Episode 14

Everyone in the room fell silent, as no one there liked Nathalia. Noah was not in the room, as he was in his office resolving some work matters. When Nathalia noticed Paolo's presence there, she didn't like it at all, but she didn't say anything because it wasn't her house.

Nathalia: "Hi everyone, how are you?" (she says, forcing a smile)

Joyce: "Hi Nathalia, I was fine, but you just ruined the mood."

Nathalia: "What's this, stepdaughter? Is this how you talk to your future mother?"

Joyce: "You will never be my mother."

Nathalia: "Just wait until I marry your father, I'll do everything to make him send you to boarding school."

Nick: "Who do you think you are to talk to my girlfriend like that?"

Nathalia: "The future owner of this house."

They argued, and there in the corner of the sofa was Paolo, quiet, saying nothing. As Nick was about to respond, the office door opened, and Noah came out, heading towards the living room. When he arrived, he saw Joyce with a tearful face and became worried.

Noah: "My princess, what happened?"

Joyce didn't want to talk, because she was afraid it would really happen, so Nick decided to speak up.

Nick: "Nathalia is saying that as soon as she marries you, she's going to send Joyce to boarding school."

Noah: "I would never allow that, my daughter. You are my most precious possession, you are my reason for living, you are the reason I want to wake up every day."

Joyce: "Promise me you won't marry her, that you'll end this relationship, please, Daddy, promise?"

Nathalia: "Hahaha, you can stop dreaming, that's not going to happen. Your father is not going to break up with me because of a spoiled little girl."

Noah: "THAT'S ENOUGH, NATHALIA! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TALK TO MY DAUGHTER LIKE THAT? Let me remind you, you are NO ONE! And yes, I AM breaking up with you. NOW GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" (He speaks with hatred, his eyes were frightening.)

Nathalia: "C-calm down, my love, I'm going, but I'll be back later so we can work things out."

Noah: "No need, I don't want to see you. I'm putting an end to our relationship."

Nathalia didn't say anything, she just left there crying, but with one thought: He will come back to me, whether he likes it or not.

Joyce couldn't stop crying; she was sitting next to Nick until she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Paolo: "Don't cry, my baby. If that crazy woman or your father ever tries to send you to boarding school, you can be sure that I will go with you. Don't worry."

Noah: "No one is going anywhere. You are mine, my family. And besides, Joyce is in college, not high school."

Paolo: "Joyce, my princess, today is Saturday, let's go to a bar so you can forget this crazy afternoon, okay?"

Joyce: "Oh, Daddy, of course, let's go!"

Paolo: "D-daddy?" (He speaks with embarrassment.)

Joyce: "Yes, you will be my daddy. Even though we are the same age, you will be my daddy. Speaking of which, what day is my little brother arriving?"

Paolo: "Well, Miguel arrives tomorrow."

Noah: "That's great. What time are we going to the bar?"

Nick: "Father-in-law, Paolo didn't invite us; he only invited Joyce."

Noah: "And you think I'm going to let my man walk around out there alone, for those jerks to lay their eyes on him? Not a chance!"

Nick: "Never seen such a jealous father-in-law."

Joyce: "See, my love?"

Paolo: "I-I was just about to invite you guys to come too."
