Chapter 4

Jason's POV

I was sat on one of the picnic benches, over looking the view of Scotland. I was in the middle of no where, miles away from my mum and my adoring little sister. Were they okay? I hoped my little didn't miss me as much as I missed her.

She had thrown a screaming fit the moment I had left the car, clinging on to my arm with her chubby fingers and frantically struggling out of her seat. I ripped her fingers from my arm with an aching heart as I pushed her back into the car and barricaded the car door between me and her. The shrillness of her voice was still ringing in my ears to this day.

A face bobbed in front of mine, wrenching me away from my thoughts.

"What are we going to do about that roommate of yours?" asked Ben, as he took a seat on front of me. I chewed my nail.

"Nothing," I mumbled, through a tasteless chunk of nail that I eventually spat out. Ben gave me a disdainful look. There was no point worrying him about it and I didn't want Noah to have the satisfaction of winning.

"I'm dorm president remember?" Ben flashed me a snigger as he puffed his just out. I rolled my eyes. "I can ask for us to switch."

"It's fine," I reassured, not even convincing myself. "You've already unloaded all of your stuff anyways."

"I know," he said, throwing his head back and looking at the sky, "but I'm just giving you an option in case things become unbearable."

I stared at him. "I'm curious to know what exactly made him put a sign up like that."

Ben brought his eyes down onto me and then tilted his head to the side.

"You do realise that homophobia still hasn't been solved, right?" I hated that he was right. "Yes, it's more open then maybe a few years ago and yes, there are more people becoming accepting of it but there are still people out there who think that homosexuals are Satan's little minions."

I groaned and placed my head in my hands. "I'm over thinking it."

I felt his hand reach over to my shoulder and pat it gently. "Not everyone is as forward thinking as you."

There was a long silence of him just patting my shoulder when all of a sudden a pat turned into a slap. I jumped and looked over at Ben who was now dancing in excitement.

"I almost for got to tell you," his voice was shattered with his failed attempts of concealing his joy, "Jisoo is having a welcome party on Friday as a sort of celebration of our first week back in college. He's invited both of us, so if you're interested, you can come along."

My heart dropped. "Will Noah be there?"

Ben gave me yet another slap. This time it hurt. "Seriously? Come on, dude. Just come along. There are going to be loads of people there so won't have to have anything to do with Noah."

I felt the annoyance in his voice slap me as if for the third time. I whined, trying hard to take Ben's words in. He was again right. I shouldn't let that short asshole ruin my opportunity of a night out. I didn't even have to involve myself with him if he was there.

I let out a prolonged sigh. "I'll think about it."

Ben looked at me sternly. "Whatever. I'm going with or without you."

"I never said you couldn't go without me," I said, trying not to feel jealous of the fact that he wouldn't even try to stay with me if I decided not to go. It was petty of me to even expect that much from him.

"Good!" laughed Ben. "I love you, man, but not that much."

I stuck my tongue out at him. "Thanks, Ben," my voice was glinting with sarcasm.

"No problem," he sniggered.

Even though Ben was right, I couldn't stop thinking about whether or not it was even worth attempting to go to a party with Noah present. I wasn't prepared for him to spend the whole night killing me over and over again with his stare that would probably haunt me during every second that I spent at the party .
