Chapter 15

Kane woke up to fighting downstairs. He got up and went downstairs. Kane saw Akito on the ground and Arlo knelt beside him. Kimberly and Veronica were frozen in place near the kitchen while Tokoyami was shouting at an older man. "Tokoyami he's waking up," Arlo said as he helped Akito to a sitting position. Akito wiped the blood from his face and looked over at Tokoyami and the older man. Kane went over to Akito and Arlo. "You alright," Kane asked helping Akito up. "Yea I'm alright," Akito replied. "That's enough Tokoyami. You shouldn't talk to me like that I'm your father," the older man said. "You stopped being my father when you disapproved of my marriage and Kimberly," Tokoyami said. "You married a commoner. We had a noblewoman lined up for you," the older man said. "You've disapproved of everything me and Tokoyami did," Akito stated. "You were a mistake Akito. You are a disgrace to the Akashiro family. For being a gay bastard and involved in the mafia," Mr. Akashiro shouted. "Ouch father, that hurt," Akito said sarcastically then laughed. "You bastard," Mr. Akashiro shouted. Tokoyami blocked their father from approaching Akito. "I think you should leave," Tokoyami said. "I'm only here cause of your mother. She wants to see you guys," Mr. Akashiro said then left after throwing an envelope at him. Tokoyami picked it up and opened it. "What is it," Akito asked. "Mom wants us to come visit her for her birthday tomorrow," Tokoyami replied. "Im not going ," Akito said. "No surprise there," Tokoyami said. Kimberly and Veronica looked at each other and then at the boys. "Are you gonna go Tokoyami," Verizon asked. "I guess so. Kimberly are you gonna go again this year," Tokoyami asked. "I'll go with you if you want me to," Kimberly said. "We'll be there," Arlo said. "You normally are," Tokoyami said. "Akito I think you should go this year. You haven't been to see Mom in years," Arlo said. "Im not going," Akito said. "I agree with Arlo here. Mom would be happy to see you. At least go for a couple of hours," Tokoyami said. "Fine but I gotta take care of something first," Akito said then went upstairs. Kane followed behind him.

"Hello Mom," Tokoyami said. "Tokoyami my dear it's so good to see you. And how are you and Miss Kimberly doing," Mrs. Akashiro asked. "We're doing good," Tokoyami replied. "Are your brothers here," Mrs. Akashiro asked. "Arlo is downstairs with Veronica. Akito said he'll be here later. He had to take care of something first," Tokoyami replied. "Akito is gonna come. I'm so glad," Mrs. Akashiro said. "Hii Mom," Arlo said entering the room. He walked over and hugged his mother. "Arlo my dear how are you," Mr. Akashiro said. Just then they heard shouting from the other room They quickly went into the room to see Mr. Akashiro yelling at Akito. The guards were refusing to let him into the house. "Let him inside," Mrs. Akashiro said. The guards allowed Akito to enter. "Akito you made," Arlo said. "Unfortunately," Akito said. Mrs. Akashiro hugged Akito tightly. "It's been so long Akito. How have you been dear," Mrs. Akashiro asked. "Been doing good mother," Akito replied. Mrs. Akashiro stepped back and saw someone standing behind Akito. "Who's this young man," Mrs. Akashiro asked. "This is Kane," Akito replied. "Hello dear it's nice to meet you," Mrs. Akashiro said reaching out her hand. "Same here ma'am," Kane replied shaking her hand. Tokoyami pulled Akito aside. "Why did you bring him here," Tokoyami asked. "I'm only here to say hello to Mother then I'm leaving. Kane was with me so I brought him with me," Akito replied. Akito walked back over to Kane and took his hand. As they headed for the door Akito stopped and turned back. "It was good to see mother. Happy birthday," Akito said tossing a small gift in front of her before leaving. "Akito," Kane said. "Yea," Akito replied. "Do you not get along with your family? Uh um if you don't me asking," Kane asked. "My father is the only that has an issue with me. My mother told me as long as I'm happy she's happy," Akito replied. "I'm sorry," Kane said. "Why are apologizing," Akito asked as he opened the car door for Kane. "I don't exactly know," Kane replied. Akito shut the door then went to the other side. "Akito," Tokoyami shouted. "I'm not staying any longer Tokoyami," Akito said opening the door. "I'm not gonna ask you to. I wanna know how you were able to pay for that necklace," Tokoyami asked. "I'm in the mafia Tokoyami figure it out," Akito said then got into the car. Akito drove off towards Kane's house. "Um, can we turn the radio on please," Kane asked. "Yea go ahead," Akito replied. Kane turned on the radio then sat back in his seat. "Why did Tokoyami ask you about the necklace," Kane asked. "He probably thinks I stole it," Akito said.

