Mary, after ordering the unconscious she-wolves to be taken to the dungeons of the mansion, led Alessa and Celia to an area that resembled a small fighting arena. “Empress, please follow me,” he said calmly while they followed him. The sisters exchanged puzzled glances at the salute but decided not to clarify it now.
In that place, Mary looked at Camil, who noticed her bindings were loose. At that moment, she didn’t understand, but when she saw Mary take off her clothes, she knew she would be in serious trouble.
“Camil, you came to this pack as a refugee, someone who needed a lifeboat, and you were given everything, even a part as one of the alpha's concubines until his Moon arrived. But you betrayed the hand that fed you. Now you only have one chance, just one. The witch Blanca cast a spell as the Wolf took her last breath, but just then, a faint light appeared around her, transforming into Camil, who was gravely injured.
"Camil, your wolf has died; now you are just a being without a wolf. You will have to live with this until the Alpha arrives and decides your fate; you do not deserve such a pure creature"said the old woman as she withdrew, with her limited strength. Camil cried and screamed in sadness; her beloved Wolf was gone, leaving her half of something that no longer existed.
Alessa and Cecil felt pity for Camil's desperation, but they did not show it. They knew they were the weakest there in terms of strength but had to display fortitude to be respected.
Neil approached Alessa and bowed.
"Empress, I am Neil Mistick, the Beta of the pack. I am the right hand of the alpha and responsible for the order enforced by his decisions; I am now at your service"he said calmly as Alessa made an elegant bow. Alessa's manners were charming; she had developed them naturally.
Although the teachers taught such things only to Magenta, Alessa only needed to observe once to learn it perfectly, which had drawn the deep resentment of the Duchess, who could see how superior the daughter of a concubine was compared to her own child.
