Episode 19

NARRATOR

As soon as Irina returned to the mansion, she told everyone about Celeste and her daughter Sol moving in. Immediately, everyone started preparing a special room for them. They all knew what they had been through, so they would be very careful with them and support Victor in taking care of them and making them feel safe in the mansion. That way, they wouldn't want to leave and Victor would be happy.

Everyone divided the tasks. Some went out to get things for the baby, while others stayed back to decorate the room. Irina helped with the food to welcome them to the mansion. As everyone organized things in the mansion, Victor was on his way with the two women who had stolen his heart.

Even though he still had a long way to go in winning over Celeste, he had the affection of Sol and for now, that was enough for him. He hoped that soon, with the help of a psychologist, Celeste would accept him and they could be a family together. That filled him with a lot of excitement and joy.

Just as his grandparents had predicted, the women who would turn him into their slave had arrived for him. Celeste, on the other hand, was very nervous because she had been hurt before, and now Victor was showing her that she deserved to be cared for and treated like a queen. Victor brought her to the mansion, but she didn't dare to get close. She was afraid of getting hurt.

As soon as they arrived at the mansion, there were still some details to sort out in their room, but everything was moving quickly to make everything perfect, just as Irina wanted it, so that Celeste could feel comfortable and happy, as well as her brother-in-law.

Upon entering, Celeste felt even more nervous because she had never been in a mansion before, let alone one as grand as the one in front of her. On impulse, Victor took her hand to show his support. She was surprised and felt very nervous, although she pulled away. Victor smiled because she blushed.

As soon as Victor's mother met Celeste, she found her to be a very beautiful woman, just like her daughter. She could see in her son's eyes that this woman had stolen his heart, and of course, she would support him in everything. She made Celeste feel safe at all times, showed her support and affection for her and her daughter. She would do anything to prevent her son from suffering, especially because of the woman he loved.

The men in the family kept their distance so that she would not feel uncomfortable, and that made her feel very relaxed. Celeste smiled shyly. It had been a long time since anyone had respected her space so much. The man who had abused her for over a year never accepted "no" as an answer. In contrast, everyone in that mansion gave her space and respected her wishes, which made her feel very at ease. Since the room assigned for Celeste and her daughter still smelled of fresh paint, she would stay that night in a room next to Irina's for her comfort. The next day, she could occupy the room they had decorated especially for the two of them.

"Well, Celeste, welcome to our family. We will take good care of you here," Victor's mother spoke.

"Thank you, ma'am. We wouldn't have wanted to bother you. We apologize for any inconvenience," Celeste replied softly.

"It's no trouble at all. You are my son's friend, therefore, a part of this family. So you and your daughter are more than welcome here, and feel at home. Now, let's all have dinner as the family we are," expressed Victor's mother.

"That's right, Celeste. We're all a family here, so you don't have to be ashamed of being here. You are welcome," Irina added, and Celeste smiled.

Then, everyone moved to the table and started dinner. Some joked and made funny comments, which made them laugh a lot. They laughed particularly because Victor didn't want to let go of Sol. He didn't want anyone else to hold her, only him. He seemed like a child who didn't want anyone to take away his new toy, and Sol was just the same. If they took her away from him, she would cry, which surprised Celeste since she never cried over such things, but apparently, the little girl loved Victor.

After dinner, Victor accompanied Celeste to show her his room. He kept his distance, but since he was carrying Sol in his arms, she allowed him to enter and lay the baby down in a crib they had placed next to her bed. Irina had thought of everything to ensure their comfort and make them not want to leave. Victor, after placing Sol in the crib, planted a kiss on the baby's forehead and bid Celeste goodbye with a smile. This time, she smiled shyly and locked the door to the room. She was still afraid, as her past experiences had not yet been overcome, and she was just getting to know the people in that mansion. No matter how good they seemed, her survival instinct prevailed. She was scared, so she did everything she could to feel secure, but that is a feeling that will pass with time and psychological help.

Victor left the room with a smile, thinking that he would gradually win Celeste's heart. He didn't know that he didn't have to make much effort for it, as she had also fallen in love with him. However, she was afraid and needed to overcome her fears before attempting a relationship with him.

The whole family was happy with the girl and the baby, as there had never been a baby in the family before. They wanted to spoil and pamper her in every way, and Celeste found it amusing because they competed over who could give the baby the best gift. They were like children fighting to surprise the new girl, but Sol just wanted to be with Victor, and that made him even happier.

And so the days passed. Dimitri and his brothers worked to ruin Irina's family, while Steven worked hard on his own, far from his wife and in-laws, to advance his company. He didn't want to get involved in what they wanted to do to Irina because, although he never loved her, he had known her since they were children and didn't want to see her suffer from the loss of her daughter.

He couldn't understand how Ines, being pregnant, wanted to harm her sister in such a way. Because of this, he had considered divorce, as he married thinking that Ines was a sweet, kind, and innocent woman, but with her intentions towards Irina, she proved to be the complete opposite, and it bothered him. Ines would not be willing to grant him a divorce, so he hadn't brought up the topic yet, but he thought about it and considered it more every day. The only thing stopping him was that she was expecting their child, and he couldn't leave his baby alone with a mother like her, so he resolved to wait until their child was born to separate from her and seek custody of the child.
