Chapter 20

"Kane are you alright," Ezra asked. "Yes," Kane replied. "We should go before they stop fighting," Atlas said. "Go where exactly," a voice said from behind them. "Ah weren't you just over there," Atlas asked shaking a little. "I move fast," the man said coldly. "Snake, stop scaring them," Kane said walking towards him. "Kane what are you doing," Ezra asked. "Very well I won't," Snake said looking down at Kane. "Did he just listen to you," Atlas asked shaking. "Kane what's going on," Ezra asked. Kane sighed then turned to face his friends. Atlas was holding into Ezra afraid of what might happen. "This isn't the first time Snake has helped me," Kane stated. "The first time was by accident Kane," Snake added. "Shut up," Kane said. "Fine, I'll let you speak," Snake said shutting up. "Boss," Riot said walking up to Snake. "What is it," Snake asked coldly. "We need to go. Someone called the police about the fight," Riot said. "Get Bones and the car," Snake said. "Yes sir," Riot said then ran off. "I have to get going. Be more careful will you," Snake said before walking away. Kane looked back at his friends and sighed. "You have some explaining to do Kane Heroux," Ezra said. "I know," Kane said. "No one can talk to Snake like that. Not even the people who are on his side," Atlas stated. "That's cause everyone's afraid of him. He doesn't care much about other people," Ezra said. "He's not as mean as you think. After all, he did just help me with those guys and he's done it before," Kane said nervously. "Let's just go home," Atlas said dragging Ezra away. Kane followed slowly behind them. Once in the car, Ezra received a call from Mila. "What is it Mila we're getting ready to leave college. Did you guys make it home safely," Ezra asked. "Yes but um Akito's home and he seems angry. He's on the phone with someone and all we here is shouting. Zena is scared to come inside and is sitting on the porch with Zenith. I tried talking with Akito but he just yelled at me to go away. I think Axel's with him right now. I would've called Kane but I don't have his number," Mila said. "We'll be home in 20 minutes just stay out of the house for now I guess," Ezra said then hung up. "What's wrong," Atlas asked. "Kane, my sister said Akito's pissed about something but he's on a phone call. She and the twins are outside on the porch but she said Axel was inside with Akito," Ezra stated. "He's probably fighting with his brother again," Kane stated. "Do they fight all the time," Atlas asked. "He told me Tokoyami just makes him mad. He doesn't really say much but their arguments get pretty heated sometimes," Kane replied. They quickly headed home to see Mila and the twins standing in the yard. "Thank god you're back," Mila said hugging Ezra. "Brother," Zena said crying. "It's alright. What's going on," Ezra asked. "We heard him shouting from the porch so we decided to stand in the yard," Mila replied. "I'll go see what's going on if Akito," Kane said going inside. "Will he be alright," Mila asked. "I don't think Akito would hurt him," Atlas replied. After a few minutes, Axel came outside. "Axel," Mila said. "What," Axel replied. "Is he still mad," Mila asked. "Yes Kane's talking with him right now," Axel replied. "Let's go get some lunch. Everyone pile into the car," Ezra said. "Good idea," Atlas said. After everyone got into the car well besides Axel they drove off into town.

