Chapter 5 - Problems

It's really a bad timing. Why they attack when i'm in a hungry condition? No matter what i want to eat my dinner first.

"Kire, let's eat first."

"We can't brother, what if we got attacked when we eat our dinner?"

"Then we can attack them back?"

"Brother..." Kire looked at Nare with sharp eyes.

"Fine, let's go find the other first."

They both went to the hut to find the other. But they don't find anyone there. They check the kitchen, the restroom and every room in the hut but it's empty.

"Where are they?"

"Brother, let's find them."

"Where do you think you can find them?"

"Village entrance gate?"

"Yosh, let's go there."

Nare and Kire went to the village's entrance gate to find the other. But only found out that the village's gate is destroyed. Nare without thinking twice take his sister's arm and run to his house. He thought that his house could be destroyed, that's why he rushed there. When they arrived, they meet with the others who also looking for them.

"Where have you guys been?" Gina asked. "We're very worried about you guys."

"Sorry Gina, my brother and I had wanted to have dinner at a restaurant, then suddenly there was a shout from outside. So we went out and headed straight for the hut. We thought we can find you guys there, but you guys aren't there."

"Oh, actually we are looking for you guys after we heard people screaming. That's why we went to your house."

What a coincedence. No, they just worried about us. But the thing is now we need to do something. "Hey guys, do you know what is going on right now?"

"There's someone attacking our village."

"How did you know Leo?" if Leo is right, we are in a big trouble since three of our strongest mage in the village is not here.

"I actually met them a few days ago."

Leo actually meet them? "Why don't you stop them then?"

He sighed. "Idiot, how do i know if they were the attacker?"

Gah, he's also right. Wait, so he saw them again today? Leo must have felt something strange about them since days ago. But he was still doubtful about them.

Well this is the first time that our village got attacked. I remember that this village have a magic shield that protect us from getting attacked by magic. But somehow there's a fire in our village. So i'm assuming that the attacker is cooperating with someone in this village.

"Hey guys, this village have a magic shield right? What if there's someone in this village working together with the attacker?"

"You're thinking the same Nare? Well i know that the attacker didn't use fire magic."

"But there's a fire right? Then what magic did he use?" Kire asked.

"I don't sense any magic from them, at least not elemental magic."

Ah he is right. There's not only elemental magic in this world. There are also other magic such as spirit magic, gravity magic and other. But if someone can use non-elemental magic, they can't use elemental magic. That's what people say, but i might think there's a possibility that a non-elemental magic can use elemental magic too.

"So what kind of magic they use then?" Shone stood up and closing the curtain. "If they can use fire, there's a possibility they can use spirit magic to summoning something."

"Huh, i don't know. But now we need to evacuate the villagers."

"They can run into Heljen Village if they want or North Mountain."

Suddenly the atmosphere in the room became worse.

Heljen Village might be a good choice but the village is smaller than ours, maybe they don't have good defenses there either. About North Mountain...

Leo stood up and went outside without speaking a word.

It's always happening. Every time we talk about North Mountain, he always avoid it. "He's still don't want to talk about it huh." We've been friends since we were 8. But he doesn't want to talk about his past. Maybe it's really hurting him so much when we talk about his past.

"I'm sorry, i'm going to apologise to him." Shone stands up and goes outside looking for Leo.

There's only three of us left in this room with a bad atmosphere. I don't know how to deal with this situation.

"Right now we should hurry and go back to the village before something worse happened."

"You're right Kire, let's go guys."

They three went outside and finding Leo and Shone already waiting for them.

"What took you guys so long? I've waited like 5 minutes already."

"Eh, i thought you need sometime to think." his face looks really bad. I don't know what Shone do to him.

"For what? I'm waiting for you guys to go out but turns out only Shone."

"Sorry sorry, let's go."

The five of them went to the main village road and found that there was no one there. And almost every building in the village caught fire. After that they went to the village rear entrance.

"There's everybody."

"Looks like they're safe for now."

It really looks they are safe for now. But when i look at their face, they're not feeling that they are safe right now. There must be something wrong, maybe i'll talk to them.

Nare's talking to the villager while the others protecting the villagers. After Nare asking a few people, he know the problem is. Then he gather with the others.

"Guys, looks like our enemy is a non-elemental mage. And they say that there's two of them."

"That's dangerous brother. maybe we should evacuate them first."

"Well, i'm going to find them with Leo and Shone, you girls take the villagers to the safe place."

"Okay brother, come on Gina."

Nare, Leo and Shone went to the village again to find the attacker while Gina and Kire taking the villagers to the safe place.

"Leo, you saw them right? How do they look?"

"They use a cape, i think it's anti elemental magic cape."

"So we our magic is not effective huh."

This is bad. Even though we can use our elemental weapon to attack, but without our magic attack it's hard. Because we know that they are non-elemental mage so they can use spirit magic or other, plus they have anti elemental magic cape. If i use my Eradicator to attack, they can set a trap because i'm going to them. If i use my magic, it will probably not effective and maybe even useless to use. But now there's no turning back. No one can save this village if not us.
