NIGHTMARE - 3(Yes 1 & 2 will be coming soon after this)

Back then, I was in class 7th, I had chicken pox. So, I was told to sleep and live in a separate room. As the youngest child, I had always slept with my family. Now, I had to sleep alone. I thought it wouldn't be that bad. But, most of the nights, I couldn't sleep. Even if I did, I would have nightmares most of the time. I told my parents about this. They said it was because I wasn't used to sleeping alone and it'd be alright with time. Oh well, back to the main topic, i might not remember most of the dreams but I would try to remember as much as I can.

Alright let's begin. i was sleeping one night and i had a dream -

I am in my school. i was startled as to why would i be in my school? Last time, i remembered i was doing...What was I doing...? I couldn't remember at all and my brain just accepted it - the fact that i was in school, as if i was there the whole time! However, back then, I hadn't gone to school for almost the past two weeks!

Oh well, it was the time for an end-of-day bell or the dismissal bell. All the girls and boys were lined up from grade 6th to 12th to be ready for departure. In my school bus, there were two people who used to go with me. To keep their privacy, I’ll just call them A and S (the first letter of their names). I saw A and S both running away by the front door of our school. In our school, there are four gates, in which the front door, which was big and magnificent, was open only for teachers and staff members. The east gate was always closed. The back gate was big yet, it wasn’t that open as it is now, it’d be better to consider it closed already. Students were only allowed to go through the West gate. The east and west gates were very small so that only 2 people can pass at a time so as to control children trying to slip away making a cut in the line and breaking the discipline. However, sometimes, students also slipped through the front door, as there were less number of teachers watching/guarding. A and S did the same thing. They ran towards the front door without looking back as they were afraid to be caught by the teachers. But they looked back just once, as if to tempt me to go with them. When I saw them, I also ran after them so that I won’t lose my seat to them. But, I turned around… There were three of the teachers who I knew even in school in reality, standing at different locations. One of them (our senior Computer-science teacher) called out to me, saying,”Hey, you! Where are you going…! Come back!” The senior most Hindi sir looked at me while smiling and greeted me; I greeted him back with a smile as well just like the reality. The most dangerous teacher in our school, the senior Geography ma’am looked at me while smiling at me. So familiar just like reality. Because in reality, she also greets me at times when our eyes meet while smiling like that. For other people, it might be creepy as to why she would smile like that, the thing is my family had known her and her husband(the computer sir from before) for a long time! That’s why I had no doubt like it is reality. In reality I used to slip and cut lines just like that but no one was mostly able to stop me, mainly because of my talent of [mixing with the crowd].

So, I also thought it was natural and kept running towards the front door. However, once I crossed the front door, I was in the back of the school (a little far from there)! Yes, this was definitely a wtf moment. However, for me, I wasn’t scared all. There were some other people behind me, however, A and S were nowhere to be seen. And I also remember that when I ran, I ran towards the front gate all alone. There was no one behind me, then where did these people come from. Oh well, never mind... They must have used their own talent like me. They were of my age. Maybe some of them were in my class. I recognized one of them, it was a girl-student whose father had already got transferred to some other faraway place and she had left the school but at that moment I didn’t knew (in the dream I mean, of course, in the reality I was already aware of it)! These people talked among themselves about going to the back of the school as they didn’t knew what was at the back of the school. I scorned them saying that they don’t even know this kind of little information! However, I noticed every single one of them had the bodies intact but faces blurry. However, I ignored that. I also agreed to go with them. ‘But, why? Why should I go with you people? Wasn’t I going to go…?’ I wanted to speak yet I couldn’t! So, instead, I said,”Alright, let’s go to the back of the school and see what’s there, but hurry or the bus will leave us.” Since, then, my calves stung a little and my heart started beating so that I could feel it even across the dream! Until now, everything was alright. However, here comes the twist. THE SCHOOL IN WHICH I HAD SPENT MY 7 YEARS (THEN) IN, I knew it very well, HOWEVER, THAT PLACE, I DIDN’T KNEW, EXISTED! I tried to remember what was it behind the school but couldn’t remember it at all!!! I felt like I was missing something, like a clue or maybe something…? It was really long, tall grass around me. My heart started to beat. I could feel it…Something was wrong, but I didn’t know what it was. It felt like a whole new parallel universe to me.

COME ON! DO YOU THINK THIS IS THE ENDING?? NO! OF COURSE NOT! THIS IS MERELY THE HALF OF IT!
