War Of The Mad Kings

War Of The Mad Kings

Girl In Hands Of The Death

*In the middle of a cold forest covered with a fresh layer of snow, a young woman in a blue dress stained with blood staggered. In her right hand she held tightly her younger sister, who was barely able to stand.

"Older sister Aife, I can't anymore."

The girl said in a tearful and choked voice. The sounds of heavy breathing and the clicking of the girl and woman's teeth had just carried through the silent forest, a strong and biting wind caressed the girl's body and she shivered uncontrollably in response.

Their bare feet dug into the high snow more and more with each step, and with each step they turned red and ceased to feel it.

Aife looked pityingly at her younger sister and stopped, her yellow eyes resembling those of a cat and incapable of even crying. Why! Why is this happening! What have we done?!

The girl had asked herself these questions countless times. And she could only think of one answer - hate.

In this world, it was natural for people who felt hatred for races other than human to resort to great massacres and extermination.

And this winter morning was what people referred to as a "cleansing" for the girls. This day was a day of suffering and despair for the girls.

Girls who lived in a peaceful village full of friendly people and some half-human races were victims of a similar massacre.

People who pretended to be friendly became more than monsters in a few moments.

Their slaughter was overwhelming, the streets, houses and even the roads leading supplies to the village within minutes were filled with the dead bodies of demi-humans, fairies and many other creatures.

However, a small group of humans did not join in the carnage, but rather tried to protect these races. It would seem that the humans, seeing the demi-humans on the side of their species, would at least consider leaving them alive. However, the opposite was true, the people who tried to protect the demi-humans ended up just like them.

Aife looked around, the biting breeze hitting her face hard and her green hair floated in the air, revealing a horn on Aife's forehead.

Aife looked back at her little sister, who returned her sad gaze.

She knew there was no escape, she knew there was no way out of this deep forest. This forest was very deep and everyone could easily get lost in it, as if driven by some strange magic. Even adventurers preferred to avoid this forest.

Suddenly, Aife passed out.

Lara immediately knelt down next to Aife's body and shook her.

"Sister what's wrong are you okay!"

"Lara...."

Aife slowly turned her head towards Lara and smiled sadly.

"Lara, I'm sorry. I didn't protect you. I'm sorry you have such an incompetent older sister."

Lara smiled and leaned over and hugged Aife tightly.

"I'm glad to have you big sister. You're not incompetent. You protected me."

At that moment, Lara lay down next to Aife, snuggling close to her and closing her tearful eyes, both waiting for a slow death.

"[Healt] [Magic Warm]."

Suddenly, the two of them heard a woman's soft voice.

A green ring appeared beneath her body after the spell was cast, sending a large portion of green energy 2 meters upwards.

This powerful magical energy instantly healed the girls' frostbite and injuries.

Suddenly, a red dome 2.5 meters high formed above them.

This dome provided the girls with warmth as if they were in a warm house.

The girls, mesmerized and frightened by such powerful magic, immediately got to their feet.

And then*-.
