Chapter 3

Noah's POV

That little sh*t started running away, the first chance he got.

I felt myself grinning inside as his little legs sped up the closer he got the exit. He almost forgot to put his tray away but three seconds from the door, he charged a quick U-turn, dumped his try on the counter before making a quick dash to the door.

Ricky pinched me and I looked over at him with a scowl. He was looking down at me condescendingly, with his I'm-better-than-you look plastered to his face.

What a pr*ck.

I picked up my tray and stiffly started making my way towards the exit when a hand suddenly grabbed my shoulder.

I grabbed it with as much force as I could, turned around and lay my eyes upon a wincing Ricky. I felt good to see the b*stard who had always patronized me tremble in my grip. I let go, smirking.

"Let's switch," I demanded. He couldn't say no or it would be a bad ending for him. He knew that.

"What?"

"Ben can sleep with Jason and you can sleep with me," I pressed, irritated. He knew what I meant. He was just playing dumb.

"Hang on a sec," stuttered Ricky. "I thought you hated me."

Of course I hated him. I hated him so much that I wished too badly to dismantle his face and tear every limb from his body but it was like that for everyone. It was just that he was more bearable than the little sh*t that had just stormed the canteen in a hurry.

"Yeah. So?" I queried, trying to end the conversation as soon as possible. I hated talking to him. He treated me like a three year old. "Can we not ask them to switch? I don't want to share a room with that guy and it's obvious that he doesn't want to share a room with me either. He knows Ben so it shouldn't be a problem, and we've known each other long enough. Come on! Help me put here!"

"Noah, it's against the dorm policies," pleaded Ricky, suddenly aware of my fist slowly clenching. "And anyway, Ben and I are required to sleep in the same room, as we are both Dorm Presidents..."

He trailed off when he caught a glimpse of my teeth grinding.

"Who gives a sh*t?" I practically yelled. "No one is actually going to check. Plus, you're supposed to be the dorm president? Can't you do something about this kind of sh*t?"

He knew he had f*cked up but that determined b*stard still had the nerve to open his uncanny mouth and spew the words: "Why do you hate him so much?"

Why? Why? This pr*ck was really asking me why?

"Who said I hated him." My voice cracked at the end of my sentence as my skin started to boil with impatience.

"Is it because he called you weird?" There it was again. That tone. The same pitch you used if you were talking to a toddler or a f*cking dog. "I'm not surprised," he carried on. "You put a sign on his door that said: "no gays allowed". What if he was actually gay? That kind of nonsensical hate kills people."

My throat suddenly tightened at his last words. Like he f*cking knew anything.

"Does he look dead to you?" I huffed, trying so hard not dig my teeth into his skin.

"That's not what I meant, sighed Ricky. There is was again. The disappointment you would only show a child. I nearly screamed. "Here's the deal." My ears perked. "Put up with him for a week and if you can't handle him, then we will switch but only under the condition of it being a valid reason."

What the hell did this *sshole think of me? He treated me like I was the one being unreasonable. Like I was the one to blame for this. It took TWO to make the disagreement happen. It wasn't ALL me.

I considered it. A week. That wasn't long but it gave me all the time in the world to come up with a good fucking excuse to rid the guy.

"Fine," I grumbled, not even attempting to hide my loath for the boy who was stood in front of me. "One week."

"Try to play nice," muttered Ricky.

I hissed at him. Play nice my ***. I was going to destroy that motherf*cker.
