I listened to them because that's all I could do. I tried one last attempt to make myself visible. I walked towards the 2 girls, and I tried to feel some sort of push to get their attention. My last step was to decide whether this was my last shot. As I took my last step, the same light gray smoke appeared, and I stood still to see if it worked. When the smoke cleared, the girl's were in the back of their bedroom. Both gave me cautious stares to make sure I wasn't someone trying to put them through the same fate the blonde girl experienced. I understood why they would be scared and untrusting. “Can you finally see me..?” I asked the black haired girl.

She nodded but was confused.

“Who are you?” She questioned.

“I don’t know my name, but I’ve been with you since you got threatened by your father.” I replied.

“..Were you that presence I felt around me when I was hiding in the bathroom..?”

“Yes, I was.”

“If you were here the whole time, why didn’t you help the little girl?!” Sara shouted with a shaky voice.

“I’m sorry… There was nothing I could do… I didn’t know how to get you to see me..” I replied.

Sara started sobbing silently while breathing heavily. The girl tried to calm her down, but that only made it worse. Sara started crying even more and couldn’t control the panic since she was still just a kid. I tried to help the girl calm Sara, but then I started hearing footsteps walking towards the room. I told the black haired girl to try to get quiet, but it was getting harder to calm Sara down. I panicked because Sara wouldn’t stop crying. I tried to look for something that could possibly make her cry, but I couldn’t find anything.

“Quick! Go invisible, I have an idea that might work!” The girl whispered.

I didn’t know what her idea was, but I complied. I didn’t have anything to show why she was crying, but the girl did, so I trusted her. I went invisible but to the point where they could still hear me since I haven’t perfected my transitions yet. I just stayed as quiet as I could when the door to the room opened.

“What happened?! What’s wrong?!” Uncle En said as he and Mother entered the room.

“Sara saw a spider on the walk and got scared. I didn't know she was this scared of spiders.” The girl responded confidently, compressing the fear in her voice.

“What happened to the spider?” Mother asked.

“ I killed and got rid of it already.” replied the girl.

“Ok good. If this happens again, tell us, and we’ll get rid of the bug. It could’ve been venomous, and it would’ve given you an infection or worse.” En stated.
