Chapter 3

The next morning I woke up early and did some cleaning since Neveah wasn't here to pull everything back up. Lia make breakfast while still complaining about last night. I forget about the interaction already.

I don't keep living in the past and that's exactly what he is. I don't think I want to be in that family again. Her mother hate me because she think I was keeping her son away from his destiny. I've had enough and everything. I move away and continue my studies away. I came back when Neveah was born to be closer to my parents.

I'm not mixing past with present. That never ends well.

"Breakfast ready." I went to wash my hands before taking a seat.

"What's your plan for today?"I asked.

"We need groceries so I'm getting that and I'm out of shampoo so I need to stack up again. I think that's it."

"Then I'll probably see you. Oh get feeding for Neveah since your going grocery shopping. I was thinking of going after leaving the hospital but since you're going."

"I'll pick it up."

"Thanks." I finish eating and load the dishwasher. I head upstairs to take a shower and get ready to pick Neveah up.

After I was ready I grab my handbag and head downstairs.

"I'm going so I'll see you later."

"OK." I grab the keys from the hook and head out.

There wasn't much traffic so I get to my parents quickly. They were in the driveway with Neveah running around.

"Mama!"

"Hey angel. Hi mom. Hi dad."

"She was a perfect angel."

"She always is."

"Mama."

"Oh you're giving me a leaf."

"Yes." I pinch her chubby cheeks before lifting her up.

"I didn't remember packing this outfit."

"Your father bought it when he went out."

"I couldn't resist."

"Its cute. I better get going. Tell grandma and grandpa bye."

"Bye bye."

"Bye sweetheart."

I strap her into her carseat before getting into the driver's seat. I want to my parents before driving away.

"Mama coco."

"You want coco melon?"

"Yes!" I turn the mini screen on and play the one she was already watching.

By the time we reach the hospital she was singing as high as her little voice can go.

I park in a empty spot and got out. I grab her bag and put my purse in before unbuckling her.

"Angel wait for mommy." I lock the car and hurry after her. I push the door open so she could enter.

"Angel."

"Hi." The nurses here love her.

I sign in and went take a seat as we wait for the doctor. She busy herself with the puzzles on the table while I work. I keep a eye on her because for a tiny person she move fast.

"Ms. Dion this way please."

"Come on Angel."

She ran ahead with the doctor. We enter the room and the doctor place her on the bed to sit.

I sit and let him do his thing.

"She's very healthy. Has she has an allergic reaction or anything since the last time you come?"

"No. She doesn't seem to be allergic to anything but nuts."

"That's good. I hope it stays that way." Me too. "I'll see you at your next appointment."

"Bye!"

"Bye Angel." I walk out of the room as Angel run ahead of me.

"Ow!"

"Angel! Sweetie are you ok?"

"Is she ok?" Not now!

"She's fine." I pick her up and look at her forehead. "You're ok."

I look up before my eyes were on the woman beside him. "If you'll excuse me."

"Dia wait."

"Don't call me that. Only people close to me get to call me that."

I walk away and head to the cancer ward. I step into the elevator and as the doors close he was still standing there looking at me.

I release a breath when the doors close. I glad be didn't see her face properly because there's no doubt who her father is. From the hair to the eyes and that damn birthmark she was born with.
