Episode 5

Class was over, and Paolo was finishing packing his things. Only he and Noah were left in the classroom. As Paolo was about to leave, Noah called him.

"Paolo, wait a minute," said Noah.

"Yes, Professor?" Paolo responded.

"You are a very intelligent young man. If you keep it up, you will surely get high grades."

"Thank you, Professor. I have to put in a lot of effort," said Paolo.

"I saw that you have a scholarship, but your family is wealthy," Noah remarked.

"Yes, they are. I am not," replied Paolo.

"Why do you say that? I noticed a hint of sadness in your eyes. Did something happen?" asked Noah.

"Look, Professor, several things have happened. But can we talk another time? I'm dying to go home, rest, and study some more. Maybe when the week is over, and if you still want to talk, just buy me dinner," Paolo suggested.

Paolo said that, left his cell phone number on his professor's desk, and walked out of the classroom. Noah was shocked by the boy's reaction, but in his mind, he was loving having the number of a boy who had stirred something within him that he couldn't explain. But one thing he was sure of: he would call Paolo on the weekend.

Paolo left the room laughing to himself, unable to hide his happiness. When he saw Noah for the first time, he felt something in his chest, though he didn't know what it was (A HEART ATTACK LOL, JUST KIDDING LOL), but he was willing to find out. And he could sense that Noah felt it too.

Paolo arrived at his dorm room and went straight to take a shower. He finished and put on a baby doll just as his roommate arrived.

"Oh, sorry to interrupt, but you have a much better body than some women out there. Damn, what a body!" exclaimed Nick.

"Cut it out. It's because I work out. Speaking of working out, is there a gym around here?" asked Paolo.

"There's one I go to all the time. If you want, you can come and go with me. What do you say?" offered Nick.

"That sounds good, but I'm not exactly up for it today."

"It wouldn't have worked out today anyway. I'm taking my girl out," said Nick.

"I want to meet her, haha," Paolo requested.

"Sure thing. But just to let you know, don't badmouth Noah in front of her."

"Why not?"

"He's her father," Nick revealed.

"You mean he's married and has a daughter?"

"No, he's not married, but he does have a daughter. It was a one-night stand that ended up getting the mother, Joyce, pregnant. Unfortunately, she died in childbirth, so he and Joyce have been inseparable ever since. But you'll enjoy meeting her," Nick assured.

"I bet I will."

They finished their conversation, Nick went to the bathroom to take his shower and get dressed, then said goodbye to Paolo and left. Paolo was left with his thoughts racing.

Noah didn't know what to do. All he could do was think about Paolo since the day he bumped into him in the dormitory hallway.

"Hey, honey, what are you thinking so much about?" asked Nathalia.

"Nothing, I'm not thinking about anything, love," replied Noah.

Joice Jones, 19 years old, a criminal law student, will be Paolo's best friend and will support her father in getting together with Paolo. She doesn't like Nathalia and is Nick's girlfriend.

Nathalia Borges, 34 years old, has a medical degree but doesn't practice. She prefers to be Noah's secretary (yes, folks, I forgot to mention he has an office) because that's the only way she can keep an eye on him. She will do everything she can to keep him and wants to send Joice on an exchange program to Mexico, but she won't succeed.