"I need to go," Akito said. "Akito," Kane said grabbing him. "What," Akito asked. "You're still mad. You're not driving like that," Kane said. "Kane im not staying here. I have shit to do. Me being pissed off has nothing to do with you," Akito said angrily. "It kinda does Akito, considering I'm your boyfriend. Your problems became mine when we got together. You were scaring the kids with your shouting and yelling over the phone. Hell to be honest I'm a bit afraid but I don't want you to drive off angrily and wreck your car," Kane said looking down. Akito walked over to Kane and hugged him. "I'm sorry. I don't want you to be afraid of me but I have a hard time controlling my anger," Akito said. "It's alright and I've noticed that you have a bad temper but that's not gonna change my mind about you. I know you can be a good person at times. I don't know what happened to have pissed you off so much but I'll always be here for you," Kane said hugging him back. Akito broke the hug and kissed him deeply not stopping until Axel knocked on the door. "Kane Akito the others went into town," Axel said. "Alright," Kane said. He looked up at Akito and gently moved his hair from his face. "What is it," Akito asked as Kane just stared at him. "I've never seen you with your hair down except when you would get out of the shower," Kane said. "I hardly ever have it down," Akito said. "I never realized how long it was til now," Kane said. "I haven't had a haircut in years," Akito said. "Are you planning on getting it cut," Kane said messing with Akito's hair. "I didn't plan on it," Akito said. "Good don't cut it. I like it long," Kane said. "Then I won't cut it," Akito said. Kane hugged him burying his face in his chest. "Have you calmed down," Kane asked. "Yes thanks to you," Akito said kissing him on top of the head. "I glad I could help," Kane said looking up at him smiling. "Have you had lunch," Akito asked. "Not yet," Kane replied. "I'll go make us some lunch then," Akito said breaking the hug. "Alright," Kane said happily. Akito left the room and went downstairs while Kane went to speak with Axel. "Hey Kane what up," Axel asked. "Akito's making lunch are you hungry," Kane replied. "Kinda, so you're actually dating him now," Axel said. "I guess you heard us," Kane said. "Yea have you told the others," Axel replied. "Not yet," Kane said. "Are you really okay with the fact that he's Snake," Axel asked. "Yes and no but I'm sure I'll get us to it," Kane replied. "You're both stubborn you know that right," Axel said laughing. "You are just as stubborn as I am. Keep that in mind," Kane laughed. "I know," Axel looked down at the paper in front of him. "Are you doing homework," Kane asked. "Yes it's for math class," Axel replied. "Do you need some help," Kane asked. "If you don't mind," Axel replied. "I'll help you," Kane said walking over and pulling up a chair beside him. About 30 minutes later Akito walked into the room. "Lunch is done if you two are ready to eat," Akito said. "Alright come on Axel take a break from your homework and come eat," Kane said getting up. "Ok," Axel said setting his pencil down. They followed Akito downstairs and into the kitchen. An hour later Ezra and the others returned home. "Hey guys," Atlas said. "Hey did you guys have fun," Kane asked. "Yes," Atlas replied laughing. "Ezra got soaked," Mila laughed. "It was your fault," Ezra said from behind her. "You're the one that stood there," Zena said. "Only cause Atlas made me," Ezra stated. "Where did you guys go," Kane asked. "We went to the fair. There was a water game there and Atlas made Ezra stand where we could spray him. It was so much fun," Mila said. "Where's Akito," Atlas asked. "He left not long ago. Tokoyami called him," Kane replied. "I'm going to go shower and change," Ezra said heading upstairs. "Hey wait you still have my phone," Atlas said chasing after him. "Zena, Zenith go ahead and get changed as well since you guys got wet as well," Mila said. "Alright sis," Zena said then ran upstairs. Zenith followed soon after her while Mila went back out to the car as she had forgotten her bag.

"What the hell Akito? Why would you say that? You might have just cost us this partnership," Tokoyami shouted. "It's not worth it. They were trying to screw you over. You're too stupid to tell that those people just want to use you," Akito said. "Akito not everyone is as bad as you think they are. I reviewed the contract they had. There wasn't anything suspicious about it," Tokoyami said. "I've been around shady people for years I've learned to tell who I can trust and who I can't. That man was one who you can't trust. Tokoyami I know you've been stressed because of work but trust me when it comes to this. This much I know," Akito said. "Ok Akito I'll trust you but please don't scare people like that anymore," Tokoyami said. "Why don't you take some time off work? I will take care of things for you while you're gone," Akito said. "I can't do that. You don't know as much as about business as I do," Tokoyami said. "I know enough. Go take a week off work and spend it with Kimberly," Akito said. Tokoyami sighed then stood up to leave. "Call me if something happens and you need help," Tokoyami said. "I will dont worry and relax," Akito said pushing him out the door. Tokoyami left and headed back home to see his wife. Akito went to the rest of the meeting before he went home himself. Once home he went into his room and laid on the bed. "Did you have a long day," Kane asked from the doorway. "Yes I made Tokoyami go home early