The party was in buzzing with the main top of conversation the new CEO. Quite frankly I don't see what to talk about. It was just a new boss.

Lia went to socialize, probably getting juicy gossip from the older women.

"Dia hi! Its been so long since I last saw you."

"Anabel! It feels like ages. Second child?"

"Fourth. I have a set of twins one year old."

"Wow. You're turning into a supermom."

"The mom part yes but the super I don't know about. I'm not having anymore after this one. I want to be able to sit and don't have to rush to the bathroom every minute."

"I feel your pain even if it's been two years. But nothing can beats the feeling of motherhood."

"Facts. Oh I need to use the bathroom. I hope to see you again soon."

"You too."

"Welcome everyone. As most of you know I'll be retiring and this company will be under new management. Its been a pleasure working with all of you and I hope the new CEO will think the same. Everyone put your hands together for Domenico Silvestri."

Domenico Silvestri? It can't be the same person can it?

My jaws hit the well shine floor when he step out beside Mr. Ben. He look so...grown-up from when I last saw him. The last time I saw him we were twenty one. We have different paths so we went different ways.

"Hello everyone. I don't have much to say but I hope in the future we have can have a wonderful work relationship. Thank you."

"Dia! Is that who I think it is?"

"Yeah."

"Wow. Just wow. I know I spot that witch he call mother. Though I was hallucinating."

"It doesn't matter anyway. Still can't believe Mr. Ben is retiring."

"I know. I'm gonna miss the old man."

"Dia sweetheart."

"Mr. Ben."

"Its good to see such a face. How have you been and how is my little girl?"

"She's as energic as ever. How is Malia?"

"She's hanging in there."

"I'm coming by the hospital tomorrow so I'll visit her."

"She'll love that. She's waiting on your next book."

"It will be out next month. Just some final touches going on."

"Good. I need to keep my collection going." I chuckle. "Have you met your new boss yet?"

"Nope."

"We can't have that." He grab my hand and pull me behind him. "He has to know what he's getting when he running this company."

I exchange a look with Lia and her face said it all.

Its not a reunion either of us want.

"Mr. Silvestri. I have someone I want you to meet. This is Diamond Dion."

"Mr. Silvestri. Its a pleasure getting to work under you."

I held eye contact with him not showing anything.

"Its a pleasure getting to work with you Ms. Dion."

"She's our top editor and also a Bestselling author."

"Is she? I must have miss those."

I want to roll my eyes but that would be impolite since he's now my boss.

"Do you use this company?"

"No. Anyway not to be rude but Lia and I better get going. Mr. Ben I will see you tomorrow."

"You too dear."

I grab Lia and pull her away.

"I hope that never happen again."
