Chapter 5 WE ARE WAITING...

I quickly ran to the dinning table and help my mom set-up. When we were done my mom went into the kitchen to get the food. she brought back lasagna, a salad and a carton of orange juice.

I helped my siblings to sit on their chairs since they were to small to climb on it themselves. Then we all clapped our hands together like as if in prayer and said"let's eat".

While we were eating,"how was your day"my mom asked me. I looked up from my plate and said "fine". "ok that is good to here she replied". "did you make any friends"she asked. "I guess so.." I replied.

Dinner went on and on as usual, but I just remembered my older brother chase. I missed him so much, since he went for college a year ago, things just hadn't been the same, and I was closest to him after dad. Because he took all of dad's features, good hair colour, eye colour, everything.

When dinner was over I helped my mom clean up the table and wash the dishes. when dinner was over she told me to help get Zia and Zayn ready for bed and tuck them in to sleep. I sighed knowing that this was going to take a while.

I hurriedly but carefully washed the plates, then I ran to my siblings room. when I got there I saw them playing and jumping on the bed. I carried them to the bathroom, help brush their teeth and tucked then in to sleep and of course I read them a story.

"We love you big sis" they both said and dozed off. I looked at their cute little faces and kissed their foreheads. I quietly walked out of their room and headed to mines.

The only thought on my head was to go there and just lay on the bed,relaxing till I eventually drifted to sleep. As soon as I open the door and turned on the lights, I saw 'WE ARE WAITING...' written on the mirror with what looks like blood.

I immediately started trembling. I could feel my whole body shaking and the hair around my body standing up, goosebumps formed all over my body , so I rub my arms to calm myself down but to no avail.

I got closer to the mirror and It looked definitely like blood. When I looked straight into the mirror, I saw a reflection of myself. But instead of a paranoid and scared face I saw one smirking devilishly. That is when I completely lost it and screamed at the top of my lungs while pointing at the mirror."AAHHHHHHHH!!!!".

My mom opened my room door and ran towards me. She hugged me tightly and asked "Whatsapp my baby". I replied while still trembling "the the the mi..mi..ror". She turned and looked at the mirror and said "it's okay it's okay, it's gone now". I looked up there and said "can't you see, it the words, the words". she shook her head as if saying no. That's when I noticed that 'yeah the words were gone and the reflection was back to normal'.

I guess all that must have been a little too much for me because the next thing that happened was that I woke up the next morning. When I woke up, I immediately remembered everything that happened. But just to be sure I quickly sat up from my bed, grabbed a tarp from my closest and covered the mirror, before entering the bathroom to get ready for school.

I could hear the first class bell ring, then I entered the first class this morning, biology. I sat at the center of the classroom to avoid any more reflections. Pandora walked into to class as well as Xander, Percy, Millicent and a girl that I don't know her name, but I recall she was in that picture.

Pandora waved at me while the others just smiled as the walked past me. Then Xander just stopped in front of me and said "em... hey! is this seat taken can I seat here"but his head was down. "sure it will be my pleasure"I replied while tapping the empty space next to me. He quickly raised his head with a bright smile on his face, that made me to smile back while he took his seat.

Then our teacher entered the first and introduce herself."I am Ms. Taylor and I will be your biology teacher for the year. Good morning everyone " she said while smiling widely. "Good morning Ms Taylor" everyone replied. she looked quite young and had brown straight short hair.

"Your current seatmates will be you lab partners for the whole year"she said. Then I turned and looked at Xander by my side and he looked at me to, then we both just smiled. I could hear people grumble and some cheered." any complaints or changes can be met in my office during lunchtime" she added.

While she was talking I turned back wondering were Percy was sitting. I saw him seating with Millicent and the were talking and laughing, and I just felt hurt all of a sudden. I didn't know I was giving that vibe all around me because Xander turned and looked at me once again and said "are you alright". I nodded my head Wondering why I was just feeling down just now. He then said "you can talk to me if something is bothering you" , I smiled hearing that and said "okay, thanks".

Before biology class was over Mrs Taylor said "each pair will be given a frog for dissecting in the next class" as she walked towards a box with a tarp. When she removed the tarp, I saw all the frogs were dead and written on the glass of the aquarium was 'WE ARE WAITING...' I immediately started shivering again. then Xander asked me "are you okay" once more, but I didn't even reply and just kept trembling in fear.

That when I felt something warm touching my hand, I looked at my hand and saw that Xander was holding my hand. He rubbed it gently 'is he comforting me' I thought. while he was doing that I calmed down a little and looked at the aquarium I saw a bunch of happy frogs hopping around. 'am I losing my mind' I thought once again. But my attention drifted when I hear Xander voice saying "it's okay I'm here. I'm not sure what is wrong but you don't have to be scared anymore, I will always protect you".

I was dumbfounded, I didn't know what to say. I'm guessing he saw my expression because his face quickly turned red and he looked away while still holding my hand. I giggled and tapped his back gently and said "it's okay I don't mind" he turned back to look at me and smiled awkwardly. I just kept giggling because his face was still flushed.

The school day was finally over, so I went to my locker to pick up some of my stuff before going home. Then I felt someone's else presence so I quickly looked back instinctively. Then I heard Percy's voice saying "hey I'm here"while waving his hand to get my attention.

I sighed, relieved that it was only just him. "what happened in biology class today, you seemed a little off" he said. "Did Xander tell you that" I asked. He shook his head at if saying no. I heaved another sigh and leaned on my closed locker then sat on the ground. He bent down and sat on the ground right next to me."it's just that lately.... I don't know" I said then I turned to look at him. His face looked concerned and like as of he was paying so much attention. "never mind it was no big deal" I finally said.

He just sighed and said while standing up "okay if its no big deal, I don't want to bother you too much about it. But I want to take you somewhere". I could see his hand out as if asking me to take it. I reluctantly took his hand while he helped me to stand up. His hand felt warm as we walked to this so called place.
