Chapter 3 - "Proposal"

"It's such a shame that I married the typical arrogant young master from a novel book, I can't believe I'll be living like this for a year and a half!" said Darlene heading to the kitchen

But she suddenly remembered that she wasn't very good at cooking, so she went out to buy food while Jay was taking a shower in the room.

After that Jay came down for dinner, Darlene then serve him with a bowl of spaghetti and fruit salad which she had been interested in lately.

"You're cooking pasta, I don't smell it from upstairs!" said Jay to her with a judging face

After tasting it, Jay suddenly realized that it wasn't his cooking because it was a taste he had tasted before.

"Did you buy this spaghetti and this salad, because they taste exactly the same as the ones at a four-star restaurant?" said Jay to Darlene looking at her

"The proposal does not say that you are not allowed to buy food from outside!" said Darlene taking a spoon of her salad

Jay ignored her and continued eating. Suddenly the atmosphere felt very quiet, where Jay sat at a distance from Darlene. Continue eating without talking at all.

"About Jadeline, is she okay with you having this kind of relationship with me?" ask Darlene to Jay suddenly

"Jadeline, who is that woman, I don't think I've ever heard of it?" ask Jay to Darlene confused

"You don't know, are you kidding me?" said Darlene frustrated

"Yeah seriously I don't know, did I ever have a relationship with her?" ask Jay to Darlene confused

"What a good actor, I'm being serious right now, please tell the truth!" said Darlene to Jay

"I really don't know who is Jadeline!" said Jay really confused

"Then who said this yesterday that she is my real wife and I will marry her!" mocked Darlene to Jay

"I don't know her at all, and did I really say that?" ask Jay to Darlene with a confused look

Without saying anything further, Darlene finished her food and immediately headed upstairs. She felt annoyed at being treated like this by the Tang family, who had embarrassed her on the first day.

"I didn't expect them all to treat me like this, it's really disgusting!" said Darlene walking to her room with anger

"Not knowing Jadeline who he said was the woman he loved, what a disgusting guy!" said Darlene taking a shower in her room

The next day Darlene woke up and after finishing her shower she wanted to go downstairs to eat her breakfast.

But she heard a loud laugh from below. And after going down the stairs she walked towards the dining area, and saw Jadeline and Jay sitting on chairs and having breakfast together.

"So we're leaving this afternoon right?" ask Jadeline while laughing to Jay

"Of course, anything for the princess!" reply Jay to Jadeline while laughing too

Darlene, who saw this, was shocked by Jay's pretense, which made her even more disgusted by their behavior.

"Good morning, Miss Song, how was your sleep?" ask Jadeline suddenly smiled to her

Darlene didn't even smile back as she then walked out of the mansion to go somewhere. Jadeline saw this and became very angry.

"Who do they think they are, one and a half years, no I'm getting divorced in a week, I can't live like this!" said Darlene driving her car to the city

After that Darlene drove her car to a café near the center of Z city. She then walked inside. It turns out she just wanted to meet her friend Jessica Zhou.

"Jessica!" waved Darlene to her friends with a smile

"Darlene, we finally meet again, how was your wedding?" ask Jessica to Darlene looking at her

"I'm sorry I couldn't invite you before because they said they wanted to keep it a secret!" said Darlene to Jessica

"It's okay, I understand, so now can you explain what your husband's characteristics are like?" ask Jessica to Darlene

"Huh husband, not my husband, he is in a relationship with a woman, and he said that woman is the true girl that will be his wife!" said Darlene sipping her coffee

"So he cheated on you?" ask Jessica shocked

"Not really, because they were already together before I married him!" said Darlene to Jessica

"Damn that ugly man, divorce him!" said Jessica to Darlene

"I wish I could, but it's not that easy, if I divorce him then my family won't be okay!" said Darlene to Jessica looking frustrated

"Oh by the way, did you hear about the new company founded by a guy from overseas?" ask Jessica to Darlene looking really excited

"No, I don't know why?" ask Darlene curious Jessica

"He seems to be throwing a ball, and did you know my family is invited?" said Jessica to Darlene

"I want to try to meet a new guy there after 3 months of breaking up with that midfielder!" said Jessica to Darlene excited

"Okay then, I wish you success!" said Darlene to Jessica

After a few minutes of chatting, Darlene finally left the place and headed to her new company.

Arriving at the company, she entered carrying a box of her belongings and headed to her new office.

"Alright all, let's get ready to greet our new manager, I heard she move from another company!" said a co-worker named Karen Gu

"Our team has endured with difficulty with Manager Wang who suddenly quitting his job!" reply another co-worker named Paul Wei

Suddenly the sound of women's heels could be heard from afar, everyone was waiting by the door curiously and that's when Darlene was standing right in front of the door.

"Welcome to the new manager!" shouted everyone in sync to Darlene happily

"Oh, thank you very much everyone!" said Darlene shocked a little

"My name is Darlene Song from Song company, starting today I will work hard for our team in the future!" said Darlene to all of them with a warm smile

Arriving at her division, she put it near her new desk. It turned out that she would be the new manager in division A.