 As they turned onto another road Akito suddenly stopped the car. "Everything alright," Kane asked. "Wait here and lock the doors," Akito replied then got out of the car. He walked out in front of the car then reached his hand out. Akito looked around before walking into the woods. Kane watched the woods where Akito had entered and waited for him to return. Just then Kane's window was shattered and the door was opened. Before he knew what was going on he was pulled out of the car and thrown to the ground. Akito heard the car alarm blaring and ran out of the woods. "Don't come any closer Snake," a man said. "I'm sorry but I'm afraid you have the wrong guy," Akito said. "I don't Akito Akashiro. I know your Snake," the man said as he motioned the other men to surround him. "Look dude you seriously got a screw loose or something. Cause I'm not Snake. Plus I don't even know who you are," Akito stated. "Im Reaper the leader of the Slitthroats. I know you Snake, Akito. While I was locked up my men worked hard to find who you are. But I didn't expect that Snake would turn out to be Akito Akashiro. The second son of a noble family. Your parents must be disappointed," Reaper said. Akito laughed then stepped forward a bit. "Reaper do you think I'm that stupid? I knew you idiots set this trap. I'm just amazed you thought I'd fall for it," Akito said looking down at Kane who was trembling underneath Reaper's foot. Reaper pointed his gun at Kane's head. "Stop where you are or I'll kill this kid," Reaper shouted. "Alright I'll let you call the shots," Akito said putting his hands up. "Does the cold-hearted Snake have a heart after all to care about this kid," Reaper joked. Akito smirked then suddenly threw himself to the ground. Just as he did bullets flew from the surrounding woods and the trap was set off. After it had calmed down Akito got up and tackled Reaper to the ground. Akito took the gun from him and tossed it away. Kane stood up and went back to the car afraid of what would happen. Akito started beating the shit out of Reaper. Kane watched as a snake approached Akito then turned into a person. "Master," Fuyuki said. Akito stood up and looked down at Reaper. "You really should've just stayed in jail Reaper," Akito said. "Fuck you Snake," Reaper said coughing up blood. "Throw him the ditch with his buddies, Fuyuki. I need to take Kane home," Akito said walking back to the car. "Yes master but you are covered in blood. Be sure to clean up first," Fuyuki replied. Akito nodded then got into the car and drove off.

"Are you alright," Akito asked breaking the silence. "Y...yea I think so," Kane replied trembling. Akito pulled up to a house and turned the car off. "Come on," Akito said getting out of the car. Kane got out of the car and walked over to Akito. Akito grabbed Kane's hand and led him inside the house. "Here you can take a shower first," Akito said handing him a towel and clothes. "Um thanks," Kane said taking them. "The bathrooms through there. Once you're done we can treat your wound," Akito said. "What bout you? You're covered in blood as well. Are you hurt at all," Kane asked. "I'm alright. The blood isn't mine," Akito replied. "Oh ok," Kane said. Kane went into the bathroom and took a shower. After he was done he went into the living room. Kane saw Akito sitting on the couch and walked over to him. Akito looked up at him then pulled him into a hug. Kane froze a moment then hugged him back. "I'm sorry you got involved with my shit again," Akito said. Kane tightened his grip around Akito. "Thank you for saving me," Kane said. "Anytime, now let's treat your wounds," Akito said. "Alright," Kane said breaking the hug. Akito sat Kane down on his lap causing him to blush. Akito chuckled at his reaction then opened the first aid kit beside him. "Luckily it's not too bad," Akito said gently putting medicine on Kane. Kane winced in pain a little. "Does it hurt," Akito asked. "Just a little bit," Kane replied. Akito chuckled then kissed Kane. Kane's eyes widened and his face turned bright red. Kane started kissing him back wrapping his arms around Akito's neck.

"Akito...huff...wait," Kane said panting. Akito stopped and looked down at him. "You alright," Akito asked. "You're. ..huff...going...huff...ngh....fast," Kane replied. "I'll slow down," Akito chuckled then kissed Kane. They ended up going a few more rounds before Kane passed out. The next morning Kane woke up next to Akito. Kane gently touched Akito's face which caused him to wake up. "Ah sorry I didn't mean to wake you," Kane said pulling back. Akito laughed then pulled Kane towards him kissing him deeply. After some time Akito broke the kiss and stood up. "Do you need help," Akito asked. "I don't think so," Kane replied. Kane stood up from the bed but then fell. Akito walked over to him and helped him up. "Here I'll help you dressed," Akito said. "There's no need," Kane said blushing. Akito laughed as he sat Kane on the bed and walked over to get some clothes. "Here you can wear these. They should fit you," Akito said setting the clothes down beside him. "Thanks," Kane said. "I'll go make us some breakfast. Come down when you're ready," Akito said then left the room. Kane got dressed then made his way downstairs as well. Kane sat down at the table then Akito walked over and handed him a plate of food. "Eat up," Akito said. Kane ate as he watched Akito clean up the dishes. "Akito," Kane said. "Yea," Akito replied turning towards him. "Who's place is this," Kane asked. "It's mine," Akito replied. "But the house we live in is yours. You own 2 houses," Kane said. "Well technically this is Snake's house but it was closer and I needed to change out of the bloody clothes," Akito replied. Kane looked down at his plate. "It's safe here. Only Fuyuki and Hymir know where this place is," Akito said. "You really are Snake," Kane said shaking a little. "I may be Snake but I'm still me Kane. That will never change. I promise that I will protect you and keep you safe," Akito said hugging Kane. Kane hugged him back tightly. "Finish eating then I'll take you home. I'm sure the others are wondering where you are. Considering your phone kept going off throughout the night," Akito said. "Wait for real. I never heard go off," Kane said. "You passed out last night while we were..."Don't say it," Kane said placing his hand over Akito's mouth. Akito chuckled as he moved his hands and kissed him.
