The Legion

When they finally walk out, Miu and Nanami stand waiting for them as Ciarra is nowhere to be found.

"Where is Ms. Narukami?" Ramira asked. The two adults looked at each other in silence until Miu spoke up.

"She had something to do, we'll meet her at the hideout."

"Right..." Ruby said with her arms crossed, rolling her eyes with suspension.

"Anyway, on to more important matters. Nanami-sensei are you going to explain the Legion thing to us?" Celestial asked.

"That was the agreement. Do you mind taking us back to the hideout then?" she asked with a sigh. Celestial gave a thumbs up as she sent them to a big house surrounded by grass and a few trees.

"Wait... I just realized, how exactly is this our hideout if we come from the sewer?" Dawn asked squinting in suspicion.

"The door in the sewer drain is a warp hole made by Celeste so most people cannot find us since we are 'criminals'," Nanami stated. "But that's not important let's head inside so I can keep my part of the deal."

They all look at each other before they follow Nanami in the building and see Ciarra floating over the couch watching television. 'Why is she floating instead of just sitting on the couch?' Dawn wondered.

"Mom, we're here," Ruby spoke seeing that she didn't notice them. Ciarra gave us a side glance and turned off the t.v. floating over to us.

"Alright now that we're all here allow me to tell you a story, um... you two don't have to be here since you already know what happened," she started. Hearing this Ciarra nods floating away to her room. A little after Ciarra leaves Miu makes her way to the kitchen.

"Ok, let's begin. Hm... where should I start... ah I know. Our story begans when a little girl gets thrown out by her parents for her mother's choices," Nanami starts sitting on the couch adjusting her voice to a deep stereotypical narrator. "On her way to find shelter she sees a cave, having no other choices she went inside. What she finds is another girl about one or two years her senior. The girl accepts her with open arms, and after a few years they fall in love," she continues.

"After the original team they were in disbanded, they made a group to send criminals away and help the lives of innocents, this group was called the Legion. However, the older one soon became possessed by the Gods upon the realization her lover set up a plan to betray her. She was found out but not killed as her lover was still there. After that... I created the Dragons to save her..." Nanami finished with a saddened look notably keeping some details out.

The others stood there in shocked silence.

"Wait, the gods? Didn't Enmei say one of us was the 'God of Freedom'," Dawn pointed out.

"What?" Nanami asked.

"I thought you could see everything that happened, why are you surprised," Ruby asked.

"I can only see not hear," she responded.

"Could I interrupt for a moment?" Ramira asked. The others turned to her.

"Maybe not all the gods are responsible for what happened, since we don't know exactly who they are," Ramira said.

"Funny. You said the same thing Ciarra did," Nanami chuckled bitterly.

"She can speak?" Dawn asked.

"Did you really think my mom was mute? Are you stupid," Ruby asked.

"Well, I mean she has never talked no matter how many times I have spoken to her," Dawn says in her defense.

"Oh, she's like that with all of us except Ruby and apparently Nanami-sensei," Celestial states.

"And Israel," Ruby adds in.

"Huh, really," Celestial asked.

"Well, I am her nephew, so it'd be kind of sad if she didn't," he responded.

"Nephew?" Dawn asked.

"Aunt Miu married my mother's sister, making Israel my cousin," she explained as if Dawn was stupid.

"Oh, did I not tell you? My bad," Israel said.

"Which one of you is this 'God of Freedom," Nanami asked changing the topic.

"If you're glaring at us like that, why the hell would they want to tell you," Ruby spoke uncomfortably.

"You're right my bad, 'God of Freedom' could you please tell me who you are, so we can have a little chat," Nanami spoke passively aggressively.

"What are you guys doing?" someone said, when they turned their heads, they saw Miu and Ciarra with confused looks.

"Nanami finished telling her life story and now they are trying to figure out who the 'God of Freedom' is," Ramira summed up.

"The 'God of Freedom," Miu said shocked and confused.

"Do you not recognize them? It's kind of hard not to recognize the old lady's voice," Ciarra said to everyone's surprise.

"The old lady with the stick?" Nanami asked.

"Yea, they even act alike," she continued in a hushed tone.

"Where, who, what??" Miu said still confused as to what's going on. Ciarra then lifted her finger motioning Ruby to move out of the way and pointed straight ahead. If you followed her finger, you would see a short girl with blonde hair and deep brown eyes.
