Marrying With A Chance Of Freedom
When Lia said ten steps I didn't expect it to be exactly ten steps. Its scary how accurate her estimations were. I jog on the spot before sprinting all the way back home.
It's been two years since I've given birth and I'm still trying to remove the baby fat. I'm not ashamed of my body because my daughter was heaven sent. But I miss the way I was before and I was slowly achieving my goal. Just time and patience.
Lia was waiting at the door with a smile on her face. "You've done well. I have breakfast ready."
"Thank God because I am famished." I was glad Neveah-Angel was still a sleep. I know her name is long, but I couldn't choose between the two so I make both into one.
Neveah woke up just as I finish breakfast. I enter the nursery and took her from the crib.
"My little angel."
"Mama." I place her on the changing table and remove her night wear and diaper before getting a fresh set and going to my room.
I should be starting work soon so I better hurry and get us ready. I work from home as a copy editor and I'm damn well good at my job. I wrote over six romance novels in the last two years and they were a success.
After showering I dress Neveah and then myself before going downstairs. "There's my precious angel." And there goes my daughter probably for the rest of the day.
I turn my laptop on and I already got work. I'm determined to finish it before the day is over because tomorrow is Neveah check up day. She's healthy but its expected.
Halfway through the day Neveah came creepy towards me with a toothy smile.
"Mama." I set my laptop aside and pick her up.
"Some is hungry now." I get up and walk to the kitchen. I have sliced up some fruits yesterday so I get it from the fridge and put it in her bowl.
I went back to the living room and place her on the floor. She immediately start eating. I forgot her water so I went to get it.
Now that her attention was on her plate I went back to work.
"Dia we have to go into the office. They are having a get together to welcome the new boss."
"New boss? Who do we need a new boss?"
"A man from the Silverman family bought it. He better be as sweet as Mr. Ben."
"What time? I need to let mom and dad know I'm dropping off Neveah."
"Eight."
"OK we got time." Lia went back to work and I finish up. My butt was number but I got to make some money.
I send in my work and stretch. I grab my phone and text mom so she knows what's up. They are always more than happy to have the grandkids over. They have five grandkids. My sister has three, my brother has one and then Neveah make the very last one.
We're rather proud that we can make them have grandkids to bound with. They aren't getting any younger. I hope one day I can get the boy but for now I'll spend as much time with my little angel.