so I had to attend the rest of his meetings," Akito said sitting up. "Why'd you make him leave," Kane asked walking over to him. "He was so stressed out that he almost made a mistake today," Akito said hugging Kane. "Well that was nice of you to let him leave," Kane said hugging him. Akito broke the hug to take his hair down and remove his tie then unbuttoned his shirt a little before hugging Kane again. Kane gently ran his fingers through Akito's hair. "Kimberly needs him right now anyway. She's having a baby soon," Akito said. "Really I didn't think she was that far along," Kane said. "Yea honestly me either til Tokoyami told me," Akito said. "Do you want to rest a bit before dinner? I can leave and come back once it's done," Kane asked. "You can stay in here with me if want. Right now I'm going to go shower," Akito said breaking the hug and standing up. "Alright," Kane said. "Whose all here right," Akito asked. "Just me and you. Axel Mila and the twins are in school. Ezra had to work and Atlas has classes," Kane replied. Akito kissed Kane deeply and passionately then slowly moved his hands up under Kane's shirt. Kane wrapped his arms around Akito's kneck. Akito broke the kiss and looked down at Kane whose face was red and was panting out of breath. "You're so cute," Akitos said kissing him on the forehead. "A...are you gonna shower," Kane asked embarrassed. "Yes I'll be quick," Akito said grabbing his clothes and walking into the bathroom. Kane sat on the bed burying his face with his hands. Fifteen minutes later Akito came out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a pair of pants and a towel around his neck. "Were you waiting for me," Akito asked. "I...umm...yes," Kane replied looking away. "You don't have to look away Kane," Akito said laughing. "I know but it's just that you're not wearing a shirt and water is still dripping down your chest," Kane said his face red. "I haven't dried my hair fully and I forgot my shirt in here," Akito said chuckling. Akito sat on the bed and dried his hair. "Will you bring me my shirt? It's on my dresser," Akito asked. "Yea," Kane said getting up. He grabbed the shirt and walked over to Akito. Akito grabbed his hand and pulled Kane on top of himself. "Akito what are you doing," Kane asked embarrassed. "What's it look like," Akito smirked. "I uh um," Kane said. Akito flipped Kane over leaning over him before kissing him deeply. He moved his hands up Kane's shirt eventually removing his shirt. "Akito...huff...wait," Kane said panting. "Are you alright," Akito asked looking down at him. "Yes..huff...ngh...just slow...huff...down...ngh...please," Kane replied. "Alright," Akito said.

"Hey Kane. How'd you get here so quickly? You overslept," Ezra asked. "Akito dropped me off when he got up after I told him I was late," Kane replied panting as he ran to class. "Here drink this," Ezra said handing him a bottle of water. "Thanks," Kane said taking it. "You're lucky today," Ezra said. "Whys that," Kane asked. "The professor seems to be running late so he won't even know that you were late," Ezra laughed. Kane chuckled then pulled out his notes and book. When the professor walked in the whole class went silent. "Kane Heroux," the professor said. "Yes sir," Kane answered. "I want to speak with you after class," the professor said. "Ok," Kane said. "I'll meet you in the cafeteria," Ezra said then left. "What is it you want to talk about sir," Kane asked. "This is Akito's things that he left here the last time he took my class," the professor said handing Kane a folder as well as a book on business management. "I'll make sure he gets it," Kane said. "Thank you, young man. He left in the middle of my class that day and didnt even give an excuse," the professor stated. "He did," Kane said surprised. "Oh yes, he ran out of here ignoring me altogether. Left everything behind. He hasn't been back to my class or his other classes in a few days now. Hopefully, everything is alright," the professor said. "I'm sure he's just been busy," Kane said. "Well take care and be sure he gets his things," the professor said. Kane nodded then left to meet Ezra in the cafeteria. "Kane over here," Atlas yelled waving. Kane walked over to them and sat down. "What did the professor want," Ezra asked. "Akito left his stuff in his classroom and he wanted me to give them back to him," Kane replied. "Really," Ezra asked. "Yea he said that Akito just ran out of the room without reasoning even ignoring the professor. Left all his stuff still open at his seat," Kane stated. "He must have been in a hurry," Atlas said. "I hope nothing bad happened," Ezra said. "Why didn't he come today or yesterday," Atlas asked. "He was at the company yesterday and he's there now," Kane replied. "I thought Tokoyami took care of everything there," Ezra asked. "He sent Tokoyami home yesterday and told him to stay away for a week. Akito's gonna be busy all week," Kane replied. "Wow I thought Akito hated working at the company," Atlas said. "He does but he said Tokoyami has been so stressed lately that he sent him home to relax," Kane said. "Are you guys dating yet," Ezra asked. "Yea Kane tell us," Atlas said. "We are," Kane replied looking down at his phone. "Wait for real," Atlas asked. "Yes," Kane said. "Did you ask him or did he ask you," Ezra asked. "Um well neither he kinda just called me his boyfriend the other day," Kane said. "Well at least it's finally official," Ezra said. "It's about time," Atlas said happily. After they finished their meals they headed back to their classes.
