Episode 6

Six years have passed and Valery is twelve, while Carlos, Tadeo, and Benjamin are thirteen. The boys are approaching the age of military eligibility.

Throughout these years, they have learned various combat techniques and are very capable. Valery has excelled in every challenge, and her older brother Jaiden knows that his little sister won't give in easily and will find a way to join the army.

On a day of great battle, Lucas was injured, a fact that alarmed everyone. Greta has been taking care of him day and night, finding it difficult to conceal her feelings for Lucas. She has seen a painting of his late wife and can't imagine the gruff and stubborn man taking notice of her.

As she tends to his wound and cleans it, she can't help but express what she feels.

Greta: "You're so stubborn and grumpy, but you managed to worm your way into my heart, you fool."

Tears trickle down her cheeks and are wiped away by a hand.

Lucas: "You’re beautiful, Greta, I'm sorry for making you cry. I'm an old, stubborn fool who didn’t realize, and I'm not one to speak my feelings, but you also have a place in my heart. So, will you accept this old curmudgeon?"

Greta: "You? Yes, yes I accept!"

Lucas tries to reach for her, but his wound pains him, so it's Greta who awkwardly plants a kiss on his lips. Suddenly, the door bursts open, and there's a cough from behind.

Jaiden: "When were you going to tell us?"

Blushing like a tomato, Greta stammers: "I, I..."

Lucas looks at his three sons: "Boys, today I finally mustered the courage to ask Greta to be my partner."

Dikson: "About time, Father."

Valery: "Took you six years, ha!"

The three siblings: "Congratulations! And when's the wedding?"

Greta: "A wedding? But I'm just a simple nanny, not of any noble family."

Jaiden: "That doesn't matter; we care for you deeply and no noblewoman will be our father's new wife."

Dikson: "Only you, Greta, you’ve earned that title."

Valery: "Yes, Mrs. Roberson!!!"

Greta was overjoyed to be accepted by Lucas's children and by him despite her non-noble status.

Greta is 45, short, slightly plump, with long black hair tied in a bun, brown eyes, and a lovely, warm smile. She has a gentle disposition but can be more fearsome than Lucas himself when angered.

After several weeks of healing, Lucas called the village priest, and they had a modest wedding. The whole village and parts of the army were present. Greta was very nervous and wore a beautiful white dress made by Margo, with a floral crown crafted by Valery.

She walked into the chapel on Jaiden's arm, while Lucas waited at the altar. The ceremony was beautiful, the first wedding the village had celebrated in many years.

Valery wore a pretty pink dress that highlighted her lovely hazel eyes. It would be the last time Valery wore a dress for many years.

The whole village took part in the celebration of General Roberson's wedding. Greta had earned the respect and affection of everyone in the village.

The general, a man of 50 with a strong physique and commanding presence, typically does not show his feelings, but with his children and Greta, it's different.

When night falls, Lucas and Greta retire to a cabin decorated with flowers by Valery. It's very beautiful, and Greta's nervousness is evident. Lucas carries her in his arms and, with tender words and kisses, all her fears dissipate as they make love for the first time. It's Greta's first time with a man and Lucas is very careful with her, filling their first intimate moment with kisses and caresses, making it special for both of them.
