Chapter 5

"Sweetheart its time for bed."

"Coming mama." I put away the last of her laundry and take out a diaper to put on her. She came through the door and I lift her onto the changing table. I put her diaper on and her pjs before tucking her in.

"Goodnight sweetheart."

"Goodnight mama."

I turn the lights down before walking out of the room.

"Dia the cops are here." This is what I was running from. I know it was a matter of time before they show up and I was ready to give them a piece of my mind.

I walk downstairs and I was surprise to see the The Silvestri and the other family must be her.

"Hello officers. You took longer than I thought you will."

"Ms. Dion we got a complain that you harass this woman here."

I chuckle and lean on the wall. "Yes I did. I would have done worst but my daughter wasn't that far away and I rather be free to raise her."

"Arrest her."

"Arrest me? Lia my tablet." She was more than happy to give it to me. "She trespassed on my property and then have the nerves to threaten my daughter."

I hand my evidence over and she look scared. I look at Domenico since he was staring at me. I roll my eyes and look back at the police.

"The evidence is all here. We can't arrest her because Ms. Crest is in the wrong and threatening a child an offend."

He hand my tablet back with a nod of his head. "We'll be taking our leave."

"Mama." I look towards the stairs with wide eyes. Even Lia look scared.

"Baby how did you get out of your crib." I rush up the stairs as lift her up.

"Dia don't even think of leaving."

I turn to him with a frown. I hand Angel over to Lia who carry her back to the nursery.

"When were you going to tell me?"

"When she turns eighteen."

"Hold up." I look at Mrs. Silvestri who was looking confused. "What's going on here?"

"This is between us mom." He step to the bottom of the stairs. "Why the hell didn't you tell me? When did you find out Dia?"

"Three days before you broke up with me. What did you think was in the box that I was gonna give you and didn't bother."

"She's what two? I can't believe you."

"Don't even think about it. This ***** of a mother is the reason I didn't tell you."

"What does my mother got to do with this?"

"Oh you don't know? She tried to kill me."

"What?" All eyes turn to Mrs. Silvestri. "Mom is this true?"

"I...I..."

"You think Neveah will get here if she has succeeded? I almost lost my baby because of her so you don't have any right to be and at me. She's the reason I didn't want anyone in your family to know about her. She's the reason I'm sorry she shared DNA with you. She's the reason every damn thing happens in the first place. So you think your mother was a saint, asked her why she did it."
