up.

Adrian was sitting on a chair and there were packed food on the table.

"Sit and eat." he ordered.

Gracy was uncomfortable sitting near him and eating yet she was hungry.

They both started eating in silence.

"I will be going out. So I will lock you inside my room. Don't you dare do anything to escape." He said suddenly.

Gracy hated being locked. It gave her a sense of anxiety. Even if she wasn't locked she would not dare to run and provoke this cold man.

"But.... " as she wanted to deny she saw his sharp stare and she kept silent.

She followed him to the room obediently.

"Better not do anything. I am just locking the door this time. But if you do anything I will tie you up to the bed the whole day." he warned.

"Yes" she nodded in silence as Adrian locked her inside and went down.

The windows were open but had rigid grills. She looked down and saw Adrian leaving on his bike.

She sat on the bed and the hours went by slowly. Looking out of the window she saw the trees and the hills on the distant. There was only drinking water on the table. How could he just starve someone whole day she thought to herself. In the afternoon she took a nap but still the day was long and he wasn't back yet.

Though his presence scared her and made her uncomfortable but now she wanted him to return early.

Finally it was dusk yet he didn't return.

Was he planning to just lock her for days? This thought terrified her.

As Adrian rode his bike swiftly his thoughts were filled with the girl. Did she try to get away? No, she didn't seem rebellious. Was she scared? She might be hungry. He could not keep her out of his mind.

He should have left her some food but he didn't knew that the work with Cheng would take so long. It was already late night. He raised the speed of his bike and rushed through the road in the woods.

"Hooooooo..... " the wolves were howling somewhere deep in the woods and hills.

Gracy held her knees and sat on the bed. It was all silent except for the creepy sounds coming from the forest. She looked towards the window and felt like some shadow was there. Her heart pounded.

Though it was strange but she just prayed for the gangster to come back.

Adrian rushed upstairs and opened the lock of his bedroom and looked around. He saw her sitting at one corner. She looked scared. He went towards her.

Gracy's eyes lightened as she saw him. Suddenly she felt safe and impulsively she hugged him tightly like the night before.

Adrian was taken aback. Yet he liked this sudden feeling of closeness.

Gracy suddenly drew back. What had she done? She felt ashamed and scared.
