Chapter 3

Eren and Leon wake up at the bright of day and begin their journey. After days of traveling, they finally arrive at the kingdom walls. "How are we going to get passed the gate. It's protected by at least one-hundred guards." says Leon. "I guess we will have to come up with a plan." says Eren. They are discussing a strategy. "Neither of us has an identification paper, so we either sneak in or fight through the guards." says Eren. "There is no way we can fight that many men." says Leon. "Fine we wait until dark then we begin." says Eren. Eren and Leon are scouting the kingdom gates and walls. "There are only two guards watching over the gates, which means all the other guards are either sleeping or off duty." says Eren. "This will be easy then, will it not?" asks Leon. "No, the walls have rooms in them and that is where the other guards live, so if either of those guards see us, they will awaken the others. And if we are heard by the others that will not be good." says Eren. "You see that window, that's how we get in." says Eren. "How do we get up there?" asks Leon. " We have rope in the back of the wagon we will use that to climb up the wall." The two brothers sneak up to the wall staying out of the sight of the guards. When they get to the wall it is time to throw the rope up. The first throw misses but the metal hook makes a loud clank. The brothers press themselves against the wall, so the guards don't see them. Eren throws the rope again and it catches inside the window. They pull themselves up and make it into the kingdom walls. They sneak through the rooms making it to the basement area. They see a tunnel entrance and start to head down. When they enter the door behind them closes, Leaving the brothers trapped. They continue walking until coming to a metal door. They walk through the door and inside is the biggest knight they have ever seen; the man was like a mountain. "Welcome to Kritonia, the place you shall die." says the Knight. "Yeah, we will see about that." says Eren. "I don't know about this Eren, he seems really strong." says Leon. "Don't worry, you need to believe yin your demon blood more." says Eren. "Now let's get this fool" screams Eren. Eren and Leon rush the knight but neither of them know how to fight with one another. Leon attacks with an overhead slash but the knight dodges with incredible speed. Eren rushes and thrusts out his sword but the knight side steps and grabs the sword and throws Eren into the wall. The knight turns towards Leon and starts his own attack. He slowly walks at Leon but then with insane speed he sprints at Leon and brings his sword down, but Leon barely gets out of the way. Eren slowly gets up and Leon and Eren lock eyes. They both understand that they must work together. Eren slowly starts to sneak up behind the knight. Leon knows the knight will be fast enough to dodge his attack but not Eren's attack. Leon attack with a horizontal slash but the knight jumps over the blade, this is when Eren full sprints and stabs the knight through the back while he is in the air. Eren falls to the ground with an injured back, but they must continue. Leon carries Eren to the ending of the tunnel which leads into the back of a tavern. Leon lies Eren down and they both quench their thirst from the barrels.
